We chose to do the pistachella and the bounty. They both featured Nutella and if that wasn't enough, one added crushed pistachios and the other coconut flakes. They were very tasty but very rich and between the two of us, we had to admit defeat before finishing them both. Happily, there are to go boxes to bring home any remainders. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order. There are high tables, the type that are found in bars, for those who want to eat their sandwiches there. The place is kept very clean.

Heirloom is the kind of place you almost want to keep a secret, but it's far too good not to share. Tucked inside a distillery and giving major speakeasy-meets-old-school-elegance vibes, this little gem is intimate, cozy, beautifully decorated, and effortlessly romantic. From the lighting to the seating to every little detail, the atmosphere feels thoughtfully curated without trying too hard. It's absolutely the kind of place I'd choose for a special date, anniversary, engagement, or even celebrating a business deal that just closed. And then there's the food... WOW. We started with the pork belly, tuna carpaccio, beef carpaccio, and Blue Bay mussels. Every single dish was fantastic, but the beef carpaccio stole the entire show for me. I could have ordered 20 of them. Seriously. The flavors were so beautifully balanced that I genuinely didn't want the plate to end. For our entrées, we had the glazed duck breast, cab filet, and Meyer lemon ricotta ravioli. The duck was cooked to absolute perfection. Two of us ordered the same dish, and it was literally rinse and repeat, both plates were executed flawlessly. Tender, flavorful, and just beautifully done. Even the cocktails felt elevated. Nothing was an afterthought here. The flavors, presentation, food, drinks, and ambiance all felt like they belonged to the same experience. Our waitress was also fantastic, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations without ever being pushy. That makes such a difference. Every bite felt like an experience. Heirloom has that rare combination of intimate atmosphere, sophisticated food, impeccable execution, and old-school charm that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy the evening. Absolutely beautiful restaurant. Absolutely delicious food. And absolutely worth a visit. read more

If you haven't stumbled upon Heirloom yet, let me tell you, you're missing out on a hidden gem tucked away in Open Road! This place is like stepping back into the past, with its charming speakeasy vibe that instantly makes you feel like you're in on a delightful secret. Let's talk cocktails because, oh boy, they know what they're doing! I kicked things off with the Gin Ricky--just $10 during happy hour--and it was a refreshing blast from the past! Then there was the Bramble, which was so perfectly crafted, it might just have changed my life. Now, onto the mixologists! These folks are not just knowledgeable; they're also a blast to chat with. They whip up drinks with a flair that's as entertaining as it is impressive. You'll leave with a smile and a few new cocktail ideas to impress your friends! And don't even get me started on the beef carpaccio. I mean, it was so thinly sliced it was practically an apparition on my plate! The seasoning was spot-on, making every bite a heavenly experience that I could eat over and over again. What started as a spontaneous decision to pop in for a drink turned into an unforgettable night at my new favorite spot. If you're looking for a place with great drinks, delicious food, and a fun atmosphere, Heirloom is your ticket to happiness. Trust me, you'll want to keep this little secret to yourself... but good luck, because you'll be raving about it to everyone! read more

Stumbled upon Heirloom tucked behind the bustling streets of Reston Town Center, this place is a hidden gem. The unmarked entryway leads to a cozy, upscale ambiance, perfect for a date night or a special family dinner. With dim lighting and striking artwork, the mood is set for an intimate experience. The service was impeccable - attentive but not intrusive, making us feel welcomed right from the get-go. Our kids were delighted with the mussels, served in a scrumptious broth that they couldn't get enough of, while the garlic bread was a table favorite. For the main course, the braised short ribs and Chilean sea bass were divine. The sea bass, in particular, was cooked to perfection, with carrot ginger puree adding a sublime touch. Although the dessert menu was succinct, the vanilla non-alcoholic cocktail was a highlight - an elegant end to our meal. Heirloom is indeed a culinary treasure. As an added bonus, their consideration for dietary restrictions and the ability to enjoy crafted drinks while the kids savored the sophisticated flavors made the evening memorable. Definitely returning to try the rest of the menu. read more

