Sadly, we don't have Hey Tea in Sacramento, yet! We made sure it is on the itinerary for our 3-day weekend trip in SF. We came here twice! Parking is very difficult, especially on Friday but worth the trouble of parking further and walk over. Every time I tell myself that I will get something else. I end up getting my love - Coconut Mango Boom. Especially when Mango is in season right now! It's such a refreshing, light and delicious drink. I'm mildly lactose and my stomach is totally happy and in agreement with coconut milk. I also had a sip of my friend's matcha latte. It was very smooth and not water down matcha like other places. Download the app and order in advance. There is only one kiosk in the store and this location is super busy and popular.
This location is located next to the Moscone Center, which was very convenient during a work conference at the Moscone Center. I got drinks in the afternoon as a pick me up and ordered via the app. The wait times were not too bad and worth it!
My family thinks I go to every tea/boba shops in the City. I mean, they are not completely correct but they are not wrong either. I TRY! I love exploring different shops across the City and tea/coffee/boba shops are some of the best to explore due to versatility in style and price. Some of them I get delivered because it's just easier for my schedule. Recently tried their grape slushie drink and found it refreshing. I also like their fun cup designs. Will return to try other drinks. Located on 4th street between Mission and Howard.
Delicious King jasmine guava tea with boba ($8ish). Quality fruit flavor. Not too sweet. However, it took over 20 minutes for my drink after I ordered at the kiosk. I think the secret is to order via the app or online ahead of time. Service did not seem to handle disgruntled customers--I'm going to be honest, I was not the only one! People were disappointed by how long it took (it was very busy.) Seating is very minimal because of its prime location across from Moscone and next to the Metreon. Please do not drive here. Take BART or Muni or walk or bike. Parking would be very difficult.
Not terrible but not great. Felt like it was a pretty limited menu and there were a number of things that they were sold out of when I went. Dropped by on a late afternoon mid-week. There was a conference happening nearby so the shop was pretty packed. There are two tablets to order from or you can order at the counter (if someone is available to help you). I really dislike the boba shops that rely mostly on tablet ordering because if you're not familiar with their menu and stop by on a whim, like I did, you feel pressured to rush through the menu so you're not holding up the line. About halfway through scrolling the menu, I was bored with the vast majority of the options and a couple of the drinks I wanted were sold out. The only other one that sounded genuinely appealing and interesting was the pistachio cloud jasmine, which they at least had in stock. Despite the large crowd standing around waiting, my drink came in less than ten minutes. It had a good nutty flavor and was the perfect amount of sweetness, nothing cloying. But you had to mix the pistachio foam into the drink if you wanted it to permeate the entire thing, otherwise it was just sitting on top and the drink didn't have any other pistachio flavoring. It was a good drink, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find a Heytea to order it again. No problems with this particular location, the staff were friendly and the drink was made well, I'm just not impressed by Heytea generally speaking and don't really have much desire to return or to seek out other locations.
Nice tea shop. Loved that the guava green grape was not overly sweet. Incredibly packed with convention attendees but a nice break from the day's sessions. Convenient location. Qualified staff. Efficient processes. Allow your tea makers some time and you will be delighted with your drink!
One of my favorite tea spots, that doesn't necessarily have Boba but it can be considered a boba/milk tea spot. This location is right outside of the metreon, the entrance is outside and it can be busy! You can download the app and order before pick up, they have a self serve kiosk and people also taking orders. It's always so busy and such a flow at any heytea I go to, the workers are always so hard working and make hundreds of drinks. I did an order for my friends, I personally like the mango grapefruit bloom, it feels like a drink you'd get on vacation! My friends got coconut mango bloom, cloud bloom (cloud is the cheese topping), pistachio cloud coconut, triple supreme matcha latte. I'd like to try some of their other drinks in the future! There's no street parking but there's a parking garage across the street.
Wholy Moley! Where have you been my whole life? This drink was the bomb Coconut Mango Blue has my heart (mango, coconut milk + jelly, sago, jasmine tea and spirulina to make it BLUE! I'm addicted! Service was fast considering how many drinks they are making per hour (looked like alot). Clean storefront and you order from the kiosk.
I love heytea!! Their mango coconut boom is so good! Tip is to order through the app 15 mins before since they tend to have a long queue. There's also coupons on the app to save $$. It's a grab and go but the interior is usually pretty clean, and super efficient.
Heard about HeyTea at a Yelp event this past weekend. Perfect timing because kids asked for it on our day out in the city. Super long wait, couldn't order online. But well worth it. The guava white grape was delicious, light and refreshing, great combination. Girls had the mango coconut which was yummy as well. Worth the wait!!
Solid heytea chain The taste is consistent to other chains You order on a kiosk and your number is called out. Got my regular triple Matcha latte and it was great! Quick grab and go service. There's about four seats total inside. So not really a sit down drink shop, despite the store being pretty big.
We love treating ourselves to Heytea as a little treat to break up the workday! The FiDi location is clean, bright and modern. Best of all, everything runs pretty smoothly even with a crowd. Pro tip: order ahead via their app :) I loooove their Triple Supreme Matcha Latte! Not too sweet, ft. a creamy & salty foam atop high-caff matcha... such a perfect combo! It strikes the perfect balance - pleasantly earthy, satisfying and refreshing. Highly recommend if you like matcha that actually tastes like matcha! All in all, this is def one of the better matcha drinks I've had around here and a place we'll keep in rotation :)
Be prepared for long wait times especially during weekends, but I understand the hype! The Coconut Mango Boom is truly sublime... so refreshing; great textures with the sago, fresh mango chunks, and coconut jelly; and the flavor is rich without being too sweet or artificial. Might be one of my favorite boba shop menu items of all time? oop I've also tried their Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea--the boba is so soft and delectable, definitely on the sweeter side compared to their other drinks but the cheese cream/foam balances it out well. Visited on a busy Friday afternoon and waited upward of 30-40 minutes. Ordering was quick on the kiosk, but I wish I ordered ahead to save more time! I recommend downloading the app for discounts, but more importantly, for the QR code feature to track how many more drinks are ahead of you/the estimated wait time that updates in real time. It's a small grab-and-go space, so that feature allowed me to kill time at YBG/Metreon without worrying about constantly checking if my drink is ready. Overall, wholeheartedly recommend for high quality drinks and it's definitely worth the wait if you have the time!
Reviews are largely positive. People highlight the fresh, flavorful drinks, creative fruit teas, soft, chewy boba, and a modern, clean space.

