    Coconut Mango Boom

Stopped by heytea on a Sunday afternoon, and it was so busy! They even paused mobile ordering because they were so backed up with orders. Stood in line and waited to order instead. Ordered and paid at the counter and got a coconut mango boom, then waited outside because the shop was just too crowded. They have a screen showing which order numbers are ready, so you know when to pick up the drink. Mango drink was pretty good, had fresh mango purée and mango chunks, so it tasted like a fruit smoothie.

Big fan of HeyTea and their wide selection of toppings. The drinks are consistently good and there are lots of options to customize. Customer service at this location was mediocre, during our visit we encountered an employee who kept talking to someone else while taking our order, so I had to repeat myself a few times which was a bit frustrating. The shop itself is really small, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot rather than somewhere to sit and hang out. Overall still a good place if you're looking for a quick drink.

Loved the combo of pistachio salt foam with coconut juice and jasmine tea. They used premium jasmine tea. Service was quick. There's only standing room. Make sure to validate your Bravern parking for 6 hours.

The line up and wait can get long if you go during peak hours. I went mid afternoon on a Friday and was able to order right away. My coconut mango boom drink was filling and well made. I wish they offered a milk alternative option so those of us who are lactose intolerant have more options.

    - delicious, but service could be improved - I was in the area and had a 10% birthday coupon, so I placed an order through the app. It was ready within 10 minutes, which was great. However, the drink wasn't packed, and the employee asked whether I needed a bag in a very casual--almost rude--tone. I said, "No, I'm good," and took the drinks, but I felt uncomfortable. It was a noticeable contrast compared to the great service at other boba places like Chi Cha San Chen or MACU, where drinks are already properly packed for you. I ordered the Coconut Mango Blue, and I got the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Tea for my husband since the original version was no longer available. My drink was actually delicious--I finished it within 5-10 minutes. My husband, however, said the milk tea wasn't as good as the original. I took a sip and mainly remember that the drink itself wasn't very good, though the boba was surprisingly soft and chewy. I'm not sure how those two qualities can coexist, but they somehow did, lol. After the 10% discount, the total came to $14.85. This place is definitely not cheap by Bellevue standards. I'd probably order from somewhere else next time for better service and overall drink quality.

Is it just me, or is HeyTea kind of... average? I tried the Mango Coconut Boom and it was pretty underwhelming. The mango didn't taste ripe and honestly felt like it might've been frozen, which really dulled the flavor. For the price, I expected much better quality. The space is also very cramped with long wait times, no real place to sit, and prices that don't match the experience. Overall it felt more hype than substance. Hui Lau Shan does mango drinks and desserts way better. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Good tea but expect a long line and wait. The store is small but has some special drinks. The triple matcha was really good, and I liked the cream foam and pistachio flavors too. Solid overall, but a little FOMO vibe for me.

Heytea is super trendy in New York and I was excited to try it here in Bellevue. Located in The Bravern, you can park in their lot and Heytea will validate your ticket for six hours. The shop is small and is mainly a counter to order and receive your drink. Also the guy taking our order seemed like he hated his job, but he wasn't rude, just very unenthusiastic. On their menu, drinks with "cloud" have cheese foam, and drinks with "boom" are slushy. I got the cloud green grape drink and added boba. Wow! this drink was so good. It had cheese foam and it was a slush. There were pieces of green grape as well. The grape flavor was very pronounced and natural, it didn't taste artificial at all. The boba was chewy and sweet which I enjoyed. My friends got the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea. This is where my review only get 4 stars instead of 5. The drink had a very light tea flavor and a strange after taste. It was hard to describe but I would stay away from their milk teas. Overall their fruit tea is where they shine and I am excited for my next trip to Seattle to try the other drinks.

I love love heytea the quality and flavors of their drinks are so good. You can tell in general there is a lot of thought and effort that goes into it, from the packaging of the cup to the actual ingredients that go in it. It is always busy in store so I would recommend ordering store pick-up for a quick trip. I wouldn't expect much service because it's always busy but if you go during the week during hours where everyone's working it'll probably be fine . The bellevue location doesn't have any seats available in-store but there is a letao right across or places to sit outside around.

It's a bit overhyped but the drinks are not bad. I actually would come Back again for the kale juice. It's smooth and refreshing and I like the chia seeds! The cup it comes in I wish it would be a glass vessel. It's plastic but still super cute. Overpriced for $9 though.

I ordered on the app and waited inside. There is no seating and no bathroom. There was not a lot of space to wait either. It was very busy and crowded and took about 20 minutes to get my drink. Definitely only take out location, drinking inside is not ideal.

Surprised I haven't left a review here. I'm definitely a converted HEYTEA fan. I'm typically the guy who calls things good but overhyped however I will be hyping HEYTEA up. As they expand across the states, they've stayed very consistent and I know exactly what I'm getting anywhere. Compared to some of the "modern" tea shops and brands with insane lines, I think wait time here is more justified. Pro tip is to order on the app, they have fairly accurate, real-time monitoring for time estimates and number of drinks ahead. While I originally knew them for fruit teas and cheese foam, I've grown to love their matcha as well. Particularly the triple supreme matcha with matcha mochi. High quality all around. I currently frequent the SLU location because it's more accessible and convenient but will give props here for being the first location in Washington.

Heytea locates on the second floor of Bravern, opposite LeTAO. Parking is free with validation in Bravern parking garage. The store is a bit small so you will need to step outside on crowded days. There is no table in the store at all, just space for you to wait for your order. One good thing about Heytea is that they add new/seasonal drinks quite often and still keep some signature options in the menu. My favorite is the pure green tea with matcha cream and for my partner is the mango coconut boom. Their boba is okay but they usually stick to each other which is really annoying. The jelly is very unique because they are bigger and softer than other places. The cup size is a bit small so it always feels unsatisfactory after finishing the drink, and they only have one size. In overall, Heytea is a decent boba place with a good variety of options. I would still recommend it if you are in Bellevue and want to try something new. One final note is to download their app and check for occasional BOGO promotions.

