I've driven by this place a hundred times and never stopped because it was always after their hours. But made the mental note every time that I needed to. Finally last month I had the opportunity to stop in! I needed spare keys for my truck. I have this fabulous habit of setting my keys on the center console if I'm staying in my truck for a bit. But I don't always remember them when I get out. Or my husband goes behind me and locks the doors and I don't have time to tell him to grab the keys. Fortunately we haven't locked ourselves out, but it's been a close call a few times. So having spare keys is important. We were out running errands one afternoon and found them open, so we made it a point to stop in. It's an incredibly small shop, not exactly meant for browsing. Lol. But I can't really see a need for looking/browsing inventory either. I don't know the name of the guy who helped me, but he was great. Very friendly, despite the mask mandate and not really being able to see each other. I asked for a duplicate key to be made, and actually had two made. The process was quick and easy, not expensive either. Two keys for my truck cost me $10, and we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. I tested both keys while we were out that day and they work perfectly. I highly recommend this business for a couple of reasons. One, it's a small local business, and they need all the support they can get right now. Two, the precision level of cutting keys is about a million times better than Walmart or any other larger store I've purchased keys from in the past. In addition to mobile locksmith services, if you are looking for a hard to find key or lock, then this is the place to check out. I bought an old wardrobe, but it did not have a key to the door lock. After picking it up, I went directly to Heyman's and showed the guys what I had and asked for a replacement lock. They no longer had that type, but suggested a key might be found. In about five minutes the guy had found the key and sold it to me for six dollars. That was much cheaper and less effort than putting in a new lock. They had a good selection of cute key blanks there so I had a couple keys made as well. They have some old stock there, with the paper wrappers all aged and coming apart, but the metal stock is still good, so who cares what the wrapper looks like, it immediately goes in the trash anyway. Besides you'll be so happy to find a hard-to-find item that you wouldn't care if it came without a wrapper! read more

This company is absolutely awesome! I locked my keys in my van at 2:45 today and after calling Heyman's, my keys were liberated by 3:20! They got here so fast and Caleb couldn't have been nicer. Plus the cost was less than I thought it would be (it was a $65 lesson I won't forget!). I paid by debit card over the phone so all I had to do was drop a humble tip on Caleb and we were good to go. So I went to Heyman to get a couple of valet keys cut for my RAV4. They told me at the time that it was $64 dollars/key if I wanted the ones with transponders. So I found the keys online, and the programmer and did it myself. Trying to support local business, I went back and asked if they would cut the new keys I had. Yes,he said, for half the price I charge for the ones I supply. WTH? $32 to cut a key? I will NEVER return to this business again. read more
