Salmon wrap with sweet potato fries - A wrap sandwich filled with vegetables and possibly meat, secured with a toothpick, is placed on an orange plate alongside seasoned fries. A tall glass of water with ice is positioned behind the plate. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment, with a counter and condiments visible in the background.

Came into town to check out the minute man monument and trail and came in for lunch. So glad we did family owned business with fresh food. We waited about 20 minutes but it was worth the it. Stop in for a tasty meal and dont forget to get a shake.

What a happy accident when my hotel's breakfast buffet closed earlier than I expected, and I had to go into town for breakfast! If I hadn't happened, I would not have had a lovely breakfast at Helen's. The menu has a nice variety and the customers seem like a mix of visitors and local people. Lots of greeting each other by name which gives a really welcoming vibe. Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt like all the servers have probably been there a long time and they enjoy their work. I had the Joe's Special, made with turkey sausage. Very tasty. Their home fries are delicious. Really flavorful, almost like the potatoes were simmered in a stock before they were fried up. Or maybe whoever's in the kitchen just has a deft hand with seasoning Also had the biggest cold brew I've ever had in my life. It would give a Sbux Triente a run for his money, and it was delicious. (Their coffee is Bad Ass brand out of Hawaii.) Parking is on street and free (there are meters but the City has deactivated them). Even if you have to park a little ways away,Helen's is worth the walk.

Shrimp Po' Boy Wrap and Asian Salmon Salad - The image shows a colorful mixed green salad with grilled chicken, avocado slices, chopped green onions, tomatoes, and a dark dressing on an orange plate. Next to it, on a green plate, there is a wrap filled with vegetables and possibly chicken, accompanied by a side salad of shredded carrots and lettuce, with a small container of dressing. The plates are placed on a dark wooden table.

Great find in the center of town. Went for a late lunch on a Saturday, and it was packed, but we were seated very promptly and waited on almost immediately! I was very impressed with how friendly and efficient the staff were in spite of how very busy they were. The menu is extensive with a wide range of options. I got the shrimp po' boy wrap, which was great -- New Orleans-hot, but even better since it includes some perfectly crisp bacon for a surprising and wonderful crunch! My partner's Asian Salmon salad was also excellent. It's unusual to find a restaurant that can deliver on such a range of dishes, and we want to come back and try more of them.

Turkey burger and fries. - A burger with a toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, and toppings, served alongside a portion of French fries on a yellow plate. The plate is placed on a dark wooden table, and the burger appears to contain various ingredients, possibly including avocado and pico de gallo.

I've only been here once before with my girlfriend and we caught the end of the lunch rush so it was hard to judge the potential. This time, I came with a craving for a diner style lunch and they delivered. Plenty of tables were open, my server was super nice, the order was quick, and when the plate came out I could see whoever was on the grill knew what they were doing. The standard turkey burger there comes with pico and avocado, and normally wet toppings would make the top bun disintegrate, but they'd toasted it hard enough that it held up perfectly. Fries were on point, sized between shoestring and steak for a nice starchy snap with a little extra time in the fryer to make them crispy. Then despite having a decent sized meal, I caved and got the banana split so I could check out their ice cream. It looked like folks there were going for milkshakes, maybe I'll try that next time. In any case, I recommend catching these guys off peak so you can soak in the chill diner vibe and completely enjoy the experience.

Breakfast was just ok. Lacked quality & portions, especially since the price point was high.

Take out order. Middling breakfast burrito with added bacon was $16. Server was visibly annoyed I didn't tip. Not in any hurry to return.

Average food, Friendly servers. Super loud, really very noisy. Local people love it at Helen's. I appreciate that they hire local teens.

Woods Hill Table - Beef tartare

Probably my favorite local restaurant. I'm always happy with the service, food and ambience.read more

