We ordered both the Taro Coconut Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Milk Tea when we stopped by. We arrived near closing time and they helped us out right away. The inside was well lit up, fully decorated, and there was plenty to see. They also had board games spread out for one's use. The drinks were good and we will stop by again if and when in the area.
I was craving some boba and this was conveniently on my way, so I stopped in one weekday morning. I had the place to myself and I was impressed with the layout of this spot. There are arcade games as well as traditional board games, plus a make your own noodle station which I had heard about at other countries places. The gal at the counter was friendly and welcoming. I asked about a few menu items and decided to go with the butterfly milk tea latte which comes with brown sugar, milk tea, honey boba, foam top, and a blue coloring to create an aesthetically pleasing effect. Prices were on the higher side but it was nice that boba is included so there's not an extra charge. I liked the salty flavor of the cream topping and the drink was pretty good. The boba could've been chewier and something in the drink unsettled my stomach a bit (could've been all the lactose). Overall it was refreshing and I'm glad I stopped by.
I love this boba spot - the customer service is always great and the drinks hit the spot! I like trying different boba spots especially in the East Valley since there are so many but I continue to come back to Hi 5 Tea!
Hi 5 Tea has learned to adapt since it's inception. While it's appearance inside has changed a few times since it's opening, the service is still great. Although it is not located in a highly trafficked area, you should visit. They have some new innovations that will entice you to stop by. First they have some claw machines that are easier to win. While we are there we played five rounds of the boxing game. We also played a few claw games and won a hello Kitty plushie. Next they have a Ramen station with a good selection of Ramen. You do not need to travel to Tempe to a place where you can pick out Ramen and then you can cook and eat it there. They are open till 10pm. 3rd they have updated their flavors of drinks and storms. Have you ever wanted to try Durian? Most places do not offer this flavor. They have it as a duran storm but it tastes authentic and your tastebuds will be confused if you have never had it. Some might think it tastes like a mix of fruit and garlic, so be warned all who have heard about it but are not used to it's unique taste. They have some other great flavors. They also have waffles and serve blue bell ice cream. Say hi to Andy and enjoy the new flavors and options. check out the pics at the end to see the new additions
Came in on a Wednesday night and it was empty. I got a Taro Storm, Oreo milk tea and Okinawa Milk Tea. Unfortunately, the drinks were not good. Very bland and watery. I will not be coming back.
Cute little tea spot with snack options and claw machines!!! We had the Deluxe Mangonada and it was overflowing that they had to put it in a bitter container! It was refreshing and delightful with the right amount of tajin. I had the Dragonfruit storm and it was also very good! Claw games were 1 token each and there was a promo if you spent $20 you were guaranteed a prize but we only spent $10 to try it out. Service was amazing and this tea shop is adorable!!

