Be prepared for long wait times especially during weekends, but I understand the hype! The Coconut Mango Boom is truly sublime... so refreshing; great textures with the sago, fresh mango chunks, and coconut jelly; and the flavor is rich without being too sweet or artificial. Might be one of my favorite boba shop menu items of all time? oop I've also tried their Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea--the boba is so soft and delectable, definitely on the sweeter side compared to their other drinks but the cheese cream/foam balances it out well. Visited on a busy Friday afternoon and waited upward of 30-40 minutes. Ordering was quick on the kiosk, but I wish I ordered ahead to save more time! I recommend downloading the app for discounts, but more importantly, for the QR code feature to track how many more drinks are ahead of you/the estimated wait time that updates in real time. It's a small grab-and-go space, so that feature allowed me to kill time at YBG/Metreon without worrying about constantly checking if my drink is ready. Overall, wholeheartedly recommend for high quality drinks and it's definitely worth the wait if you have the time!
Hey Tea is my most favorite boba spot in Bay no doubt. I could not find a drink that I hate here Today I tried their new seasonal drink - pistachio cloud jasmine coconut and I really like it. It tastes super fresh, light and not too sweet at all. Basically just coconut juice with a nutty creamy pistachio foam on top but it went really well together. You can even choose 0 cal sweetener to lower the calories intake, which I did, so I didn't feel guilty at all drinking the whole thing! It wasn't busy when I went, maybe I got lucky, but I got my drink in like 5 mins after ordering. But if you want to save time, you can download the Hey Tea app and order ahead, really convenient if you don't wanna wait. I don't have enough phone storage for it but I would do that if I can
We love treating ourselves to Heytea as a little treat to break up the workday! The FiDi location is clean, bright and modern. Best of all, everything runs pretty smoothly even with a crowd. Pro tip: order ahead via their app :) I loooove their Triple Supreme Matcha Latte! Not too sweet, ft. a creamy & salty foam atop high-caff matcha... such a perfect combo! It strikes the perfect balance - pleasantly earthy, satisfying and refreshing. Highly recommend if you like matcha that actually tastes like matcha! All in all, this is def one of the better matcha drinks I've had around here and a place we'll keep in rotation :)
We were at the Museum of Modern Art and stopped at HeyTea for our milk tea fix. I ordered the King Jasmine Cloud and really Enjoyed the drink. There was a strong jasmine flavor so I was very happy with the quality of the tea. What I also love is that this location was busy but not super crowded. At other locations, we have to wait awhile to order. And then wait awhile to receive our order. However, here, we didnt have to wait forever to order or to receive our drink. I will definitely be returning to this location for drinks
The passionfruit blast was really good. The tea was bright and refreshing, and the boba was nice and chewy. This spot is always crowded so its worth placing your order online ahead of time! Not much space inside for seating, just a few chairs. But lots of space in the Yerba Buena gardens right nearby.
We stopped by here for a drink on a warm city day. They have self-ordering which was pretty quick, but we came in on a Saturday and waited about 20+ minutes for our drinks. It is a decent space to wait in without seating. I got the pistachio jasmine tea which wasn't too sweet and had a nice floral and nutty flavor to it. It was a bit pricy for the size but flavor was good.
When I saw there was a Heytea in town during my visit, I knew I had to try it before I left. I walked over and immediately got a little nervous when I saw how packed it was--I fully expected a long wait. I ordered at the kiosk and ended up waiting about 15 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how many people were inside. Totally worth it, too. I got the mango coconut sago drink and WOW. I would order this a million times. It was so freaking good--perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and you could actually taste the tea. Everything about it was amazing. If you're even remotely into tea drinks, this place is a must. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in town.
- Great tea drinks that can be more tea or fruit forward depending what you're looking for .. though also paired with generally long lines even when many of their drinks start at $8 pre tax/tip.; - Definitely you should go when they have BOGO pricing but you have to do pre-noon or they'll likely be sold out of the drinks or have run out of the ingredients - I feel sometimes hit or miss on their matcha if I go on different days. I don't know, maybe if it's just how it's being mixed in or the temperature so that's a bit confusing to me; so I'm not a big fan of the triple matcha drink. - In comparison I find the Crisp Grip and the Coconut Mango Boom are consistently good with no miscellaneous ice chunks and great flavor balance (though generally still on the sweeter side even with 0% sugar). - I like also they have a lot of different fusions of different teas where sometimes I feel their tea flavor is even better than Chicha San Chan which is definitely unexpected. - Recently I really like their Longjing /w Mochi which deifnitely gives more of a roasted buckwheat/nutty aroma and pairs great with the sticky mochi which somehow retains its flavor, stickiness, and slight sweetness even when in the drink. Definitely I would also suggest calling in your order ahead of time on the app, because sometimes it can take between 20 to 30 minutes. A drink, especially if on some days there'll be companies or large group orders where you'll have DoorDashers come in and try to get 30 orders, so you'll be behind them in line.
Located across the street from Moscone West. Parking can definitely be tricky in the area. We ordered ahead via the app, which made pickup process a breeze. There was no line and our order was already ready. Inside was clean, and bright. We order our two usual drinks: the Crisp Grape Boom and the Coconut Mango Boom. The drinks are consistently good. Overall, a solid spot with great drinks, and the convenience of ordering ahead makes it even better. Highly recommend!
THE BIG: Located in Downtown SF on the 4th street side of the Metreon. Simple and clean interior with the cute avatar drinking boba. Street/garage parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We were on our post dinner walk and saw that HeyTea was one of the spots still open before 8pm. Fortunately we made it in time. Menu isn't too expansive but all the items sounded great. I ended up going with the fluffy cloud mango and let me tell you. WOW. Best mango drink I've ever had. The blend of the jasmine green tea and the sweetest/ripest mangos along with the cheese cloud on top. I slurped that thing down super quick. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Spent around $10 for this one boba tea. Worth it? Definitely yes. Great tea and easy vibes. I'll be back to try more items on the menu.

