Got there right at 12 and it was basically empty, but it filled up by 12:30! Got the turkey club - it was 6/10. The food came out fast but the waitress took a long time to bring the check, and walked by us many times. Overall would probably go back!

This was the breakfast from the menu (not their scheduled weekend brunch). I LOVED it here!! Was staying at the hotel and my local friend said it's a must for bfast. Did not disappoint. The staff were also super nice. I got some jellies to gift on the way out :)

Food was ok. The pancakes are def overpriced it was like $21+. Steak and eggs and potatoes lacked flavor.. service was good. Waiter was nice.

Daily pie. Always get this. Homemade and delicious

Solid food. Amazing pies. Always get the pie of the day for dessert, which is a personal size. Dining room is huge and has a southern cafeteria feel to it. Some of the sides you can tell are mass cooked and taste old from sitting around. Entrees are always fresh though. Crab and corn chowder Light and sweet. Almost zero crab though. Still decent though 3.5/5 Pork chop Large portion cook week. Nice smokiness to go with the sweet berry sauce 4/5 Pie of the day Homemade and delicious personal pie. As good as a pie can get 5/5

After unwinding from the day, we had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant inside our hotel, and it exceeded expectations. The ambiance was serene and inviting, the food was exceptionally fresh and flavorful, and our waiter provided outstanding service. If you're in the area, especially if you're staying at The Charles Hotel, this restaurant is a must-visit

Henrietta's Table is our favorite breakfast place we have been to in a long time. Food is fresh and amazing. The service is friendly and kind. Such a nice addition to our trip to Boston. we will be back!!

3.5 star is pretty accurate. Love the fact that this is one of the few restaurants that open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Harvard square. It's more geared towards faculty, staff, and visitors given the price point. It's located on the second floor of the hotel. They have outdoor seating as of September 2023, not sure if outdoor seating continues throughout the colder months. Came here for dinner and the food was great. The service was okay, but it's Boston, so what do you expect. They take reservations via OpenTable, which is a plus. Probably won't be back anytime in the near future, but will keep this place in mind. Ambiance is good for a date night or a large group of friends/colleagues. If you plan to use a tax exempt corporate card, make sure you have a printed copy of the tax exempt certificate with you. Also bring your photo ID for verification.

This beautiful hotel restaurant was an excellent choice for breakfast. I was truly amazed by the interior as soon as the elevator doors opened; it felt like stepping into an upscale library. The ambience of the restaurant was great. I ordered coffee, freshly squeezed carrot juice, and an avocado spread. My friend shared hash browns with me. We stayed there for over two hours, enjoying breakfast and conversation. It's an excellent choice for an out-of-town guest looking for a breakfast spot.

I was pretty underwhelmed with the food quality for such a highly reviewed place. The steak and eggs were subpar, and the salmon bowl lacked flavor. But, the ambiance was excellent, we had a table right next to the window with some sunshine and great large open layout in the dining area. And the banana pudding dessert was amazing! Delicious beyond words with caramel and English toffee!

Great to come back here and see that while menus and staff change the quality of food, service, ambience and dining experience stay the same. HT's food remains wholesome, flavorful and fairly priced. It is not easy to maintain high quality year after year in the restaurant world. Kudos to Henrietta's Table for doing so. Scrod was tender and cooked perfectly on a bed of crispy potatoes. And the seasonal salad with watermelon so refreshing. Enjoy!

I don't eat a lot and am always torn between multiple items. They offer the ability to have small plates of every item so I can try everything I want. I went with two small plates - the duck and the artichokes. If I could have kicked my plate I would have. I then had the mango coconut crème brûlée for desert - amazing! We were a table of 4 and everyone loved everything we ordered. Huge call out on their mocktail items - they can make many of their cocktails as mocktails. I had the nor'easter and now want the recipe so I can make it at home. Our server, Elle, could not have been more perfect. She was incredibly attentive but not overly so. We told her of two dietary allergies and she clicked them faster than we did. We said we wanted to taste each others and when one of us stated they wanted to taste them all she noted she could try one because it had shellfish,l before we did. She even checked them all for my tomato allergy, not just the items I ordered. Wish every restaurant would set up their menu the same way Will be back and will send everyone I know.