I had a great experience here! The staff were super helpful and efficient. There were many orders ahead of me but the wait wasn't bad at all. I was there for less than 10 minutes total and there's a nice seating area to wait at :) The space is clean and modern and the whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. I got the jasmine matcha drink and I recommend it. I liked how it was light and refreshing with strong matcha flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try more! read more
I got my teas less sweet which prolly affected the taste. I would suggest to get the drinks as is to get the full flavor. Overall the teas are really good and the boba balls was prolly the best I've had in a while. Line wasn't too bad and wait time was around 5 min. The place is good but didn't wow me. Worth a try if you're in the area. read more
I'm SO happy that Heytea is now in the city. Their drinks are so reliably good, and I feel like I'm not able to satisfy my craving at just any regular boba store when I crave Heytea. My favorite drink is the Coconut Mango Boom. It's definitely more of a dessert drink, but all of the different elements complement each other so well and taste delicious together. I can't comment on their tea since I've still yet to try them, but I've heard good things about them. The only issue is that the wait is kind of long. There has always been a line during the times I've gone, and I usually end up waiting 20 minutes to get my order. However, definitely check this place out! read more

I had this when I visited Shanghai and I'm so happy they opened in the bay. I do fear that the more the open the quality is gonna suck like what happens to most places... but I hope it doesn't happen here. This place is so good and just like the one in China. My usual order is the coconut mango boom, mango grapefruit boom, cloud crisp grape boom. The mango booms are like your typical mango sago drinks, dairy free, and not too sweet. The crisp grape is good for those who love grapes! I have a hard time choosing between the two. I've also tried the cloud mulberry strawberry & the supreme brown sugar milk tea, which I wasn't much of a fan... :/ Located by the metreon! Lots of places to eat around and grab a drink for dessert :P I wouldn't suggest parking here, but if you had to there's a paid garage across the metreon. read more
New bubble tea shop on the block. Came here not too long after they first opened. There's a lot of people working there compared to other boba places so drinks came out fairly quickly. Ordered on the app and it said 27 people ahead of me and it'll be about 10 minutes or so before my order is ready. By the time I walked from Union square to HEYTEA. My drink was there waiting for me. The best drink I keep hearing people enjoy and the one I ordered was the Coconut Mango Boom. That was so good I finished it before I even got home. The inside of the shop is fairy small so drinks are for take out but you can last enjoy it around Metreon and Yerba Buena Gardens area. 10/10 would visit again. read more

