Out of all the cheese foams I've tried at HEYTEA, pistachio cloud might be my favorite. It's sweet and savory, smooth and nutty, and it enhances the floral note of their high quality king jasmine milk tea. And I just unlocked a secret hack: You can order the pistachio cloud (or any clouds!) separately, freeze it, and turn it into homemade pistachio ice cream. It tastes way better than store-bought pistachio ice cream (and cheaper!) This is my go-to HEYTEA location since it's close to my workplace. I've been wanting to visit any heytea location after hearing all the buzz and was around ktown so finally had a chance. The store is small, but ordering on the kiosk is efficient and doesn't take much time. There is an influx of online orders that I think keep the staff very busy. My friend got the mango bloom and it looked like a very aesthetically pleasing drink. I got the matcha cloud drink and it wasn't something I would get again. The matcha tasted very grassy to me and not my preference. I know they do boba well so I would still recommend trying one of their more famous drinks. read more

Stopped by Hey Tea while in the area and it was the best decision my friend and I made before hitting the subway. My milk tea with boba was just perfect. Best boba ever. There is supposedly a hype about HeyTea in New York, and I can see why. Their boba's are spectacular! I've never finished a large thing of boba on my own so fast, or daydreamed about it back at home from visiting. HeyTea is a busy boba place. What I love about them is that their worker waits for you in front of the line to take your order (not behind the counter). It almost feels more personal, and they are super friendly about helping you make your choice. When I thought about switching my drink (because one original boba had like 800 calories!), the worker explained I can get it without sugar and it'll still taste good for fraction of the calories. The place in someways feels like a lab crossed with a coffee shop, plus I saw two employees wearing what looked like lab coats, so I get that vibe. This was my first time at this Broadway location, near the Times Sq - 42 St station and Bryant Park. There was no seating inside, with just a small standing area for order pick-up. You can order at the counter, on their kiosk or online. At this location, the staff was not very friendly and did not seem to be interested in taking orders. I was ordering on the kiosk so it was ok, but they didn't give the best impression. The drink itself was delicious--I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($7.99+), with less ice and less sugar, which was still pretty sweet. Based on the service, this wouldn't the first location I'd choose for HeyTea, but if you're just picking up your order and don't care about the service, maybe it's ok. read more

This line is never as long as the one near Herald Square, thankfully! The drinks are just as good though. Coconut mango boom I would not recommend getting below 70% btw! Came here post dinner and was able to get our drink within 5 minutes of ordering it which was great! We ordered the Brown Sugar Boba Oat Milk and it was delicious! First of all, I was a bit thrown off by the fact that the drink didn't automatically come with oat milk as it was literally in the name. Usually, I don't see too much of a difference between the boba tea shops I visit. Some places may be more gimmicky or use more expensive "fresh" ingredients, but the taste is more or less the same. HeyTea uses simple quality ingredients to achieve a drink that is very simple in concept, but tastes much better than others. Not relying on gimmicks but rather great fundamentals, HeyTea achieves a drink that doesn't overpower and allows you to enjoy the drink for what it is. First time in time square on a Friday night and what do we crave? Boba tea! We find Hey tea and see it is literally popping in there. At least 60-80 people there both inside and outside enjoying the night scene. We downloaded the app and ordered online, we were like order #57 we literally went to the juice shop next door and did some shopping before going to check on the status of our order. When you enter the smell of fresh tea hits you like a jasmine hug of delicious fragrance. They have soo many boba tea baristas, it looks like those little games where you have to serve as many customers and quickly. It was so fun to watch how hectic and organized it all was.
