Perhaps, only if you're seeking the smallest game on a very short trip. Is there really such a thing ever as having TOO much? Perhaps, there is no such a thing if you're a "responsible" prepper or an avid enthusiast seeking to advance yourself to handle just about ANY situation thrown your way - including the apocalypse. I definitely do not believe there is such a thing as having too much. And I can bet on it that most of the people here today at Kittery Trading Post feel the same way. Yes, the prices are mostly MSRP and sometimes higher. Yes, you can most likely (99% of the time) get a better deal elsewhere (especially online). But where can you actually have the opportunity to TOUCH everything or be likely seduced to WANT more because you weren't aware that such an item even existed? Here, at KTP, that is exactly what happens. You think you have a particular item in mind? How about being thrown more options that most other stores even dream of carrying? Thought you liked something online? How about holding that item in person and deciding if it is the right fit for just a fraction more of the price (and avoid the need to make returns for the most part?) How about being swayed into another product because you "apparently" didn't research it enough to realize there are even BETTER options that fit your exact needs (or because it's more expensive and you can justify it in person, lol)? Kittery Trading Post is definitely one of my ultimate retail spots as an outdoor enthusiast and an avid prepper (for whatever possible events will ever unfold in my fantasies). And every time I'm here, I always leave with at least one new toy for the personal arsenal. Definitely love this place even if it's not exactly the best bang for the buck.

This is like REI on steroids…read more Tons and tons of outdoor gear. An outdoor enthusiast's mecca or dream. Free parking lot and they have a tent set up outside with their sale items. They usually have events every weekend as well to drive visitors to their store so it's pretty busy all thr time. If you're one of those people that likes to explore recreational clothing, shoes, and equipment in person, this is the place to go.

They have basically anything you need for outdoors activities. I've usually shopped for hiking gear and camel backs or osprey / rei branded stuff. Also got a pair of hiking boots. I think it's cool REI is a coop brand. Member owned. They have plenty of sales going on, bicycles standard and electronic assisted, survival gear, clothing from all sorts of brands, boots and hiking gear, camping gear, lanterns, knives, paddles, water shoes, and also have deals on traded in gear. Nice experience. Love walking around and looking at stuff i probably don't need but it's a cool tool or utility purposed item.

My first time actually popping into a physical REI store!…read moreI've only ever shopped online via their website & haven't visited in person until today. This is an incredible store to visit if you're looking for outdoor needs! If you're going camping any time soon, skiing/snowboarding, water activities, running, hiking, biking... or even just looking for athletic wear & outdoor gear, this is the spot to hit up! I was surprised to see that they offer Vuori clothing here. I thought that Vuori only sold at their own stores, so it was a pleasant surprise to see on their second floor! I was very intrigued by their electric bikes that were on display on the first floor, by their shoe selection. Cannot lie, was very tempted to get one just because they looked cool! Of course, have to do some research first haha. The vibe was very similar to an LL Bean store, I loved it! Looks like they have some decent sales in store, 20% off one full priced item & had many 30% discounted items.