The drinks are ridiculously good but our wait time was also stupid long. We ordered on the kiosk, but you can also order with the cashier. Maybe it's because it's the weekend, but we waited over 30 minutes for two drinks. They have a queue screen with the drinks but it was super inaccurate. I would suggest to order ahead for sure. That being said, I got the triple matcha and it was so delicious. I've never had matcha jelly, but I really enjoyed it! They have the option to replace it with boba. My boyfriend got the coconut mango boom and he was also very pleased with his drink and that the mango tasted really fresh. read more

The Coconut Mango Boom is my dream dessert drink. I fell in love at first sip. I've now been here twice, and instead of trying something new I got it again; it's THAT good. I get it with less ice and less sweet, and it's perfect. The creamy coconut, sweet mango, sago, and pudding are an amazing combination. Service is efficient, both times I've waited about 7 to 8 minutes for my drink with other orders ahead of me. There is minimal seating and when it's busy you don't want to stay in the small store anyway, but it's a short walk to sit inside Metreon to enjoy your drinks! It's probably a good thing that I don't live close enough to a HEYTEA, because I would go multiple times a week. But if they're thinking of adding more Bay Area locations, please bring HEYTEA to Walnut Creek! read more

Overhyped. Sago is good but rest of drink is filled with ice and filler stuff like pudding instead of what I want which is mango. Also what is with the awful stuffy smell at this store. Hard to associate fresh ingredient with a store that has such a weird suffocating smell. And wow 20 min wait for a mediocre drink. Not a fan read more

Hey T is one of my favorite Boba places in San Francisco. conveniently located right by the Metron AMC theater near Union Square so that's our little guilty pleasure when we go to the movies. Our go to is the coconut mango blue. It's literally a dessert in a Boba form. Some of their other slushy's are really good as well. We normally get 30% sugar, which is just right. There's always a long line so expect a bit of a away time although there are always a lot of workers. They are a very busy location. read more

