Of course she said, which we later seen that so many people would pop in with their fur babies. We checked in which there was about 4 other parties ahead of us. We were wanting the patio seating which they had plenty of seating but still had to wait for a table. It was about a 10 minute wait or so. They were going by the sign in sheet. Hostess was quite sweet and friendly. We got seating which there with plenty of seating still available. There was also hi top bar seating where it seemed like it was first come first serve seating. Menu for the place looked quite interesting. They had breakfast but it was only served till a certain time. Of course the reason we stopped in here was for the Bloody Mary deal we saw for 7.50. Not sure if it's all week or only on for the weekend. Found out that it goes on till 5:30 I believe. Of course we had to try it out. It was a pretty decent size and extra spicy how we like it. Adorned with celery stick, pickle slice, pearl onion, olives and perppercini. For the price, it was quite nice. I thought they would have just used the premixed but it was quoted that each one was made specifically. Quite tasty I must say. Entrees, we just went for a salad. The poke salad on top of mix spring greens was excellent. Nice full chunks of poke in a nice glaze and served with dressing on the side. Portion wise was massive for the price. And the Cobb salad. Your classic with all the usual toppings. Grilled chicken with bacons, tomatoes, avocado, eggs blue cheese crumbles and black olives. Food was nice. Nothing major but they were great. We did also order a side of fries which never came out but later didn't see it on the bill. Waitress must have not heard us ordering it. It was fine. The food was great and service was nice. Not sure why I could not be seated in an adequate seat. Waiting for a tiny table to be cleaned and instead of being able to sit in it, was offered a smaller bar seat facing people watching the game which I'm sure they would have been happy having me block their view while I ate my food inches from them. I was directly told no when asked about the table I was standing at "no I'm giving it to these 2 people" who walked up after I had already been there. I understand trying to seat everyone on a busy day but come on. This is 2nd time I am finding an inconsistency in the customer service here. I would probably not have posted this had another person not been also complaining about being passed up and had been waiting. I hate when places start thinking they are so popular they can lose customers from bad customer service and it won't make a difference. It's sad when you have 50% good customer service and then the rest that could care less. And before I get some response about it being a busy day due to the big game, the table I was waiting for was almost in the doorway clearly a last resort table. Would I have minded waiting for a spot? No. But why would I since it was only me, clearly my patronage was less valued than everyone else with 2 people or more. How sad. The server couldn't have cared less. It was that crappy bar stool or nothing. Considering even with specials, the minimum spend per person is $30 and up, I guess it's all about maximizing $$ and my $$ aren't enough. I've been a regular at Hennessey's for a couple of years, Stopped in around 2:45 PM for the Smashburger special and asked to sub a Beyond patty. Instead of the usual $3 upgrade, I was told I had to pay full price, $19, for the same burger everyone else was getting for $7. Meat costs more than a veggie patty, so the math ain't mathin. Old management allowed the Beyond upgrade. Charging extra for not eating meat feels less like a policy and more like a punishment. Cute look. Love supporting local, but it should go both ways. Our second visit since we started our visit in SoCal. Parking in the tea is pretty tight. We were able to get a spot in their lot, even though a couple of large pickups made it even tighter! I was really excited to show my friend how good the smash burger is, but after giving it such a strong recommendation, I ended up disappointed. The burger tasted like it had been sitting out--it arrived cold and didn't feel freshly made. They have a small parking lot but i assume it's small. There's lots of parking space in the steet but it's all full and usually have to get lucky to find a space. Also not sure how seatings work here. We entered the restaurant, no one greeted us, so we just sat down at a table. So we were out to grab a bite to eat and the live music won me over. The dude performing was amazing and took all of our request. We grabbed some drinks and got the French Fry sampler. This was a first for me, but the plain fries and aioli was my favorite. Not to say the garlic fries and spicy fries weren't great as well. The 2 tops there look like they serve the purpose of a waiting area for the bathrooms during busier hours, not to sit and drink or dine. A minute after being seated my friend told me she wished to be seated near a window. I saw the party of 2 at the 6 top table that had been finishing up in the front was leaving. I kindly went to the host, explained I was there with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time and asked to sit there, as no one else was waiting to be seated. He said we couldn't sit there, only at a bar, which neither of us wanted. He gave no reasoning. I decided our money was better spent elsewhere, so we walked over to Avila's where we were treated respectfully and given the choice to sit wherever we wanted. No food or drink was consumed at Hennessey's. My advice to management: customer accommodations should be considered for a better turnout. Also maybe ditch the bathroom front 2 tops. read more

Based on recommendation, we tried the bbq brisket burger which had slices of brisket, fried onions, lettuce, tomato and beef patty cooked to your liking. The burger itself was good, meaty and juicy (that's what she said), but the burger patty that was cooked to medium tasted a bit bland and under seasoned. Not to say I like a lot of salt, but just a bit more would've kept me satisfied until the end. Each burger comes with choice of fries or can upgrade to other choices. I doused some malt vinegar on the fries and it was great. The corned beef sandwich was good but could use more meat and sauerkraut. It comes with chips. The Nachos were different than what we SoCal ppl are used to. They're thinly sliced potato's laid out on a plate with nacho toppings. It's good, but I think the potato could be crispier.
