There was a line up and more people this time around too. This time I tried the bone marrow pho and also had the roasted brisket pho. The roasted brisket was awesome and easily the highlight of the meal for me. They were also running a promo with free drinks (iced lychee or peach tea), which was a nice bonus. Neither drink is really my thing personally, but hey, free is free. The only thing I didn't like was the removal of the fresh noodle option, but the dry noodle was fine. Service was generally decent as well. Overall, a much better experience this time around, and I'd recommend giving it a try.

The portions are large. We got free chicken wings because our order was over $50 The not so good: They use a lot of msg in their food. Both of us were thirsty as sure sign of too much msg. And I can handle some msg but this was heavy handed. Our waiter kept forgetting the mango shake I wanted to like it but I don't think I'll be back due to the msg overload but if you're ok with that you should be fine The chicken wings had too much batter I thought but very crunchy The rolls were good and it was nice it came with a side salad

As soon as I walked into the doors, the aroma of the pho overtook my senses and my mouth was already salivating and my palate was excited. Everyone knows the rule of eating pho is eat the first spoon of broth alone. After I sipped my first spoon, I squeezed a bit of lime and dived in for more. The broth was perfectly seasoned and had a depth of flavor that was evident that the broth was made over several hours. Just a nice simply beef noodle soup that reminded me of my childhood eating pho at home. It's very rare to say pho at a restaurant is comparable to one made at home. When good food makes you reminisce of your younger years, I totally understand what "food is love." The interior design really takes you back in time with the old TV and radio equipment. I thought it was pretty cool. The service was adequate. Overall, one of the best pho I had in Toronto.

The restaurant itself is beautiful, and service was quick and efficient throughout the meal. One thing I liked is that the pho only comes in one size, which is basically equivalent to a large bowl at most other spots. The broth was so good that I barely needed to add anything besides bean sprouts, basil, and a squeeze of lime. It was light, clean, and incredibly comforting. There was a generous amount of meat, especially beef tendon, and the portion overall was huge. It's rare for me to struggle to finish a bowl of pho, but this one had me tapping out near the end. Definitely understand why this spot is such a Scarborough favorite.

We started our meal with some appetizers - Spring Rolls, and Shrimp Rolls. They were huge and delicious, a sign of things to come. My cousins had the Rare Beef and Beef Ball Pho, Rare Beef and Flank Pho, and the Grilled Pork Vermicelli. The pho broth was rich in flavour, and very tasty. The grilled pork was delicious, with a nice charred flavour. I had the Beef Rib Bones Pho that included three meaty rib bones, and a knuckle bone with rich marrow. This dish is so huge, it's served in two bowls! It was a little awkward to eat because the bones were so large. I ended up taking home half of it to enjoy later. This dish is more than enough for sharing! Everything we had was very flavourful, with huge portions. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very inviting. I highly recommend Lang Chai. With…read morethe delicate skin and ample filling, the spring rolls have a light juicy quality that makes you want to have a second. Maybe I can't share these anymore. Hulking beef bones are now the rage at Vietnamese restaurants. Pho Thanh Cong's beef rib pho ($22) arrives with two decently sized bones as well as a handful of shaved beef. There's a lot of toppings so you won't be left with a bowl filled with noodles. And while the beef ribs don't have a lot of flavours on its own, the restaurant offers a lot of condiments including three types of hot sauce and garlic slivers. After creating a sauce of hoisin, garlic chili, and garlic slivers and slathering it onto the ribs, they were delicious. The rare beef and brisket rice noodle soup ($17 for medium) also has a hefty portion of protein. Although the rare beef was very lean so some diners may find it tough. Still, the broth was full of flavour and perfectly seasoned, so much so that I could enjoy the pho without any condiments. Sometimes it's nice to just savour the beef broth and herbs sprinkled throughout.

We shared the vermicelli with fried fish cake with tumeric and dill, vermicelli with snail and fish sauce chicken wings. Both the noodle soups were huge portions and so unique to any other offerings I've had a chance to try at a Vietnamese restaurant. We were both blown away by how deliciously different these soups were to the many different phos and buns we have had before. The fried fish cake soup had a rich and herbaceous broth with fried fish cakes, fried fish slices and lots of different veggie slices. We particularly loved how fresh the broth tasted with the addition of dill, Chinese watercress (?), thinly sliced radish strips...etc. I would order this again and again! The snail noodle soup with vermicelli was equally good with slightly more sour flavour profile. The addition of tomato and fried tofu gave the broth extra depth. The chewy, yet pleasant texture of the snails were surprisingly enjoyable as well. I would also order this again. The deep fried chicken wings in fish sauce was delicious, savoury and addictive. It had been a long time since I've been so excited about à new restaurant and I hope to return here with more friends and family soon.

The last few weeks I thought of it, and had a dream about it lol and there I was, and I was happy!!! Soup had slightly sweet and sour notes from tomato and is loaded with crab meat! A touch hot. Very delicate... I am always suspicious about vermicelli in hot soup, as it often loses texture and gets soggy in the soup. But NO, their vermicelli kept its delicate mix of crunchiness and springiness. We also tried #50 (with pork). Huge! Lots of crispy lettuce, nice roasted peanuts crunch, shrimp chips' light & crispy texture, and super tender meat were wrapped in a soft steamed rice noodle. The wrapper was different from fresh spring roll's, more springy. The texture was super enjoyable. If there were more meat, the textural/flavor balance/contrast would have been perfect IMO. But yes, it was very good. :) #500 Saigon Fried Rice was also good, do not let these frozen veggies let you down lol :) Homey and well rounded, savory taste. A lot of meat - BBQ pork, vietnamese sausage and pork sausage. Two large shrimps are on top, bonus. Menu is extensive, service was friendly and efficient. I will come back!!!!

The 12 wings and beer would have been such a good deal except the drink was pretty watered down. We brought it up to the waitress so hopefully they change that in the future.
