I love the variety of designs they have now -not just the one that started this brand. There was actually overload in this store and there are some other brands here as well. The prices are a bit high because I know you can buy these items in other stores for a lot less (Marshall's etc). But it is fun to walk around!

Almost everything at the Retail store can be bought at the local Marshalls and TJ Maxx for an average of 60%+ LESS THAN THE RETAIL STORE! Each time we have gone into the store we are amazed at the high prices. A lot of the stuff they sell seems to be very 90's and even our own kids think that the Life is Good brand has seen its best days come and go! Marshalls in Newburyport has LIG T-Shirts, water bottles, coolers, umbrellas, towels etc. They have almost everything the LIG Retail store has for much much less. Overall the store is cluttered with dated and overpriced styles even the kids don't think is "hip" anymore. Sad, but even this has come to an end...

After I called the surf shop to advise them that there was no instructor at the meeting location, I was told who we were supposed to have as an instructor apparently "had a mixup in his schedule" is what the young lady said when calling. This isn't the first time this has happened. When we did this last year same situation of a schedule mixup. The young gentleman at the shop where you pick up your wetsuits are very pleasant and helpful. I was later called by one of the managers to let me know that they were refunding for the full cost of the lesson and that we would still get our lesson. They said they were refunding to apologize for the inconvenience of waiting over 30 minutes past our lesson time for an instructor to arrive.

Dominic, the friendly owner, took us 3 (total novices with 3 pretty distinctly differing ability levels) out, made us feel safe, gave us fantastic guidance, and taught us key skills that enabled us to have a great experience. This was summer 2020, mid-pandemic time, and we felt safe as far as protocols and were very grateful we could still rent the boards and enjoy a lesson. We took the 2-hr option and found it perfect for our novice needs. There was nothing I was looking for that I didn't find there and nothing I'd have changed about the experience. If you're looking to learn to stand-up paddleboard, I recommend a lesson with this group! Grateful!

I went in the morning to buy wax and the guy and girl working there helped me out right away- Then I went back after my beach session the same day and they immediately recognized me with friendly faces, which made me feel less embarrassed about going in the store for the second time. I went in because I hated my cheap wooden skimboard that I got somewhere else and asked for their recommendations for a better one. I couldn't have been any happier because both were extremely helpful and informative. I'm a beginner and the guy especially took his time to explain the differences between boards, which ones were best, tips on skim boarding in general, etc. I really appreciate that kind of chill and nice vibe because most people just try to sell to newbies rather than engage in conversation about a common interest! He ended up going in the back to get me a really nice fiber glass one that he actually was going buy for himself, but let me have it. Thanks!!! Both workers have been skim boarding for a long time and they know what they're talking about! The girl also gave me more tips and recommended beaches for all skill levels for skim boarding. 5 stars for actually caring about a beginner like me and encouraging me to know this sport better! They also repair boards and help install traction pads. Definitely going back for the track pads once I get better and also when I feel like trying out surfing! (They do rentals and lessons, yes)
