There's nothing better than a full box of donuts! This Henry's location is the best one. Located in the 2500 block of Broadway in Everett. There's something for everyone there. I was convinced a guy can't get a decent cruller in this town but Henry's has some bomb crullers! There are so many choices and the gals working the counter are very helpful. They are open 24 hours so they attract a late night clientele looking for someplace warm to sip coffee but they keep to themselves. It's about $12.50-ish for a dozen and that seems fair. It's worth the drive for me to get some good quality stuff instead of the grocery store quality donuts down the way. I hear the bacon sprinkled maple bars are popular but I'm not into meat on a donut but to each his own. Seriously though... get a couple crullers in your box and you will thank me later. read more

My kids and I stopped in today for the first time and while the place is a bit dingy looking, they had a decent selection of donuts. We bought apple fritters, bear claw, boston creams, jelly filled powder, and a maple cinnamon. Apple fritters are my favorite so I tried one of theirs plus the bear claw. Both were good and certainly more fresh than the grocery store bakery. Good sized also. Steve and I were doing an early morning drive to get to Artist Point around Bellingham but after we made it through Seattle we needed just a little bit to eat on to tide us over before we had an actual meal. This location has super sweet people behind the counter (and, of course, super sweet donuts behind the counter), and groovy old-school seating. I know I'm in the minority here but I LOVE LOVE LOVE lemon-filled donuts, and Henry's lemon-filled is unlike any I've had; instead of being a little pillow of pastry covered in powdered sugar and packed with a lemon curd filling, Henry's gives you something more resembling a tiny volcano with cool, lemony lava flowing out of the top, and it was fantastic! Best Apple Fritters I've ever eaten. And I've eaten about 2.15 million so far in life. Almond Bear Claw was a runner up, and I didn't hesitate to order a maple bar. This place is an Everett institution. Came in at 10am today, donuts were plentiful. Family ate half them before I remembered to take a picture 18 donuts (some special ones included) right around $22. Mom and pops places always do it better. Henry's donuts is hands down my favorite donut place. Beats Krispy Kreme and even Frost donuts. It's a donut done right. I've been to this location as early as 5am (beaware the area is a little sketchy so try to park by the front door where it is well lit) and don't judge the place by its cover. The staff is so nice, the donuts are always fresh, and the prices are in beatable! My favorite is the maple bar with bacon! So melt in your mouth fresh! You can also get fresh donut holes for dozen for less than 2-3 bucks! I got a variety of donuts for $11... and I know they also do breakfast sandwiches with their fresh croissants. First, I got three donuts and when I asked the lady how much it was, she told me it was 7.39, for three donuts and then she took my debit card and charged my debit card 8.49. I would never go back, and the donuts were not even that good. I'm off to find a real donut shop and an honest one. I will never go to this donut shop again. Sooooo, since my original review, I have visited Henry's Donuts two more times. My review is staying at a 1 star. Both of the times I have gone in, the selection was minimal and both times I was there before 9:30a. Dumb. I'll just continue getting my donuts at Haggen. They are fresh and delicious there and still have a selection to choose from after sunrise. Today was the third chance I have given Henry's. The lady in front of me in line asked if they had any chocolate something or other left. She was told no, they are all sold out. So she said "okay, nevermind then" and left. I asked if they had any french cruellers left and I was also told "no more for today. They're all gone" so I also left without purchasing anything. Out in the parking lot I saw the customer from in front of me in line. I said "Well, I struck out too!" She was annoyed and said this happens to her all the time here. She said if you want something in particular, I guess you need to get here before 4:00a. Isn't that the truth?! It's like all they have stocked 24 hours is maple bars and cake donuts. Came in to get a few donuts for Father's Day and the place was very busy! By 10:30am all the bacon maple bars were all gone. I decided to get the original maple bar and it was delicious. The dough was perfectly soft and melted in my mouth. The parking is very convenient and you can order donuts a head of time if you are worried about them selling out which is great to know. I came here around 9am on a Saturday and these donuts were still warm! Staff is friendly! It's kind of hard to tell how fresh a donut is, so I look for the condition of the icing; if it looks really shiny, it may have been applied recently, that's a clue. The trick to donut shopping is finding out the times bakeries stock the freshest donuts. For most bakeries, that's early in the morning. This bakery is 24/7, so it can be a little trickier. When it comes to sweets, there are two items I always look for: good, preferably fresh Oatmeal raisin cookies (Cafe Ladro makes okay ones), and Date bars -there used to be a bakery in Kent that made them, but they closed.