Even with my daughter going away and skydiving for her solo birthday trip, I still got to enjoy…read morequality time with her over the long Columbus Day weekend after she got back. Because if there's anything I'm gonna STILL do is celebrate my daughter's birthday EVEN in her 30s!!So to celebrate her big 32nd, Oak Bistro on Cambridge St. in Cambridge made the cut. Oak B. might not hit you with all that fancy-schmancy decor when you first walk in, but babyyy, what they (kind of) lack in flair, they more than make up for where it counts! You walk in and there's the main dining room, over by the bar, they have about three high-top tables. These aren't your regular high-tops- we were seated in this cute, tucked-away nook that had its own vibe going on. A half-wall of raw brick separated our table from the one next to us and I was digging it! Let me talk about the reserved tag on our table because it wasn't some "RESERVED" basic little sign. What they placed was such a unique touch, it spoke volumes! I discreetly let our server Annie know we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and sis understood the assignment! From that moment on, she was on it every single step of the way! But birthday or no birthday, Annie was just that good. Thank you for being and doing the mostest! We started with a tasty roasted maple pear salad, then came the octopus appetizer which was tender, seasoned beautifully and packed with flavor. As for cocktails, between my 2 and my daughter's, they were nicely done and had a respectable little kick. Strength wasn't totally over the top- but doable. And by the way- our drinks didn't look boring. I had the Albedo and Liquid Gold, while my kid went with the hibiscus cocktail and the presentation was giving what it needed to give! Pretty glasses, thoughtful garnishes, the whole nine! Thank you for going beyond the lemon or lime wedge! I live for a cocktail that looks like somebody actually put their whole flair into it. As for main plates, I went with the squash+kale+ mushroom risotto, while my daughter ordered meaty scallops on the same style of risotto. My risotto was good, creamy and perfectly seasoned- but I actually wanted more mushrooms and their flavor to come through stronger. Still good. But those scallops! We ordered their own version of a flourless chocolate molten cake for dessert- just don't expect the usual cut-it-open-and-chocolate-oozes out situation. Their version was more like a wet, dark chocolate cake. It was different- but delicious! Annie wasn't finished with us yet! Here she comes with Oak B's version of beignets for my daughter's birthday!!! These weren't the typical fluffy, airy beignets. They were moist, a little on the dense side, but soooo freaking tasty. And that caramel sauce.... Good God Almighty. They gave us a generous little cup of that sauce and I promise you, I could've drank two cups! If there was an award for best server, it would go to Annie!!! She wasn't robotic, wasn't giving us that fake-friendly restaurant routine. She was genuinely warm, attentive, pleasant and just downright kind! She knew when to check in, when to give us space and how to make my daughter's birthday dinner feel like something special without making a big production out of it. So no, Oak Bistro might not blow you away with their décor- but between the awesome little touches, seriously tasty food, cocktails with personality, delicious scallops, mind blowing caramel sauce and a total gem of a server, Oak B. did its thing.

They were serving a half rack of ribs special, served with mac and cheese, cornbread, and onion rings. I mean what can I say--everything was absolutely delicious. One of the best mac n cheeses I've had. Cornbread was blueberry and delicious. Ribs?? Yum. The sauce on top was sweet and the ribs fell off the bone. Onion rings were delicious. Yup--good choice coming here. While sadly this dish is not one of their regular menu items, it still showed me the quality of food this place produces. I did mention to our server that this dish should be rotated onto their menu (please!!) The ambiance is intimate and perfect for a date night or special occasion. The couple next to us was actually celebrating their anniversary and they had a handwritten card on the table waiting for them, it's these little touches that go a long way. Plus the food at the tables around us looked delicious. I will be back to try their official menu, but was thoroughly impressed and left dreaming about the mac n cheese.

Forage isn't necessarily a cheap spot, but I just had a great experience here and do believe it is…read moreworth the price you pay. My partner and I couldn't decide what to get from their a la carte menu so we ended up going for the four-course tasting menu instead ($85/pp), picking the omnivore and pescatarian options to see if we could try more items. We were actually a little underwhelmed at first, but the tasting menu got better and better after each course. The tasting menu started with some of their in-house pickles and ferments. We had some onion, green beans, and cucumbers, which I wished were crunchier. Each pickle had a good amount of acidity but I wouldn't have minded if the flavors were punchier. The first course of the tasting menu was a salad. Visually it just looked like a pile of lettuce, but they added a savory garlicky sauce and a sprinkle of asparagus salt that allowed the dish to feel refreshing and hearty at the same time. The radishes were crunchy, peppery, and delicious, and we were very pleased to find that many of the later courses also included raw radish. We ended up getting different dishes for the second course, one of which involved deep-fried arancini-like balls of risotto with a creamy sauce, and the other had a cold plant-based loaf served with a vibrant garlic sauce. Both dishes featured some fresh greens that balanced the carby heaviness. By the time we got to the third course, we realized that Forage makes their vegetables shine. The omnivore course came with a steak while the pescatarian course had a pan-fried fish, both of which were also available to be ordered a la carte. While we thought that the steak and fish were seasoned and prepared well, the vegetables stood out to us even more. They weren't prepared in any crazily innovative way but the chefs made the natural flavors of the vegetables shine in a way that complemented the rest of the dish very well. After the third course, we added one optional cheese course ($22/pp) that came with even more radishes. The hazelnut shortbread was super buttery and everything went well together. I was already feeling pretty full and was glad that we only got one cheese course instead of two. Finally, the fourth course had a maple semifreddo with seaweed crisps and a caramel nut sauce. This was amazing and something that I'll think about for a long time! I could really taste the maple flavor in the semifreddo, and the cold creaminess went so well with the salty, crispy seaweed and nutty, buttery caramel. The balance of textures and flavors in the dessert was excellent. Along with the tasting menu, we added one wine pairing ($60/pp). We liked some of the wines so much that we asked for more information about them and learned that some of the wines are imported in small batches. After experiencing how well vegetables are prepared here, I'd love to visit during different seasons to sample their vegetarian menu items.
