I got four dresses from Temu, however, they are all maxi dresses. I brought one of them in to be taken up (hemmed up). I very clearly instructed her to cut five inches off the bottom and then turn it up and hem it. I returned back the following week and I paid her $45.00 dollars to do it. Well, the sewing job was done well, however, she refuses to cut off as much as I wanted. She only cut off about two inches and then turned it up and hemmed it. I'm going to need to take it to someone else to redo it now. She is so ridiculously obstinate and controlling that she is unreliable like that. I told her that I had other dresses from Temu that I also want to have fixed. Unfortunately, even though she sews very well I'm not going to be able to give her return business. read more

I dropped off one of my favorite snapback hats for dry cleaning at Lee's 2 weeks ago thinking that it would be a simple job. Of note, I've dry cleaned this hat in the past 3 times at different dry cleaners without a problem. However, after I picked up the dry cleaning and opened the plastic cover to inspect the hat, I noticed that the strap was completely torn apart, and whoever tore it tried to conceal it by snapping the two broken pieces together (see pictures). Worse, the employee at the store took my money without informing me that this even happened, so I didn't find out about the tear until I went home and inspected the hat. I then returned to Lee's immediately to get an explanation and find a solution, but the only thing the employee said to me was, "My boss will call you back on Wednesday (i.e. in 4 days), leave your number." I then asked for her boss/manager's contact information, and the employee refused to provide it, saying that the manager was "out of town." Furthermore, she didn't even offer me a refund. I left the store infuriated. In summary, extremely unprofessional and unresponsive to the needs of their customers. Please avoid this business. read more

A dry cleaner I had used for decades and trusted finally closed up shop. A high standard...that Lee's met and exceeded. She is kind, attentive and thoughtful....also incredibly clever at stain removal even for what I consider difficult stains. Last winter, I'd brought in a cherished sweater with a moth hole, only to see the hole become invisible on return, to my amazement. She had not promised magic, in fact was cautious when she saw the hole, but she worked hard to create magic. I have been extremely pleased and relieved to have someone as reliable as Lee's in the neighborhood. Had the pleasure of using Lee once so far with a rather large order (around 100 or so garments/articles of clothing in total). Ms Lee is so kind and nice the minute you walk in the store. Now it doesn't look the most upscale place on the outside but don't let that fool you. She is awesome! And she is reliable! She underpromises and over-delivers. I brought my Canada Goose parka here for dry cleaning after about a year of wearing it out all the time. It was so dirty and there were stains all over it. I really didn't have high hopes for it at all. But I was actually so impressed with how good it looked afterwards. The coat looked brand new! The turnaround time was pretty quick too. On top of that, Lee herself is the sweetest person. She gave me a small discount after chatting a little bit about our families' backgrounds. I have been using Lee's cleaning since I moved to Brookline a year ago for dress shirts and suits. Not only is her work impeccable, she meets the highest standards of customer service. I needed a tux cleaned for a last minute event, and she was able to meet a very difficult time line, and even texted me (at my request) as soon as she was finished. It came out perfectly. More recently, after my wedding I knew just where to bring my wife's wedding dress. Her dress was long, with a long train and multi-layered lace. We were married outdoors and the dress accumulated quite a bit of dirt. Lee was able to meticulous restore the dress to its original beauty. Lee's cleaners is amazing! We've been going to them since 2021. We've sent them down comforters, tuxedos, suits, dresses, and blouses. Some will have sweat stains to remove or slight tears to work around and Lee's always gets rid of them. Recently, I dropped off a dress dear to my heart that had gotten stained a while back (couldn't remember when or with what) that rendered it un-wearable. Prices are also cheaper than other dry cleaners in the area (I know because I made the rounds and called many of them). About $6/woman's dress shirt and about $8 for blazer. The woman who runs the store is very up front about tailoring services and pricing. For example, she recommended against tailoring a shirt I had because the cost of the alteration would have cost more than the shirt itself (and the cost was on par with others in the area). read more

I very rarely utilize dry cleaning services but we wanted to mass-dry clean all of our winter coats to prepare for the cold season to come. We live right down the street and wanted to support a local business, especially one that included our last name. :) The ladies there were friendly - for 5 (or 6?) wool coats, the total was $86. I'm not sure what end of the spectrum that is but take it for what it is. It also took a week, which seemed like a long time? They also do not accept credit card; cash and check only, which was annoying. We'll probably return for future dry cleaning needs out of convenience. We are renovating our basement and haven't had our washer/dryer for 6 months which is rough with two small kids. We started used a popular laundry service and had a terrible experience - several missing items which we never got back, lots of our clothes were singed/ruined from being over-dried, and we got other people's laundry back with ours - random sweatshirts, t-shirts, socks, and underwear. It was... not pleasant. It was also very expensive. So we decided to move use another option. Lee's cleaners has been wonderful - no issues with missing items or ruined clothes, she has been great about accommodating our schedules when we need our laundry back by a certain time, and she is wonderful to work with. We have also sent our dry cleaning to Lee's Cleaners and she has laundered a large bedspread that required some TLC and significant stain removal. The results were great.