In summary: Overall can't complain, but also wasn't blown away either. Definitely high quality drinks, perhaps the best in the fidi area of SF! I ordered both the triple supreme matcha drink and the coconut mango drink, and both were refreshing. I ordered the standard default sweetness, which is half sweet already. For the coconut mango boom - I just wish the mango had more flavor. I did really enjoy the sago/mochi/pudding that was in it though! Triple Supreme Matcha - delicious, but tasted more like a Single Regular Matcha. I was expecting it to be so strong, but instead it was on par with a standard Matcha Maiko or Maruwu drink. Not a bad thing - but perhaps oversold me on expectations Overall a solid option for the area. Service was quite slow, but I went on the day there was a big sale so I won't blame them for that. read more
This location is always quick! The drinks are consistent and there's never a problem with getting points. This location is well managed and the staff is knowledgeable. The inside has decent waiting room. There is one running kiosk. The staff is very friendly. I'll be back! read more

So happy there's a Heytea in the city!! I get the hype around this place - they have beautiful drinks and they taste just as great as they look. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and the busyness came in waves - when we ordered there wasn't a line, but afterwards we sat inside for a bit and there was a considerable line building up (there was also a convention going on so lots of people were coming from there). I highly recommend the cloud coconut drink, it's so pretty and the coconut is so refreshing! read more

Boom, it was gone instantly. Fresh, light, and refreshing. D r i n k Mango grapefruit boom ($7+): can barely taste the tea but the mango was fresh with chunks and worked well with the grapefruit bits. The sago and pudding made it a solid dessert in a cup. Appreciate the ice and sweetness level adjustments you can make. S e r v i c e Staff was courteous and helpful. A m b i a n c e You are greeted with floral scents and neutral aesthetics. Giant test tube decor to display their teas. Unfortunately, they do not have milk alternatives so a little bummed I couldn't try the milk tea or latte options. Overall, a solid boba spot at Metreon after a movie or some retail therapy. Definitely will return to try the other interesting flavors - mulberry boom, guava green grape, etc. (4/5) read more
Lots of Boba places popping up in San Francisco. HeyTea is a Boba Tea chain store which originated in China and was the first to introduce the first cheese tea. This location is located across the street of the Moscone Center West Hall on 4th street. There is always a line here when I passed by depending on the date and time. They offer Matcha tea and Boba tea along with shakes. I had to try the Cloud Mango and it was tasty. The place is a modern boba shop catering to the simplistic style and appeal. You can go order with a person or do the self serve kiosk. The self serve kiosk was easy to use and had different sections based on what you were looking for. A lot of the things on the menu I was allergic to so I had limited options but I was glad to know they had something that I could have. I got the supreme brown sugar boba. It was average just like anything other boba you can get somewhere else. The prices of all the drinks are all on the pricier side as well. read more
Came here twice and wanted to write a review on both visits. First visit was during their opening three days, bogo. The line wasn't too long and the queue time was short. I ordered the matcha cloud and it tasted kinda watery but the foam was good! I wanted to give it another chance so I visited again recently. Second visit I got the matcha smoothie and this time it was great. Strong matcha flavor and good boba texture. Will be coming back read more
My second time coming here. If im being honest I dont really like heytea just because I dont like coconut or matcha. But the brown sugar milk tea is pretty good and the boba is super warm and soft. Its always really busy in there so your order takes forever but the smell is amazing in there. Its more on the pricey side and you finish your drink pretty fast because its thicker. The place is cute itself but I probably wont be spending more money here. Theres only two seats available. read more
HeyTea was at peak hours Friday afternoon. I admire the full staff efficiency as we waited give or take 10 minutes even with a crowd inside. I really like the open lighting of the shop even though takeout is the way to go. Mulberry boom with jasmine tea was nice. Not sugary even at regular sweet. The tea taste wass not very apparent but the mulberry fruit bits were good. Not too icy either, I chose light ice. Definitely fresh and clean when it comes to drink quality, which is their concept. I upgraded from 500ml to 650ml for +$1 for a total of 8.49. My friends grape guava (green and purple grape) were quite good. The herbal tea note comes through with the guava fruitiness, but the guava isn't overpowering. I'd probably go for a grape drink next time since it was that combo of fruity/tea freshness I like. read more

