went here July 19 for breakfast, we were a party of 2, host took down our name and let us know there would be a 5 min wait, another party of 2 came in after us we waited outside in the entrance where extra seats are provided, other party of 2 waited inside the building across from the hosts desk, few mins go by as were waiting we see the host go ahead and sit the people who came in after us even though they were on the same waiting list after us, we walk in to see why we were skipped over since she did not go check there other waiting area, instead she's says rudely, are you ready now? Delicious breakfast on the way to Yosemite. I had an egg white omelette with all the toppings I wanted with county potatoes and a homemade biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was super light and fluffy. I drive from Northern CA 2 Southern CA monthly 2 take her 2 her doctor's appointment (s) nd we usually go somewhere 2 eat afterwards on this trip we decided 2 ask the receptionist where was a good restaurant 4 breakfast in Tehachapi nd she suggested Henry's Cafe nd another place which I cannot recall at the moment, there was a woman behind us who said "Henry's is really good",. My son just started working at the prison out there as a Supervisor Cook, so he met us there put his name down on the list, which I'm glad he did bcuz there was a steady flow of people going in and out of there 4 a Friday morning. My Mom nd I had the make your own omelets and my son had the French Toast combo - my fav., but choose 2b different that day nd boy was I happy with my decision it was delicious and had plenty of all of the requested items nd I ate the whole full omelet, my Mom ordered a 1/2 omelet nd took a small portion home...she is NOT as thick as me nd didn't think I would eat the whole thing...demolished it . It's a tiny place with about 10-12 tables. But it is big on friendly service and generous quantities of home-style cooking. I ordered the 2x4 plate with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The bacon was cooked to perfection, eggs were light and fluffy, and the pancakes filled my plate. Hubby and I split the plate and had plenty. There's better confidence with Henry's Cafe for breakfast burritos because I'm close to the workers and am able to order sides and sauces for a perfect occasion next to a car wash location and an actual car repair shop. We're talking about a restaurant that's not only local but also safe within distance to resources maintained on a regular basis. I've had strips of bacon separate for one dining occasion under the dining of last year and my recent visit brought memories of Henry's Cafe and their visual takes on goods and basics of dining. read more

Went to Henry's Cafe for breakfast. This place is pretty crowded on weekends, this is a good sign. We were seated and promptly greeted by our server. 2 minutes later the coffees were on the table and we were ordering. I had the bacon and eggs with hash browns and toast (my standard go-to). I asked for the bacon and toast to be crisp. When I got my food a few minutes later... everything was exactly how I ordered it, crispy bacon and crispy toast. And the food tasted great!!! Overall a great meal and wonderful experience eating at Henry's Cafe. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town. read more

My parents and I were visiting Tehachapi for the day and found Henry's Cafe on Yelp. They nearly had a five star rating and I understand why. The greeters and waitresses were all very friendly!
