I wish I didn't like to smell nice. Then I wouldn't have to do laundry! For example, my brother went to the Bahamas for 3 months and took approximately 3 fresh water showers and probably never did his laundry (he only had 4 t-shirts and 3 board shorts). "Showers cost like $5, man!"
I digress. Henshaw Laundry is the solution for all those who hate doing laundry but like being clean. They have self serve machines, or for just $0.80 a pound, the little asian lady will do your laundry for you. That's right. They will wash, dry, and fold your laundry for you in just 24 hours. If you have stuff that can't be dried, separate it out and they will hand it back to you wet (but folded).
I was skeptical. $0.80 a pound translates into how much total? Would they mess up my clothes? Would all my socks come back? On average, I spend about $22 each visit for about 4 to 5 regular loads of laundry. It probably costs me about $4 more than going to a laundromat. They do not mess up my clothes. All my socks do come back - MATCHED!
Henshaw Laundry is easily the best thing that happened to me in 2007, besides meeting my lovely boyfriend, going to Puerto Rico twice, going to Martha's Vineyard, getting a bonus, buying new skiis, renting a ski house, eating a lot of good food, .. ok. So it was easily one of the things that made 2007 great.