This place has changed a lot since the last time I was here. That was probably early last year. They added claw machines, two racks of assorted ramen and machines to cook your ramen. I just came for a drink since I was in the area and wanted something cold. Got the taro coconut storm which was good but a bit pricey. Think it was almost $7 without any boba, other toppings, or tip!! Thats a lil high. Service was great though. She gave me time to look over the menu and then started on my drink as soon as I finished ordering
I'm honestly so surprised no one has mentioned how sweet the drinks here are! I have a bit of a sweet tooth and will go anywhere between 50% to 100% sugar -- but I asked for low sugar here and still added a whole cup of water to my tea to make it more drinkable. I had ordered the kumquat coconut tea, which came with rainbow jelly and pieces of coconut for a nice texture. But the sweetness was hard to get past. My friend had the same experience with the milk tea at 50% sweet, but water would've just watered the drink down, so that was pretty unfixable. The popcorn chicken was pretty good -- very flavorful, although a bit salty. Plus, the people working there were very kind, so I wanted to enjoy it, but I don't think I'll be back.
Very cute spot. I recommend mixing their Storm drinks. I got the Mango and Dragonfruit, which is creamy and just right amount of sweetness for me. I usually get most of my drinks half sweet as well. While you wait they have board games and old school video games, which I think most boba spots should have. Another standard I think most boba spots should have are snacks. Hi 5 has it and they go so well with their drinks.
Stopped by this place with my family as we heard they have some claw machines that my kids missed playing with when we visited Japan. The amount of machines they had and plushies are pretty large and since they had a deal on the Friday for some bonus tokens we leveraged that so my kids could try a bunch of the machines. I think the claws themselves are pretty good and not as weak as some of places. Overall, I would recommend this place to those looking to try out some cool claw machines, get some family activity in and grab some boba tea at the same time.
The atmosphere is fun and family friendly but the drinks were the star on this visit. The taro coconut milk tea with boba was BLENDED BLISS! It is the perfect combination of the two flavors and I would go out of my way just to have this drink again. The menu has a lot of great options so there is something for everyone. The service was great, the staff was chatting with us about the boba options and combinations to help us pick out the perfect drink.
It's a cute little place in a shopping strip. Only one attendant the night we went so drinks were coming out slow. My 8 year old was able to win 4 plushies on her own. The machines weren't too hard to play.
I had a really great experience here! My friend and I came on a Tuesday during lunch and it was pretty slow. The ambiance is fun and bright, lots of neon colors and really interesting artwork. There were claw machines and games too. We came here because they offer fresh sugar cane drinks, so my friend ordered one of those drinks, while I choose the Hokkaido milk tea with boba. Both drinks were good. But what absolutely blew me away was their Dubai chocolate covered strawberries!!! I hadn't tried this viral sensation yet, and the price was right at this place, so I ordered it ($7!!!!!!) They were incredible and I understand the hype. But the price at Hi5 is unbeatable. I cannot WAIT to come back here for more Dubai strawberries and highly recommend others come try them out! read more

Came in this afternoon thinking it was Hi 5 Tea. OPEN sign wasn't lit up but door was unlocked so we continued inside. After taking a few minutes to review the menus we both made our decision and placed our order with the woman behind the counter. While or order was being made we wandered the store to check out all the nest things they had to offer. Games on tables, Claw drop games, a punching bag machine, and a rack full of numerous Ramen options. A few minutes later and our selections were complete. I choose a Slushy made from Strawberry, Banana, and ice for me. It's is quite good, but I wish it had a bit more strawberries since the banana flavor was more prominent and the strawberry almost not there. I got full before I had finished half of the drink. A nice desert following our sandwich from the biz across the way. My son also enjoyed his and commented that it was nice to have some fresh fruit in the mix. Lady explained they were open today for a test run. Needed to get a feel for the volume of business to decide if they would continue to be open on Mondays since this a new business. She said the place is no longer Hi 5 Tea. New business name is Fresh Sugarcane Boba & Juice Bar. Tasty drinks and good service. We'll be back, maybe even sit down and play one of the games set up on the tables. read more

Very good price for the size of drink you get! The boba was a little on the softer side for my taste but still pretty good texture. The drink itself was flavorful! Nice decor and there were games you could play and stay a while. read more

