Had a slow leak on a tire and needed to get to the nearest tire shop and this was the closest one…read more When we got here, it looked really busy cause it was after 10AM on a Saturday morning. I registered for service and had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to look at the car. The nice gentleman that came to us is named Antonio. Looked at all the tires and assessed the leaking tire. It was a screw in between the 2nd and 3rd tread so it really was only a patch job. But because our tires looked old, there was a concern that it may not be "repairable" and might necessitate a replacement so I was told to choose a tire in case it came to that. I told him I'm sure it's just a patch job but I chose one cause I didn't have a choice. Because of liability, if the tire was deemed unsafe they will not put it back on and the replacement becomes a must. I also asked to have air put in our spare because the TPMS was lit on the dash prior to the leaking tire. He told us it would about 2 hours before they could get to work on our car but it wouldn't take long once they got to it. My son was getting Hangry so I had to find somewhere he could get something to eat. After a while I got worried cause I haven't received a call and it was approaching 2 hours already so we headed back. When I got to the car I was surprised to see that a new tire was installed on the car without consulting with me. I went back in line at the counter and Antonio explained that something happened during the removal of the tire and it got damaged. Because it was their fault, they replaced the tire at no cost to me. I thought I still had some service charges for looking at our spare but he said they took care of that as well at no cost to me. Talk about taking accountability on behalf of the customer. Antonio was very cordial and professional about the whole thing. I really appreciate the service quality I received that when the time comes to replace 4 tires, we will get it from Antonio. Thank you so much!

I had a run-flat tire go haywire on me (it was seven years old after all) and I wanted to stay with an independent shop. Yelp sent me to Rosemary and her staff right off Honolulu in downtown Montrose. Rosemary (the grandmother in this story) got right on the phone and shopped around for the best tire at the best price. It's no secret that run-flats can be significantly more expensive than regular tires, but I like that extra layer of protection as my car has no spare. We settled on four Hankook tires that are both round and black. No unnecessary upselling at Montrose Tire. Rosemary knows her tires and treated me fairly. The tires were ordered and arrived the next day in plenty of time for my install. It is true that the run-flat ride can be a bit rougher than air only tires, but the knowledge that I can keep going with a nail or two in my side is totally worth it. I'm a fan of Montrose Tire!

After I explained the issue etc, he did not check anything, he said that I need to change tires for 1000$, I do not need that as mine are fine, I just need service for wheels and he refused because as he said "I can check your issue with tires after I will change them to the new one". I explained one more time that I don't need to change them, they are fully fine, he just took car keys, sat in my car, drove it to the middle of the street and left it there. I asked- "So, you will not provide service because you can only change tires for 950$ and only after you are able to check my car even the battery?" He replied- "Yes" I just wanted to get service, but received this instead. I hope this manager gets some feedbacks as Yelp is full of his behavior.
