I went here to meet up my girlfriends for dinner and drinks. We ordered 4 dishes and shared. My…read morefavorite dish was the Sichuan Spicy chicken from the authentic menu. It was spicy and flavorful. There was onions, cauliflower and lotus in the mix. The sauce was so delicious. The Sichuan spice was not overpowering and paired with the white rice was the perfect combo. We also had the fish dish. It was 2 large fishes in a heated pot. I didn't like the bones in the fish. The portion was so big. We were too scared to get a fish bone stuck in our throat that we just picked at it. The noodles and pork was good as well. It reminded me of a Thai noodle dish. My least favorite was the tofu. It was just ok. We also had sake to drink. The dishes were on the pricey side but large enough to share. The sake crafts were big and hot! I really enjoyed our meal and will probably come back soon!

It never got super busy though. Service was good. Staff were friendly and checked on us a lot. It's a very try modern looking restaurant. Looks more like a modern cafe inside. Not the vibe I expected but cute! We ordered spicy wontons, stir fried pork belly with green chili, sizzling beef short ribs, and Yangzhou fried rice. We had no idea the dishes all came with rice or else we wouldn't have ordered more. The food came out fast! Portions are definitely shareable. Nothing was spicy. I do think the flavors were a bit lacking. Everything could have been more seasoned but I wasn't mad at it. They do have both an authentic menu and an Americanized menu. Great to see this since not everyone has had authentic Sichuan. I'd come back if I have the chance!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but understood that this is a beloved restaurant to many in Columbus…read more I don't have a history with it, but was eager to meet up with family for a midweek lunch. The host was friendly and we were seated quickly, which is saying something because nearly the entire (huge) restaurant was full. Full of very old people and zero diversity (always a bit sus). Our server wasn't great. He wasn't actively keeping eyes on the middle circle tables, so ordering was extremely slow and we had to wave him down for a soda refill. No one came to refill everyone else's waters. I watched an outside table be sat after us and ordered before us all full of "thank you sirs". I had to ask 3 times for chopsticks for a 4 top. He brought 2 and one had a dirty wrapper. Minus points. The servers all seem like old guard. One lady kept having to bump into my sisters chair and say a rude excuse me every time - like my sister put her chair in the way on purpose? We ended up physically moving our table over to make it stop. Minus points. I love a more authentic Chinese food. I also love spicy. You're not going to get either here really. I ended up with Szechuan Pork - it was a mild spice but cooked well and flavorful. The chicken with asparagus didn't come with all the veg it said on the menu, but was tasty for Chinese American food. Same with the Tso's though it was a bit on the sticky sweet side for me. The house/combo lo mein was really good. I'd probably get that again if I ever go back. It's all *fine* for very Americanized Chinese food. Leans bland for a bland palate so if you like that, you will probably love it here. So ultimately the food tasted good, but for the mid service and extra price, it was a GENEROUS 3 for me. FWIW It's pretty - the renovation after the fire was well-executed and feels like an old-school Chinese restaurant so that's something. Also: The guy who puts the white paper on the tables also let the paper drape and drag over the head of one of our party while passing our table. So weird.

So excited to try a new noodle hot pot spot and was very happy with our experience!…read more It's tucked into a little plaza near Kroger in UA. Plenty of parking. When we went, there was no wait and only a few other diners. Very clean and quiet. We sat right away. The space was a little cold but it's winter so that's sometimes the case. They have QR menus, which I hate. However, the menu is gigantic, so maybe that's why? Still, it's such a pain to use online menus. They brought ice water out right away and it was maybe a cucumber water? So refreshing and in stainless steel cups! I loved that. We ended up ordering spring rolls (order of 6 for about $6). They were crispy, hot, and delicious. I wish they had an order of 1 or 2. For our hot pot soups, Mr got a spicy broth with some kind of beef and I got the basic broth with a spicy chicken. Mr loved his - he's a big fan of numbing spicy. I tried it and it definitely was spicy but in a good way. Mine was perfect - broth was super flavorful and the chili oil from the chicken added the perfect amount of spice. You also can get extra noodles for free if you dine in, but I didnt have any room left! Next time, I might just get the hot pot without added protein. It was lovely just by itself. As I mentioned, the menu is huge. There are so many things I'd like to try. I'd recommend it and would love to come back again!

We were the only patrons at this time. With it being our first time, we took awhile to go thru the menu. So many choices to choose from and so many appealing entrees. We ended up getting the diving chicken and braised lamb stretch noodle accompanied by some chicken wings to try. My diving chicken blew my socks off. It was beautifully presented, aromatic, and warm. It was accompanied by white rice. With Plenty of tasty marinated chicken, bok choy, green onions and bean sprouts in a semi spicy broth. Super fulfilling and a nice portion. I shared my bowl with a hungry 6 year old and still had leftovers! Fiance got the braised lamb and stretch noodles, he admitted he had no clue what he was getting or what to expect. Nevertheless he received a nice hearty bowl of lamb and hand stretch noodle in a nice and hot lamb broth. Also accompanied by white rice. He finished majority of his bowl only leaving some broth behind. We both tried each others and both agreed on the diving chicken having a better taste but I think it's because it's spicier. The chicken wings were on the dry side but they were still tasty and completely devoured. Service was standard and immediate. I didn't see a kids menu. Buy we Really enjoyed the food. Can't wait to try more!!

The Korean food is measured by "Ban-chan," the side dishes that come with the main menus. To prepare such side dishes is not easy. But, to prepare with original tastes only found in side streets of Korea, it takes years of cooking skills and holistic use of fresh varieties of vegetables with traditional touch of flavors. So, to find the restaurant Silla, tucked in the alley of shopping center near Marc's by Henderson and Reed road, does brings nostalgia as you walk toward the entrance. The service is important part of our culture. The lady who serves is so kind with a genuine smile. Even when she is serving so many customers, she manages to bring smile to those who she serves. Her kindness rubs off onto her customers - at first I was not used to her being so kind - but she has a way for opening up her sincerity. My wife and I am now a regular customer at Silla. Sometimes my food may come out late, but I come to enjoy the energy and vibe by many young college students, and savor the food as it is prepared the way it should be. As a Korean American, I am so thankful to have Silla in the heart of Columbus.