30min wait time..and non stop customers coming in. This place is insane. No seating either. Hope the workers here are happy. They make such good drinks, so tasty and accurate. read more
I have passed by this place multiple times and was always curious about their drinks! I finally gathered the courage to give it a try. There was a small line at the counter and a decent crowd waiting for their drinks. Inside, there were just a couple of small tables with a few chairs, so it was more of a grab-and-go kind of spot. I tried their Mango Grapefruit Boom and was pleasantly surprised. It is a sweet, creamy, fruity, mango sago-inspired drink. The small grapefruit chunks made this drink refreshing! The only downside of my visit was that I found it a little bit difficult to order as someone who does not visit tea drink places very often. There was a flyer at the counter with recommendations for the first-timers, which was really helpful. However, I did not see any descriptions of the drinks listed there (or maybe I just missed them), making it a little difficult to imagine what kind of drink each one was. One sentence, or even a couple of words of description, would have been incredibly helpful for first-timers like myself! I will definitely be coming back to try more drinks! read more
I came here because of tiktok would 100% recommend the triple matcha if you're a die hard fan (otherwise it may be a bit overwhelming). I really liked the matcha jelly pudding inside. My latte was the tiniest bit grainy but otherwise super solid and the portions here are huge read more
I discovered Heytea during my visit to SF and I have to be honest, my matcha was regular. I enjoyed the warm fresh Boba added. However, it was not worth the 25 minutes wait. It was HOT inside and it was too loud with all the traffic here. I had the Coconut matcha bobo read more
Next to the grand entrance of the Metreon is HeyTea! Coming here in the evening was way better than getting in a huge line with the younger generation of bubble tea lovers who couldn't wait to try out high-quality tea flavors in a whole new perspective. Its interior space was just as good as the customer service where many staff members were working hand-in-hand to make good bubble teas. Since my brother likes sweet slurpees and boba milk teas, Coconut Mango Boom was his best choice. If he were to choose a lukewarm drink, then Crisp Grape Boom is much better choice. Not all drinks have to be cold enough to hit the spot. That's why few bubble tea shops like HeyTea can also provide hot drinks during cold days. HeyTea will now be a better choice if you're shopping everywhere in Metreon. Whether you're in Jiangbianli of China or SoMa of SF, you ought to try high quality tea flavors that's worth a Boom Shaka-laka for your tea-rific treat. read more
Had heytea a few times before and was so excited one was opening in SF! Loved that there was mobile order but be wary that they sometimes close the mobile ordering option if it gets too busy! Love the cloud crisp grape boom and the mango drink too, but we recently also tried the matcha cloud jasmine latte during a 1-1 promotion and it was great too! read more

Been here a couple of times now, and the tea is great. The first time I ordered at the store and the most recent visit I ordered ahead on the app. The ordering process is easy, and I have to say that the to go packaging works really well. They put cup holders in the bags and also a spill proof covering for the hot drinks. The cups are designed well too. Some have a cool turn top so you can sip a drink with a topping and also drink it using a straw. As for the drinks themselves, most are good with less sugar. I especially liked the Hot Jasmine Latte and the Supreme Matcha Latte. They were creamy and had just the right amount of texture. I don't know if I'll be back that often though. The reason being that the staff were never friendly. They seem to hate being there, in the cramped space behind the counter. And there's a lot of them there too. Not one of them with a smile on their face. read more
I wasn't expecting much as I was reading the descriptions of all the drinks and seeing them on social media, but I was so surprised. - Mango Coconut Boom - Jasmine Matcha Latte - Strawberry Boom I don't really gravitate towards coconut and wasn't expecting to like the drink at all, but it was so light and refreshing with a hint of coconut and sweet mango! The Jasmine matcha was so interesting, I love matcha everywhere but this one had jasmine jelly and subtle notes of the tea to go with the quality matcha. Strawberry boom was still great especially if you're not interested in the coconut or grapefruit/grape flavors. It's really crowded inside though and probably a 20 - 30 minute wait including the line to order + the wait for the drinks. But the staff were so nice, they checked what number I was because I had been waiting for a while which saved us probably an extra 5 minutes when another customer thought our order was her's. read more

So excited to have a Heytea in the city! Came here on a Saturday at 6:30 PM and there was no line. There's not really sweating inside but plenty of people were hanging around and just standing and talking after getting their drinks. There were a lot of employees working behind the tiny counter, which was surprising. The cashier was good at answering my friend's questions about drinks. Or drinks came out in about 5 minutes. I got the Crisp Grape Boom, which was great! I never see grape-flavored drinks, and this was so clearly made from fresh fruit due to its clear, sweet notes. I loved the cut up grapes at the bottom -- they remained crunchy and provided great texture! I was also able to get their zero calorie sweetener in my drink, and I didn't miss the sugar at all! I couldn't adjust the level of sweetness when I chose it, though. Overall, loved this place and their fruit teas, and I will definitely be back to try their matcha drinks too! read more

