This was hands down, some of the best sushi I've ever had! Everything was fresh and delicious. I will 100% be coming back next time I'm in Denver. The staff was friendly and the vibe was perfect. I can not recommend this place enough! The mango roll, black dragon roll, and the amazing roll were all fire

Excellent food and service! The sashimi is always very fresh and tasty! The price is really unbeatable esp in Cherry Creek North neighborhood. Staff is always friendly! Highly recommend!!!

Stopped in for dinner before heading to the airport. This restaurant is located in a cute nook on the lower level of some shopping plazas. We were seated quickly and brought waters before having our orders taken. I used my Yelp check-in for a free hot Saki! Can't beat that. I decided on the lobster tempura roll. Our waiters was super friendly and accommodating. My friends are very "picky" eaters lol (they want everything deep fried, fried hard or well-done lol IYKYK) and our waitress was very patient and ensured everyone would enjoy their meal to their liking. We were brought a complimentary cucumber appetizer (I wish I remembered the correct name). It was delicious, sweet and refreshing. My tempura rolls were so yummy. Presentation was also beautiful. Beware, only one restroom stall.

Overall, a bang up experience. Hidden gem in Cherry Creek that's real easy to miss. It's on Steele St. just down the stairs. This always reminds me of mountain towns or bigger cities. Don't sleep on Hasu! A few of us dined in last Monday night and it was practically empty inside the restaurant, sans one table. They gave us the booth right near the front windows, which was plenty of room for the three of us. We held off on drinks, but loaded up on sushi and appetizers. For apps we ordered the tuna taco, crab cheese wontons and pork gyoza. All of it was solid. The rangoons were especially tasty with a tangy dipping sauce. Gyoza had good flavor, too. I ended up downing most of the tuna tacos, which looked like they were overly marinated, but ended up being a delectable choice as well. We ordered the sashimi platter for two, which was very reasonably priced for the amount of food it comes with. Salmon, tuna, yellowtail and a few others that I'm drawing a blank on as I write this. Sashimi and nigiri for both, with an additional, simple roll. All tasted fairly fresh and was well assembled. Not much to complain about. I think the atmosphere leaves something to the imagination, it seems like it could use a refresh. But maybe that's because it was empty on a weeknight. I can see myself returning to try more items and get my sushi fix!

She made the first time experience for my friends effortless and less confusing. They were out of cucumbers and avocados though so that kind of sucked. Not a big deal though. The meal was great and we had a lovely time. Oh and they had 2$ Sapporo! Your first 3 were 2$ I think. So good from the tap! Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.

Parking can be annoying (if you come to Cherry Creek you know it sucks) but once you're inside, it's great We got sat at this cute table that was set up, kind of like a cattycorner booth, perfect for two. Our server Marvis was great, he greeted us so quickly and talked through his recommendations for cocktails. I ended up trying the Yuzu margarita, which he said was the best drink on the menu, and I absolutely loved it. My friend had a lemon drop and also thought it was perfect. We started with the magic mushrooms appetizer - I almost looked past this but It wasn't mushrooms at all. (Thank god). It was really unique and yummy. I thought maybe they could elevate it a little more by adding some additional seasoning to the shrimp or even leaving it raw to accentuate the cold avocado in the center., but it was still really good. The nigiris were the standouts of the evening. - we tried the seared Ahi tuna, the grilled scallop, and the Unagi. Words cannot describe. If I could make a meal out of Nigiri alone, I would but with just two pieces per serving. It definitely adds up quick. We also got the big kahuna roll and the Pittsburgh roll. The big kahuna was delicious, with a spicy kick at the end thanks to the jalapeño. had a lot of depth of flavors and good texture. We finished off with the Ube crème brûlée, which was really rich and very Ube forward, definitely a unique and yummy dish. Prices are pretty standard for the area, for all this we each ended up paying about $80. Can't wait to come back and try more, and hopefully sit in Marvis' section again!

It was also an opportunity for me learn that it is/was one of the least impressive sushi restaurants I have been to in the Cherry Creek neighborhood or the entire greater Denver area. I am a believer in "try out and see for myself" person. I knew about the fairly low ratings of 3.5 stars they had but that didn't stop me. I am glad because now I know that Sweet Ginger isn't a place I would recommend to others if my friends are looking for a nice sushi place in centralized Denver. BUT.... They do have a reasonable happy hour menu and if someone is focusing on that element (only) then I might recommend it to them. Here is some highlights from yesterday: HH Appetizer section: It has 15 items listed in it (as of early/mid August of 2026). Prices range from $4.50 up to $7.50. Although I don't know each item's portion, based on what we got yesterday, the two items (age tofu and veggie tempura) were decently portioned for the kind of prices. They weren't masterfully cooked and prepared in any way and yet they were good enough. HH Sushi/sashimi section: We tried everything in it (8 different ones). They don't automatically come in two pieces so if you are splitting everything between two people then you order two pieces. Each (one piece) is $2.95. Not bad. The quality (in my frankest opinion) was okay-ish. Out of everything we ordered and ate, White Tuna and Yellowtail stood out. But as I indicated already, they are nowhere near the best in quality and freshness. Service...this was okay and quite basic (by one of the female workers). She was efficient though. In other words, she didn't make us wait for anything. Towards the end of our meal, there was a male worker who assisted us for our check. He was very pleasant and courteous. Upon leaving, two of the chefs inside the sushi bar thanked us for coming. We appreciated the kind gesture there. Whereas the restroom (ladies) was old and a bit dirty, the overall cleanliness's of the dining room was okay. The patio seating upfront is quite spacious; it'd be nice to sit outside as long as the weather permits (it was still too warm for us so we sat at one of the two-person tables inside at one of the big windows closer to the sushi bar.