Heyyyyyy....tea! The tea was definitely verbal AND herbal...I've been hearing great things about this boba spot opening up and have been wanting to try it out myself. There was a crowd when I walked in to order at the kiosk, but the amount would lessen over the span of 5-10 minutes max as people were grabbing their drinks and staff were preparing the orders (DoorDash and in-house). Lots of staff working behind the counter. The inside was airy and clean. Love the fresh smell of tea per usual. A few of my friends suggested the Coconut Mango Boom to me, but I was craving matcha. I got the Matcha Jasmine Tea with Brown Sugar Boba, which came with a matcha cloud foam. It was pretty strong matcha and super creamy, but I couldn't taste the Jasmine tea / base at all. The boba was warm when I got it, while still being a bit chewy and had lots of (sweet) flavor. I'd recommend lessening the sugar on this one if you add any toppings. I wish I just got the drink itself to be honest. I look forward to trying more of their drinks and get a better idea on the menu! I saw several people get the Red Blossom Milk Tea. It is very pricey though ($8-$9 with tax) for one drink. read more
As always, the store has a lovely aroma of tea. They were doing a BOGO promotional special for Wicked. The drinks were matcha with pink pomelo cream on top. I loved the little "Wicked" stenciling on the top. Service was quick and nice. The ambiance is very in-and-out boba shop. There isn't much seating, so plan to take your drinks to Yerba Buena instead. Ordering on the app is the way to go, they tell you the wait time and it's also easy to keep track of rewards that way. read more
I had a great experience here! The staff were super helpful and efficient. There were many orders ahead of me but the wait wasn't bad at all. I was there for less than 10 minutes total and there's a nice seating area to wait at :) The space is clean and modern and the whole experience felt smooth from start to finish. I got the jasmine matcha drink and I recommend it. I liked how it was light and refreshing with strong matcha flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try more! read more
I got my teas less sweet which prolly affected the taste. I would suggest to get the drinks as is to get the full flavor. Overall the teas are really good and the boba balls was prolly the best I've had in a while. Line wasn't too bad and wait time was around 5 min. The place is good but didn't wow me. I'm SO happy that Heytea is now in the city. Their drinks are so reliably good, and I feel like I'm not able to satisfy my craving at just any regular boba store when I crave Heytea. My favorite drink is the Coconut Mango Boom. It's definitely more of a dessert drink, but all of the different elements complement each other so well and taste delicious together. I can't comment on their tea since I've still yet to try them, but I've heard good things about them. The only issue is that the wait is kind of long. There has always been a line during the times I've gone, and I usually end up waiting 20 minutes to get my order. However, definitely check this place out! read more

I had this when I visited Shanghai and I'm so happy they opened in the bay. I do fear that the more the open the quality is gonna suck like what happens to most places... but I hope it doesn't happen here. This place is so good and just like the one in China. My usual order is the coconut mango boom, mango grapefruit boom, cloud crisp grape boom. The mango booms are like your typical mango sago drinks, dairy free, and not too sweet. The crisp grape is good for those who love grapes! I have a hard time choosing between the two. I've also tried the cloud mulberry strawberry & the supreme brown sugar milk tea, which I wasn't much of a fan... :/ Located by the metreon! Lots of places to eat around and grab a drink for dessert :P I wouldn't suggest parking here, but if you had to there's a paid garage across the metreon. read more
New bubble tea shop on the block. Came here not too long after they first opened. There's a lot of people working there compared to other boba places so drinks came out fairly quickly. Ordered on the app and it said 27 people ahead of me and it'll be about 10 minutes or so before my order is ready. By the time I walked from Union square to HEYTEA. My drink was there waiting for me. The best drink I keep hearing people enjoy and the one I ordered was the Coconut Mango Boom. That was so good I finished it before I even got home. The inside of the shop is fairy small so drinks are for take out but you can last enjoy it around Metreon and Yerba Buena Gardens area. 10/10 would visit again. read more
I have passed by this place multiple times and was always curious about their drinks! I finally gathered the courage to give it a try. There was a small line at the counter and a decent crowd waiting for their drinks. Inside, there were just a couple of small tables with a few chairs, so it was more of a grab-and-go kind of spot. I tried their Mango Grapefruit Boom and was pleasantly surprised. It is a sweet, creamy, fruity, mango sago-inspired drink. The small grapefruit chunks made this drink refreshing! The only downside of my visit was that I found it a little bit difficult to order as someone who does not visit tea drink places very often. There was a flyer at the counter with recommendations for the first-timers, which was really helpful. However, I did not see any descriptions of the drinks listed there (or maybe I just missed them), making it a little difficult to imagine what kind of drink each one was. One sentence, or even a couple of words of description, would have been incredibly helpful for first-timers like myself! I will definitely be coming back to try more drinks! read more

