Mango Delight, Surf & Turf, and Volcano Roll
    Katrina F.

A beautiful restaurant with great food. A must try for any foodie. Wasn't too sure about vegan sushi, but the flavors won us over! Plus, if you aren't open minded about trying something new they still have plenty of meat options with their traditional Japanese food offerings like Katsu and sizzling plates with beef, pork or chicken. But being adventurous we tried 3 different rolls- Mango Delight, Surf & Turf, and a Volcano Roll (the volcano was my favorite and my husband loved their Surf & Turf).

It's so good! Food and service were excellent! The sushi rolls are all vegetarian and it surprised me how much I enjoyed them.

My friend had the prosciutto fig and Bri sandwich, she absolutely loved it, it was too much to eat all of it so she took it home! But there is a but! So my dear friend engaged in a very yummy crêpe with caramelized, apples and cinnamon, which we all got to taste..yum! Our coffee was delicious. I should be able to eat somewhere without paying a 33% increase in my bill because of a medical condition. I was NOT told there would be a charge for GF, and it is not listed on the menu. I got an iced latte and had to pay $2 extra for milk and syrup - again ridiculous. I added tomatoes and was charged another $2. My bill ended up being $36 with tip for a quick breakfast stop for a coffee and a crepe. I would love to come back as my crepe was delicious but this meal cost me more than going out to a sit down restaurant with a cocktail where we have a waiter.

While I should be posting as a posted a review my fingers were just a little juicy from the chicken, that's a good start! I ordered the same; Chicken, Green Chile Mac and baked beans. Stephanie was on task and asked me to wait a few and the wait was about 5 minutes. I glanced back at the kitchen and saw her and that chicken doing that juicy dance a smile came across my face, I said to myself.. good start! I started with the beans, yes, finally, spiced and seasoned with some heat, not mushy, firm and with some onions calling my name. Okay, it's working now..seasoning was on point. Green Chile Mac! Hello Green Chiles, where have you been! Thank YOU! Chiles were good size and were complimentary to the Mac. Those were in fact Green Chiles.. firm with a good bite and texture. The cheese didn't overrun the Chiles all in balance. Now the chicken, no bbq sauce was needed as there was nothing to cover up! Juicy, moist and flavor filled with just a hint of smoke as to not over power the chicken. Even after an hour the chicken is still moist and seasoning again just enough to let the bird shine. Overall this return visit was worth the try. I appreciate owners when a customer is truthful about a review and is honest and can tell the owners what was an issue and allow them the opportunity to fix if not for you but all of their customers. Without feedback you can grow a cliental. For me you have to eat, how the chef prepares the meal and allow their work to shine without adding extra salt, pepper or kill it with sauces but that's just me! The staff was so engaging and I actually found out they grew up in the same neighborhood so that's a plus. Overall - I was really happy and yes, some of that chicken may become a midnight snack. Thanks so much and up next is brisket!! Stephanie and Juan you rocked!

For having a lot of people working there, they seemed almost annoyed that they had to give me customer service at all. I didn't order ahead because their only online ordering system seemed to be Doordash, and I didn't feel like dealing with that, so I expected that I'd have to wait a bit, but it still felt slow even under those circumstances for catfish, fries, and some spicy mac and cheese. It's a little weird that the only extras it came with were two pieces of untoasted, plain white bread and some hot sauce. No sauce for the fries, or for the fish. Not unbearable, but a little stingy. Maybe there were sauces I could have grabbed, but the staff certainly weren't interested in suggesting anything. The fries were solid, with a good batter. If you're going to go there (and hey, maybe you're the sort of person they're nice to), definitely get some of those. The catfish was about what you'd expect from the catfish, so I wasn't mad about it. And mac and cheese was fine, they didn't skimp on the poblanos. If you happen to be in the area and need barbecue, it's probably an okay choice, but if you already have places you like, this may not be worth it. They're probably indifferent to your patronage either way.

The aesthetic extends to the interior, complete with old school coin-operated jukeboxes. I'm a huge fan of breakfast food and diners, so my expectations were already high; Rosie's delivered. This is the spot for delicious omelettes and milkshakes wrapped in yesteryear nostalgia. If I lived in the Denver metro, I would make this a regular weekend spot. I'm certain many in Colorado are well aware, but I extend the recommendation to my fellow out-of-towners. Have a cup of cofffee, omelette, and maybe a milkshake; you might leave stuffed full, but not upset. I enjoyed a Greek Omelette and a cup of coffee while my wife ordered biscuits and gravy. Prompt service and warm dishes, a great morning prep for the long drive ahead. Stop by if you're in the Denver area. I wouldn't mind another meal the next time we end up in Colorado.