TIME TO MOVE ON I GUESS I've been to Woods Hill Table about…read morea dozen times over the years. Breakfast service when new, and many dinners since. The ambiance is polished and cozy like a posh UK country gastropub, but tables are a bit crowded. *** THE GOOD *** Our first dinner at Woods Hill was brilliant. Charming and skilled service.. smoothly timed delivery. I inquired on the steak tartar and was told the owner had a plate every night. SOLD... and it did not disappoint. Fine uniform prep I seldom see, quail egg, NOT drowning in cornichons, served chilled.... impeccable. A wild boar ragu pappardelle for entre was decent, but boar was more broken down (pulled?) than I prefer and so there weren't umami pops of flavor from chunks of boar... this is perhaps a preference difference. We had found a great spot. Woods Hill Table was a gem. *** THE BAD *** Fast forward through time and the last four meals have been a disappointment. For example, I brought a 15yr chef friend for steak tartar and frites and a cab franc... the plated dishes looked lovely but were pretty much room temperature, which makes the texture a challenge rather than a treat. Unknown if this is a heat lamp issue or room temp beef used in prep, either way the dishes were warm. Still better than the mayo puck served by a certain Boston Bovine eatery, but I was a bit embarrassed at having talked up the dish and made the arrangements. Decided it was an off night and would try again in the future: A few months later the tartar still looked lovely (a bit coarse) and WAS nicely chilled, but was tough chewing and imbalanced flavors. Still a lovely restaurant, but time to move on from the tartar I guess. *** THE UGLY *** Recently returned for a rare night out (kids do that) and the place is still packed with a charming but busy atmosphere. A charming, if busy atmosphere. Won't knock attentiveness to the table as a busy night is always tough. THE FOOD - very inconsistent I should have taken a salad as they looked elegant and ethereally fresh and light.. as if floating on the plates. On a cold winter night, I had a craving though, and was surprised that the fries were scraps... very salty... and oddly chewy and without crunch or crispness. Junk ENTREE - Icelandic Cod a la Plancha - a mess. - While the sauce was fantastic... light and sweetly complex, I wish the serving as a smaller/deeper dish with more sauce ... it was a highlight but chilled almost immediately in the unwarmed broad pasta bowl. - The blue roasted potatoes were not my thing, and I wish they instead had been little islands of puree that I would scoop with other bites or sauce. - "Jumbo lump crab" is flat out lie... forget visions of "jumbo lump crab" elegantly arrayed on that lovely sauce. You'll get a sweaty little shredded wad, tucked under the fish. - The fish... that poor Cod... was wildly overcooked and mushy. The seared crust was very thick and difficult to cut through and the mushy fish (overcooked or thawed too fast?) would squirt out from underneath. There were a couple of good bites farthest from the seared crust that faintly whispered of how delicate and flaky the filet should have been. TAKEAWAY: Don't order seafood at Woods Hill. Why so worked up about bad fish in boston (hardly rare)? With a cautious eye, the staff almost immediately asked after my first bite if the food was ok. Much like a sommelier sniffing the cork and imperceptibly wincing, but serving the wine and carefully looking to see if customers would notice that it's off. I replied the food was "OK" and continued to pick at the plate. We don't often get out for dinner these days and I didn't want my disappointment to spoil the experience for others. We had no time for the kitchen to remake it anyhow, and I no longer send food back; I cut my losses and find better spots. I hope things turn around. This could be a great spot again someday.

Today I gave it a try and felt that it was good in some areas and just ok in others. Overall the food tasted pretty healthy despite having pork belly and chorizo. The seasoning was definitely on the lighter side, where the french onion soup was tasting pretty close to an extremely light broth. Tried the cassoulet which I've heard of before but never seen on a menu. It was very hearty but also a but bland. Pulled pork and pork belly seemed to have zero salt. Duck leg confit also very bland. It was cooked well but just bland. The dishes with citrus were quite tasty. Beets and arugala salad very good, good quality goat cheese. Alligator chorizo grilled oysters surprisingly good. Never had alligator chorizo before but it was crispy and not fatty even though it resembled bacon visually. The oysters were small, even more small in comparison to the chorizo but it was a good bite. I would recommend skipping the clam chowder, french onion soup (not really caramelized onions to be honest), and the cassoulet unless you feel empowered to salt your own food. The clientele was definitely in the 60+ range. Nothing wrong with that obviously but tastes change with age and maybe thats why the seasoning was so light. Today there were just two wait staff for the whole place. Seemed understaffed and it took almost thirty minutes for food to come out. Waiting for the check took about fifteen minutes. Staff was nice but definitely overloaded. Today was a holiday though.

We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and I commented to ask if the special would still be on for that date. The chef/owner responded immediately that it would. Knowing specials often run out quickly, I called on the morning of the reservation, and a hostess said, yes, the special was still on. So we got there, we ordered, and we asked for the special -- the waitress said she'd confirm, and then came back and just said 'no, it was just for that day,' which was confusing. I explained that the chef and the hostess had confirmed that it was still on the menu and asked if it had run out -- again, understandable -- and she said it 'was just something we made for an influencer.' At that point, I didn't want to press the two 'no' answers, so we finished the dinner and moved on. I reached out privately after the fact as I wanted to see if there was a better way I could have communicated to the restaurant or asked for clarification, and asked if there was a better way to confirm information moving forward, and they never responded. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is equal parts cozy and enchanting -- dim lighting, chic décor, and just enough buzz to feel alive without being overwhelming. The Espresso Martini was pure wizardry: smooth, bold, and guaranteed to keep you wide-eyed through the night. A mixed drink rounded out the trio, each cocktail crafted with flair and a touch of mischief. The food was a playful parade of indulgence: * Tater tots that were crispy little golden spells. * Meatballs that packed a savory punch. * Sliders that were small but mighty, disappearing faster than you can say "Accio burger." * Goat cheese that was creamy, tangy, and downright addictive. * Raviolis that felt like little pockets of happiness. * caramel cheese cake was outstanding The staff? I also had some of a companion's order, this interesting sesame chicken dish with seaweed salad and a half avocado filled with sauce, which was different and I'm not really sure why it was there, much as I like avocado. The chicken tasted great and was the highlight of that dish. The menu is nice and varied, so I'd be curious to try some of their other dishes, like the pizza.