Came right before opening at 11AM and there was a short line. Line moved extremely fast and while waiting in line, was already handed a menu from staff. Super efficient. Ordered and drinks were ready pretty fast. There's a screen on the left side where it shows your order number and if it's being prepared or ready for pickup. They don't call out numbers so you just have to check the screen. Ended up ordering the 1) mango cloud - super fresh mango chunks 2) mango grapefruit sago - my friend loved it and 3) milk tea boba Overall, really good! Can't wait to go back and try the mango sago drink Ambiance - very clean, no seating though read more

I heard about this drink from a co worker. After trying it, it's my favorite!! Coconut, mango, sago with blue spirulina. It's a tropical explosion in my mouth!! read more
HEYTEA is a new addition to the downtown SF milk tea scene. They pride themselves on using all-natural ingredients: No artificial colors, creamers, flavors, and sweeteners. Real tea leaves are used and they were on display in-store. Whenever I see mango pomelo sago on the menu, I have to order it so I went with the Mango Grapefruit Boom ($7.49). There were no options for less sweetness or less ice, so I asked the cashier and she told me that Less Sugar and Light Ice are available. +Refreshing and the perfect sweetness +Plenty of ripe mango pieces +Pomelo pieces were plump and not too tart. +Sago was cooked well: No hard pieces. +Cup & straw were durable. -Pudding chunks (coconut?) were bland. -There was an aftertaste that I couldn't put my finger on...Not sure if it was the cup or the drink itself, but it wasn't pleasant. Side notes: 1.) Limited indoor seating: I saw 4 chairs. The Metreon has indoor seating and Yerba Buena Gardens has outdoor seating. 2.) Located on the outside of the Metreon across from Moscone Center *Verdict: 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 d/t service. Considering they're brand new, the wait wasn't too bad: From waiting in line to receiving my drink, it took ~15 minutes. I also loved how employees personally handed customers drinks, straws, and paper bags if needed, which felt warmer than other boba shops. They have such a unique menu, so I want to return to try their other drinks. read more

My family really loved this cozy Boba Tea place in SOMA close to the Metreon Center. We were looking for non caffeinated options and there was just one on the menu but our server was very kind to customize one with Mango and Grapefruit that my daughter wanted. The first sip, I wasn't too impressed but once we mixed it up nicely, we couldn't stop sipping! The ingredients tasted fresh and natural - and it tasted light and breezy. This one's definitely on our list now next time we're in the neighborhood and crave Boba Tea. read more

MID AF. Crazy how I waited for 50 mins for the matcha drink. I recommend ordering through the app ahead of time. I thought that the matcha was subtle, but I did like the matcha jelly though. Maybe I'll try the fruits drinks instead next time since that's what they're known for. read more
This spot is so close to my place, it's hard to resist. I have tried their Supreme Brown Sugar Boba milk tea before; the boba was soft, chewy, and sweet, and the milk tea itself was great as well. This time, I ordered the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte; it came with matcha cloud on top, milk, and Jasmine green tea. I customized it with no ice and less sugar, and it tasted amazing. Highly recommended! read more

I've had Heytea several times recently and they all have been solid experiences. My latest trip, I went with the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk. The hype has died down so you can get served quite quickly, and I think that also helps the flavor. The boba is soft, chewy, and sweet and milk tea is great as well. That being said, the price does seem to keep growing higher and higher, one cup was $8 read more
First time at Heytea! Their Coconut Mango Boom is really good - I loved the flavor combo. The mango puree/pieces were a bit stringy, but not sure if that's a common trend for all their mango drinks or I was just unlucky and they just used a particularly stringy mango for mine. The sago and coconut pudding was SO good though! I would get it again! Fast service, only had to wait a couple minutes. It was moderately busy at this time (2:30pm on a Thursday, but it was a holiday). Love how you can walk to Yerba Buena from here - it was so nice to enjoy our drinks out in the sun! read more

This is where you can find the popular double matcha in the Bay! As soon as I walked in, all I could smell was fresh tea (especially jasmine which is my fave). Their version of a double matcha is called the Supreme matcha, which is a matcha latte topped with creamy matcha cheese foam. I didn't realize it until later but it also had matcha jelly at the bottom. Staff is super nice but it can get bit loud inside since the place is a bit small but echo-y. read more