Let's give Hi 5 a high five! I'm a fan of this place. From their drinks to their popcorn chicken, everything is always good. They make a really good pad Thai and the fried rice is delicious too. As far as drinks go, I like the Hi 5 Coffee and their oolong tea with aloe vera. So yeah, Hi 5 is legit. If you ever want to bribe Joyce W. to run errands, the Hi 5 coffee is the way to go. I'm a huge fan of boba drinks and I'm so glad I tried Hi 5 Tea! I tried the Electric lychee drink and completely fell in love with it. The drink itself was beautifully crafted, coming with lychee and a lemon to top it off! The colors are gorgeous and the drink itself delights the taste buds. To top it all off, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They don't hesitate to provide any assistance or answer any questions. Andy was especially friendly and made our experience at Hi 5 Tea one to remember. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Next to a Hi5 Sushi and there's a Vietnamese Pho restaurant within the same shopping plaza. They have all kinds of entertainment while you're enjoying your drink! Arcade games, gotcha machines and cup noodle station! This is the perfect place for little boba date :) they ask about the level of sweetness in your drink and my matcha milk tea was amazing. read more
First time here. It actually came up as a hot spot on my snap map which is how I found this place. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee without the boba, but with the coffee jelly and egg foam. It was my first time having the coffee jelly, wasn't really a fan, but the coffee itself was delicious! They also have a sushi place next door that's the same owners so I'm gonna have to check that out next time. There's also some board games and some Nikes for sale in the back. read more
Socially distant Hi 5s all around for a new bubble tea shop in Chandler! To be honest I actually meant to go to a coffee shop but I turned into the Hi 5 plaza by mistake and figured it was kismet that led me to this locale (That and a notoriously bad sense of direction) so why not have bubble tea instead of coffee today? After browsing the menu I went with the oolong milk tea. Currently the 16 oz size is 4.95 and the 24 oz is 5.25 and it includes boba. Not a bad deal then. Too bad they didn't have any boba ready when I was here! That's always a major annoyance of mine. If you say you are going to be open at a certain time, your main ingredient for your items should already be made! Anyways the person at the counter offered to substitute with crystal boba instead which was fine. The drinks come in a sturdy, narrow looking cup with heat sealed lids. I enjoyed my oolong milk tea. It was refreshing, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The crystal boba was good, but I'd love to try the traditional boba next time assuming it's ready. With a variety of different flavors to choose from, if I'm in the area I'll definitely be back to try more off the menu (And to redeem the 10% check in offer I forgot to use)! read more
Q: What did the boba milk tea say when they started falling in love? A: "You make me feel all bubbly inside!" We came on the Grand Opening on August 28th expecting a wait and a wait is what I got! I spent $5.75 on 24oz. of Black Dragon Milk Tea, $5.75 on a 24 oz. of Hi 5 Coffee & Pudding, $14.95 on Hi 5 Fried Rice, $11.95 on Chicken Pad Thai, and $5.95 on Vietnamese Fire Corn. Everything tasted great. The Vietnamese Fire Corn wasn't what I expected though. I was thinking of a corn cheese situation and what I got a seafoody corn mix. I don't think I'll be getting that again. And when PF Changs charges $12 for fried rice yet Hi 5 charges $15, I want to sigh. I'm just being real, okay? The Pad Thai was pretty tasty and I enjoyed every bite. I also really enjoyed the Hi 5 Coffee & Pudding. I would love to try their pho while dining in when the hype dies down a little and the popcorn chicken Nikki M. posted looks delish! All in all, I enjoyed my time at Hi 5. This place was great! I'm usually skeptical of boba places that also sell food, since I worry that the quality of the food might be lesser because they focus more on drinks, or vice versa. I'm happy to say that it didn't seem like the case here - both the food and drinks were so tasty!! I came here with my partner an hour before closing, and we were pleasantly surprised to hear that the kitchen was still open so late. It was basically a full house inside! We scanned the QR code to view the menu and found a place to sit. Drinks (5/5): We ordered a taro coconut milk tea and a coconut milk tea. Both tasted great! I really want to know what their black tea blend is here because it was SO good. My favorite was the coconut milk tea - not sure how to describe the flavor, but it wasn't too sweet and had subtle notes of caramel or toffee? (I could use some help with my tasting vocabulary lol.) The taro coconut milk tea also tasted great - it also wasn't too sweet, and the taro favor came through and tied well with the subtle hint of coconut. Unfortunately, there was no more boba (but understandable because we were there shortly before closing). Food (4/5): We ordered the Pad Thai and Popcorn Chicken. The pad thai was a HUGE portion, definitely fit for sharing with another person! It tasted a little different from pad thai dishes I've had in CA, but nonetheless, it had a sweet and tangy tamarind flavor that I liked. The dish felt very much like comfort food for me. The popcorn chicken had tasty seasoning and was fried to a perfectly crispy texture. My only wish was that they used bigger pieces of chicken. Ambiance (5/5): The vibe of this place transported me back to the boba shops in Garden Grove, CA (which is Little Saigon in Orange County), and I loved it!! This place seemed like the perfect place to hang out with friends. There were cool murals on both sides of the restaurant. This also seemed like a family owned business, as it seemed like the store owners (I assume) shared a meal with their baristas at the end of the shift. We came here twice during soft opening week. Decor is very cute and welcoming. Staff was nice but a little unorganized. But given it was opening week, I could understand. Food was fast but drinks took a long time. They also didn't have everything on the menu. The first time we ordered a black boba tea, dragonfruit storm, and popcorn chicken. The black boba tea was good but it was definitely not worth it for the price. There was too much ice and after just a few sips it was gone. The dragonfruit storm was delicious and creamy but because it is pretty sweet, a large was too much for me to finish. The popcorn chicken was very dry and flavorless but the dipping sauce made it better. Second time around we ordered hi5 coffee with pudding, brown sugar milk tea, pad Thai, and popcorn chicken again. The coffee was very good and the pudding made it extra special. The brown sugar tea was a little sweet at the beginning but got better as the ice melted. The pad Thai was too sweet for my liking but my husband enjoyed it. The popcorn chicken this time around was a little different. It was crispier and also came with spice powder on top which gave it more flavor. Overall, we like it here for their specialty drinks and food choices. Love that there are a lot of variety to choose from. read more