Next to the grand entrance of the Metreon is HeyTea! Coming here in the evening was way better than getting in a huge line with the younger generation of bubble tea lovers who couldn't wait to try out high-quality tea flavors in a whole new perspective. Its interior space was just as good as the customer service where many staff members were working hand-in-hand to make good bubble teas. Since my brother likes sweet slurpees and boba milk teas, Coconut Mango Boom was his best choice. If he were to choose a lukewarm drink, then Crisp Grape Boom is much better choice. Not all drinks have to be cold enough to hit the spot. That's why few bubble tea shops like HeyTea can also provide hot drinks during cold days. HeyTea will now be a better choice if you're shopping everywhere in Metreon. Whether you're in Jiangbianli of China or SoMa of SF, you ought to try high quality tea flavors that's worth a Boom Shaka-laka for your tea-rific treat. read more

Had heytea a few times before and was so excited one was opening in SF! Loved that there was mobile order but be wary that they sometimes close the mobile ordering option if it gets too busy! Love the cloud crisp grape boom and the mango drink too, but we recently also tried the matcha cloud jasmine latte during a 1-1 promotion and it was great too! read more

Been here a couple of times now, and the tea is great. The first time I ordered at the store and the most recent visit I ordered ahead on the app. The ordering process is easy, and I have to say that the to go packaging works really well. They put cup holders in the bags and also a spill proof covering for the hot drinks. The cups are designed well too. Some have a cool turn top so you can sip a drink with a topping and also drink it using a straw. As for the drinks themselves, most are good with less sugar. I especially liked the Hot Jasmine Latte and the Supreme Matcha Latte. They were creamy and had just the right amount of texture. I don't know if I'll be back that often though. The reason being that the staff were never friendly. They seem to hate being there, in the cramped space behind the counter. And there's a lot of them there too. Not one of them with a smile on their face. read more
I wasn't expecting much as I was reading the descriptions of all the drinks and seeing them on social media, but I was so surprised. - Mango Coconut Boom - Jasmine Matcha Latte - Strawberry Boom I don't really gravitate towards coconut and wasn't expecting to like the drink at all, but it was so light and refreshing with a hint of coconut and sweet mango! The Jasmine matcha was so interesting, I love matcha everywhere but this one had jasmine jelly and subtle notes of the tea to go with the quality matcha. Strawberry boom was still great especially if you're not interested in the coconut or grapefruit/grape flavors. It's really crowded inside though and probably a 20 - 30 minute wait including the line to order + the wait for the drinks. But the staff were so nice, they checked what number I was because I had been waiting for a while which saved us probably an extra 5 minutes when another customer thought our order was her's. read more

So excited to have a Heytea in the city! Came here on a Saturday at 6:30 PM and there was no line. There's not really sweating inside but plenty of people were hanging around and just standing and talking after getting their drinks. There were a lot of employees working behind the tiny counter, which was surprising. The cashier was good at answering my friend's questions about drinks. Or drinks came out in about 5 minutes. I got the Crisp Grape Boom, which was great! I never see grape-flavored drinks, and this was so clearly made from fresh fruit due to its clear, sweet notes. I loved the cut up grapes at the bottom -- they remained crunchy and provided great texture! I was also able to get their zero calorie sweetener in my drink, and I didn't miss the sugar at all! I couldn't adjust the level of sweetness when I chose it, though. Overall, loved this place and their fruit teas, and I will definitely be back to try their matcha drinks too! read more