This was my first time at Emerald City Smoothie in ten years and my first time at the Downtown Bellevue location. The interior is fairly small with only a few tables to sit/stand at and so it's mostly a takeout place rather than a place to meet with friends. Emerald City Smoothie has a wide menu and categorize their menu into five categories based on health goals: "Boost My Immune System", "Help Me Lose Weight", "Go Green", "Bulk Me Up" and "Nourish My Body". They also have a menu just for "Boosters" which cost extra and include everything from antioxidants to bees pollen to creatine and fat burner. Lastly, they have a Secret Menu which includes Banana Creme Pie, Matcha Green Tea, Maui Paradise, Mountain Berry Blast, Orange Creamsicle, Piña Colada, and Peanut Butter Cup. I'm pretty sure their secret menu is just drinks that don't fit into the other categories (or ran out of room for), because they had these same drinks on their menu ten years ago. I ordered the MATCHA GREEN TEA (16-oz) off the secret menu. This smoothie has soy milk, matcha, non-fat milk, and whey. For $7.44 (including tax), this was pretty pricey for a "healthified" matcha Frappucinno. They obviously don't use high quality matcha as the matcha color was on the yellow side and the taste was quite diluted and bland. It mostly just tasted like sugary blended milk with little to no matcha flavor; I was honestly disappointed, but drank it anyway. My friend got her favorite NUTTY BANANA (sub vegan protein) which has banana, peanut butter, protein, and nonfat milk, which is probably what I should've gotten instead. She also ordered a PB&J and MANGO MANIA for her family members which are also supposed to be decent. Lesson learned, stick with the fruit smoothies. Service was good- the baristas are friendly and efficient and we got our drinks within 10 minutes after ordering. Overall: 2/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

There are 3 cafes I go to on the regular for my hojicha fix: Magic Matcha, Tendon Kohaku, and Bobae in Kirkland. While I enjoy all three, Magic Matcha is my favorite. The roasted tea flavor is strong, they allow me to adjust the sweetness level, and the flavor of the drink is always consistent. I've had issues with Tendon and Bobae either changing up the brand or the roast or adding too much milk on any given day. One of my gfs loves their horchata hojicha so there's that. I tasted it and it was objectively good. I wouldn't get it only because I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, but if I were, it would be another go-to drink.

I've been here twice, once a few years ago with my cousins, and another three days ago. The people working were attentive and quick with their service. The ambiance of the place is cute, a lot of pink and green, very instagram-worthy, and I saw a few people with friends or working on their laptop so it seems like a great place vibe-wise. To expand on my matcha critique, I found the color to be a little on the green-yellow side, which isn't the end all- be all quality indicator for matcha, but I find matcha lattes that are more rich in color tend to taste better and this tasted like a matcha drink I could make with costco matcha. I've made some decent lattes with costco matcha but once I switched to the more higher quality ones, well, it sorta refined my tastes. There isn't a lot of parking, and to be fair, a lot of people who are in downtown Bellevue are parked elsewhere else and likely just meander their way to the cafe. However, if you're coming in by car, I'd suggest parking by the apartments nearby, DO NOT park at the Chase Bank lot, even if the bank itself is closed (learned my lesson...). Overall, a 3.7-3.9. Could be better. Maybe with other additives like cold foam or strawberries, the drink is better, but I'm judging based off the basic latte.

The menu is quite small with three cold sandwiches and three hot ones, each inspired by a different region of the globe with the South Pacific, South America and Mediterranean as a few examples. There were two salads listed as well. I've been here twice and both times, when I went to place my order on the iPad, the menu stated they were out of stock for the sandwich that I wanted. However, when I asked the employee, she said that was not correct. So if you see the same message when ordering, it's worth asking about it! During my first visit, I ordered the RENDANG ($14). This hot sandwich came packed with SO much meat! Very tender chunks of marinated beef tasted of coconut, curry and warm spices. The flavor had true depth and I could actually taste hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Thin spears of pickled cucumber and carrot added crunch and a perfect zing of acidity. They were refreshing and cut through the rich beef. A drizzle of Sambal Terasi (chili) aioli gave it another layer of flavor. Cilantro, mint and Thai basil were all fresh and vibrant. The bread was lightly toasted, being a little crinkly in texture without being harsh against my gums. If I could change something, I would include a couple extra slices of the cucumber to balance out the ratio of vegetables to meat, and add a bit more of the aioli. Other than that, this is a great sandwich influenced by flavors of the South Pacific. My companion got the STEAK sandwich ($15) and enjoyed it. The steak slices were thinly cut and tender as well. They do their beef right! On another occasion, I tried the PROSCIUTTO ($14), one of their cold sandwiches. The delicate layers of prosciutto were placed on top of sliced tomatoes, pickled onion and arugula, all between pressed focaccia bread. Truffle mustard was spread on both pieces of bread, which was WAY too much in my opinion. With this mustard having a stronger flavor, it overpowered the sandwich and made it too tangy, especially in combination with the pickled onions. The menu stated this should include pistachios, but I didn't notice any, and they were all out of provolone, so there was also an absence of cheese. For the prices, these sandwiches are pretty generous in size, so I consider them a good deal, especially for the Bellevue area. The ingredients are fresh and make for a fantastic lunch option. While I wasn't a huge fan of the Prosciutto sandwich, I'd definitely go back again for another Rendang!