They have a do it yourself noodle bar, which is very affordable! The drinks are really good. My favorite is definitely the Hawaiian fruit tea. The claw machines keep my kids entertained for a long time and you actually win prizes. It's like a one stop shop for the family. Get your affordable noodles, boba and stuffed animals! read more
We came to check out their grand opening. The parking lot was small but we still found parking and this place was packed. It took a while for us to order our drinks. We ordered the Classic Milk Tea ($5) with boba ($0.75) and a Green Milk Tea ($5.75) with boba ($0.75). We waited a while before they brought our drinks out to where we were sitting. The Classic Milk Tea with boba was good and Green Milk Tea with boba was also good. The flavor was there and the boba was chewy. Good place for some milk tea in the area. read more

My boyfriend and i walked in an hour before closing, staff was friendly, and I think they just moved to the next building over. I got the rose oolong lychee tea and I replaced the lychee jelly with boba. They gave us 20% off for soft opening, which was a nice surprise since we just wanted to try a new boba spot nearby and this one came up on yelp. They also had a cool sneaker wall on display. Minus one star just because it honestly wasn't anything special and the boba wasn't that great. Would come again. read more

This place is so fun, I love the decors and the claw machines! The plushies are worth it, there's Disney, Sanrio and freaking ninja teddy bears with a bowl of rice lol. The food is pretty amazing, the drinks are tasty and the prices are not bad! read more

Ambiance- Excellent Customer Service- Amazing Drinks- out of this world We walked in and the owner I believe greeted us. He explained some of the drinks my for my daughter since she isn't into boba as much. They have a variety of boba drinks and are very unique. The brown sugar milk tea is bomb.com!! I was sooo amazed in the first sip. It's super flavorful but not too sweet, unlike some boba drinks. The Taro coconut milk tea was definitely a winner too. The drinks aren't watered down like other boba drinks at other shops. They do it the right way here. We will definitely be making a routine stop here every weekend! read more

Such a fun concept! Boba tea, snacks, and plushies. I got a mango passion fruit tea that was tasty. The store itself is spacious and clean. The plushies in the claw machines are so cute- we wanted all of them! The best part was the service. The workers were so friendly and made our experience enjoyable! read more
