I took my F-150 here after going to the Ford dealership and getting a quote for $1,100 to replace the BCM because the truck wouldn't start. On top of that, the dealership told me the part was on back order and could be up to a year before they could fix it. Also, this was after they had been "diagnosing" it for three days... I called Hexagon in desperation as I needed my truck for work. The owner reassured me it probably wasn't that complicated and to bring it by. 8 hours later the truck was completely fixed! My 2015 BMW convertible starting having a smell inside which I thought was an exhaust leak. I look it to my local Firestone who said I had a valve cover gasket leak and it was burnt oil that I was smelling. They then referred me to Hexagon as they weren't able to perform the work. I was going to take it to Pacific BMW, but decided to go to Hexagon instead and have them look at it. Met with Ahmad who confirmed the problem. It was a Friday morning and I thought I would need to bring it back the following day (Sat) or even on Monday. He said he would be able to order the parts and complete the work by the end of the day. He also provided me with a quote which I felt was reasonable so I authorized the work and left the car. Sure enough, my car was ready in the afternoon and they also power-sprayed the engine to give it a cleaning. They had plastic protection over my steering wheel, shifter, drivers seat, and floor. Ahmad Nawabi is, by a huge margin, the best mechanic I have ever encountered. I've known him since 1992, when he was recommended to take care of a blown head gasket on my 1987 Jaguar Series III. His quote was literally half that of the Pasadena Jaguar dealership, and his work was impeccable. Since then he has serviced my American and Japanese cars, and my BMWs, always dependably and reasonably. I am utterly impressed by his analytical skills (not surprising since he has a UK degree in mechanical engineering). Most importantly, he treats his customers as family. 27 years is a long time to stick with one mechanic, but I do not regret for one moment that decision. He's simply the best. read more

I wish I had come to Hexagon years ago. My girlfriend has been a customer for 16 years and recommended Hexagon after I complained about how my mechanic kept repeatedly breaking things in both my cars and trying to pass it off that I had brought the cars in like that. Anyhow, Hexagon is a godsend and I wish there are more Ahmads and Andrehs in the world. The things that I like about this shop is that Ahmad keeps his shop neat, he is hands on working on the cars (the shop that I just left, the owner was always barking at his workers and never knew what was done to my cars when I asked), they are VERY knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced.  You know they know their stuff when you see owners of vintage cars, Porsches, and boats bring their vehicles here. I was first introduced to this place by my friend a few years ago. Ahmad has always been extremely honest, reliable and helpful. I trust his recommendations and judgment 100%. Their rates are always reasonable. I can't tell you how many times he has saved me hundreds of dollars by helping me avoid unnecessary repairs. He has a lot of passion for cars (especially German cars!) and he is truly more interested in helping his clients and establishing a long-term relationship then making more $. I cannot say enough good things about Hexagon. I have known the owner, Ahmad, for over 15 years and he has been nothing but honest and competent. His prices are reasonable and his troubleshooting has always been spot on. He is particularly good on Jaguar and BMW, however, over the years, I have seen every description of make and model in his garage, from simple pickups to exotic one-off Ferrari collector cars. He is probably the best mechanic I have ever met, and that's saying something because I come from a family of mechanics and engineers. I was mildly recommended by a local body shop to have my car looked at by Hexagon. I went ahead without hesitation and had the full maintenance service completed which cost me $600+. The only other problem was an oil leak. Owner quoted me a minimum of $3-400.00 in labor alone just to open up the possible problem. He said there were no guarantees. He finally stated costs could exceed $1,200.00 but wouldn't know until he opened up the problem. I told him I cannot go forward with an open ended bill. He was not happy. I was nice and gently refused the repair work. Before he gave back my keys to drive off, (he knew I was going to get another estimate somewhere else)I he told me, "IT MAY CATCH ON FIRE!!!!!" .WHAT NERVE! !! HE TRIED TO SCARE ME AND USE FEAR MONGERING !!!!! He was probably so bitter that I did not leave my car and pay his ridiculous price!! I asked Audi about that threatening comment and they were horrified! The Audi service people said that Hexagon probably did that because I am a female and maybe he thought I don't know much about cars , options are limited and would just pay out of fear!!! DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY THESE TACTICS! I took my car to the Audi dealership and they quoted me 1/3 of the cost of Hexagon's repair without obligation!! I'LL TAKE THAT ANYDAY!!!!! Absolutely by far the best experience I've ever had with an auto repair shop. I'm a 50 year old guy that has been around a lot of cars and repair shops over the years. Not only is Ahmad skilled, experienced and brilliant, he's completely honest. Which is the best part and very hard to find in the auto repair world. One time, we (me included) were convinced that we needed a new alternator for an older car. All signs and logic were pointing that way. But Ahmad decided to investigate a little further. He eventually found that only a faulty wire needed to be replaced. Any other mechanic would have been happy to just charge us for the new alternator. But because of his care and honesty, what could have easily cost hundreds of dollars, ended up costing 9 dollars! Amazing. I've taken several cars there for different reasons, and its always been a great experience. Don't even bother looking around at other shops. Hexagon is by for the best! read more