Step into Heirloom in Reston, VA and be transported to a world of "speak-easy" vibes. Our hostess, bartender, and wait staff were incredibly friendly and personable, making us feel right at home. The cocktails are stellar, with the Pretty Rye for a Chai Guy and the Vanilla mocktail stealing the show. Now, let's talk about the food. The foaccachia is a delightful start, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As for the pasta, the Bucatini and Crepe Manicotti are absolute winners, taking us on a culinary journey to Italy. But the pièce de résistance to our meal has to be the Surreyano ham with melon balls; the combination of the salty ham and the sweet melon creates a heavenly balance that will leave your taste buds dancing. Such a hidden gem and I mean that in the best possible way -- this is the kind of spot that feels like a personal discovery you want to keep to yourself but can't help telling people about. The scene is incredible, intimate and stylish without feeling pretentious, exactly the right vibe for a special occasion. The staff was attentive and genuinely warm from start to finish, the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without being hovered over. And the food? Amazing across the board -- every dish came out beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. We were there celebrating a birthday and they made the moment feel special without being asked twice. It took Crowe 2 days to respond. I guess they are on their own time to respond. Just like with their service. He said he talked to nazlie and "everyone asked for their check at the same time". So the GM insinuated its the customers fault. You have got to be kidding me! I cannot believe that such a "fine" dining place like this would provide a response. The room was very ornate, decorated with gold guilded pictures. Tables were adorned with fresh flowers and white linen. The cutlery was beautiful. The food too was amazing. First, the bread was to die for! It came out warm, crusty on the outside, and chewy on the inside, like french bread should be. A table next to us recommended the duck confit appetizer, and yes, it did not disappoint. The duck fell off the bone, and the depth of flavor was mouth-watering. The sauteed cherries and raisin/almond rice were the perfect accompaniment. My husband order foi gras, and yes, it was the lobe - not a terrine, not a tourchon. It was paired beautifully with poached pear and I believe some aged balsamic vinegard. For someone who loves foi gras, this took us back when more restaurants served just the sauteed lobe. My husband was not too fond of the carrots that were served with it, but he doesn't like carrots so that's that. We couldn't decide on the halibut or the scallops so Saeed offered to do the halibut with a scallop on top for us to try. What a nice idea. We both weren't into the scallop (I think maybe it was a little overdone, but it was tasty) but the halibut was the star, especially in the lemon/butte sauce. For dessert, Saeed recommended some simple berries, flambe'd tableside, with a side of ice cream. That was perfect, and again, Saeed indulged us with a small glass of port and slice of chocolate cake. Everything was amazing. So, if you want great French food and a warm and engaging staff, come to Cafe Renaissance. It's what I would call, APPROACHABLE fine dining without the pretence and snootiness. Thank you Saeed for making Christopher's birthday a special one. Can't wait to come back to try your other dishes on the menu.

The location will have to doubting yourself but once you walk in it is delightful. Attentive service, great wine menu and daily specials ensure there is something for everyone. Had the mushroom soup and French onion soup. Both very good. I've had better French onion soup but this was very good. Mains were Parmesan crusted cod and fettuccine with vegetables. Both very good. Portion size was just right. Free dessert of chocolate mouse and raspberry cake was welcome and added a nice touch to the meal. I would definitely come here again and think it's a great place to enjoy if you want upscale at a very reasonable price.

I wasn't a fan of chopt and other salad places so I was hesitant but I'm glad I tried this place out. This is my new go to place. I called because I couldn't find them on DoorDash and one of the workers was so kind to help me out and send me a link herself. I ordered THE RANCHER. And wow. Doesn't taste nasty at all haha it's so good it can definitely pass as a happy good meal. I plan on trying their quinoa bowl next. Hope it's just as good. The price is not cheap and not totally expensive so:T not bad. Haven't been to the store but when I'm in Chantilly I plan on stopping by with friends and cousins.

Private Event Service…read more Coordinated a client event with DeDee Kassa; according to her voicemail, I happened to connect with her the day she got back and she definitely hit the ground running. She was wonderful end-to-end. A menu of our client's preselected items was provided, as well as the main menu in case anyone wanted to order other items. There was also an abundant à la carte drink menu. Onsite in previewing the room, met a manager, Joy Funk, an absolute delight. It was clear our client would be in good hands. Update Edit: Our client gave shoutouts regarding the experience and the food & service were spot on! Appreciate you all, Jazz

Haha. The asparagus came out and it looked really good. The taste was a match! It was our first time and we weren't sure how things worked so let me help you out if you are reading this. A small plate is indeed a small plate of whatever you order. You can share to you cannot. But if you go the small plate route , you'll want to order between 3 and 4 items per person. The large plates are meals. The atmosphere was as expected. This would make a good date night. You could dress up or you could dress down. Either way, you'll be right at home. Our waitress Gabby did a great job and she was super helpful. My wife is allergic to rice so Gabby made sure to check with the chef about cross contamination and what was good for her on the menu and what not. Super appreciative of that. My wife tried two different sans spirits drinks. The espresso tonic. I tried it also. Big no! It has tonic espresso and grapefruit juice. Those did not vibe. We sent it back. She then tried the Purple Rain and loved it. All in all, it's a good spot and I'm glad we tried it. I think next time we will go exclusively with the large plates. The small plate route was kind of expensive for what we got and we didn't get a lot of food. We both actually left hungry. We are not drinkers but we accompanied two of our friends who are and they enjoyed the wine selection.

They reminded us about restaurant week, and made some excellent menu recommendations. The food truly is "comfort food". It feels like you are at a very elevated version of a backyard barbecue. All the dishes have a wonderful smoke flavor, without the smoke overpowering any of the other flavors. Every dish, from appetizers, mains, and dessert felt hand crafted and well seasoned. The decor is bright and airy, with large windows, comfortable seats, and fresh flowers at every table. I would definitely like to come back and try a few more menu items.
