Service varies based on who's working . I went to get a dress altered. It need to be hemmed, the…read moretop needed to be taken in, and so did the back and sides. (I was between sizes and sized up, so unfortunately there was a lot of work needed to be done). The woman who did the measurements (I believe her name was Wang), told me that I don't have to take in the top. I was almost arguing with her because the whole thing felt too loose and she insisted I just tie the back tighter (there's a decorative bow in the back). She tied the bow so tight it squeezed my back and my fat and skin was pouring over the dress, I felt and looked awful. After a lengthy discussion she pins the sides but still doesn't touch the top. Then she marks the bottom for the hem and has me change, only she literally pinned me into the dress. The pins crossed over the zipper so that the only way to take the dress off would be to take the pins out, unmarking the parts that had to be taken in. When I went to pick up the dress nothing was done. The sides felt like they were a bit better, but the top still felt loose and the hem was untouched. I knew this for a fact bc I had a photo of myself in the dress prior to getting alterations. The woman at the shop when I picked up the dress was blonde, and Wang wasn't there. I feel terrible writing a bad review because this blonde woman was completely mortified and did everything she could to make this right, including staying late past closing to get the dress done. The work the blonde woman did was amazing, and she apologized profusely for her coworker. TLDR; make sure the blonde woman does your alterations

I brought the pants to the Whiz and they were able to remove 100% of the large stain - the pants looked brand new. The team that works there is also very nice and friendly. Okay I'm not going to lie. It was my first time ever going to a laundromat. I always grew up with a…read morewasher/dryer at home or in my previous apartment, I had laundry machines in the basement. So it was a bit overwhelming to find out there's different size loads for different prices. One thing that I was disappointed in, was one of the large washers were out of service and there aren't that many large washers to begin with. I must admit the staff was SUPER helpful. The lady helped me with purchasing a new laundry card (I LOVE that they do a laundry card and not silly quarters). The gentleman later helped with explaining to me about their washing and folding services. I believe it was anything less than 10 lbs was $10. Anything more than 10 lbs, is $1/lb. So it took a little getting used to. Having to buy the laundry card, trying to figure out what size load I would need (tried medium at first but it didn't all fit so had to switch to large), and then figuring out the dryer machine (apparently it's $0.25/8 minutes). If you want a longer time with the dryer, you have to remove and re-insert the card (which will add another 8 minutes) and continue taking in and out until your desired time. The lady recommended 40 mins for a regular dryer load.

They try their hardest to take care of things but there have been occasions where they couldn't find our stuff for a few weeks. It eventually got sorted out but it was a little annoying. I think my biggest pet peeve with them is that they don't hold consistent hours. They say they're open from 7:30am - 8pm M-Sa, and 11am - 4pm on Sundays. I would say you have about a 60% chance of that being true. In fact, today, at 2:30 they are still closed. No sign on the door to explain why. It's very frustrating because I feel like I can't always count on knowing when they'll be open. I am thankful to say that I've never had clothes ruined or outright lost, and while they wait for you to come in before raising a concern instead of calling, they do seem to be very mindful of their customer's clothes. And truly, the owner is a great guy, very personable and friendly. I just really wish they could figure out their store hours.

The owner's wife charged me $25; that's fine, they charged me that on my last pair. While on the train, the husband calls me to tell me that it's $40 to clean them ... we went back and forth and I agreed because I do all my dry cleaning there; well I used to. I went to pick them on Holy Thursday before work and noticed the material had been damaged. The husband was there and after some negotiating he said to bring the receipt; clearly I had mentioned that the shoes cost me $165. That very day after work I went to purchase another pair and brought him the receipt. Now in good faith, I went in Good Friday morning to see them. I brought him the new pair so he can see the material as well as the black pair that I owe and I was wearing a purple pair. The husband wasn't there, the wife started yelling that we had agreed on 165$ and the receipt was for $180 ... yes there is tax on them but I would take the $165. She then went on to say the deal was with her husband so to come back. This past Tuesday I passed by again after work with a copy of the receipt of the new pair, dropped it off with the wife and she said her husband would call me when he finished up at the other location; as they have several. Today is Friday .... No phone call nothing. I went back just now to ask where my money was, the wife said " take your shoes, there's nothing wrong with them" I couldn't believe it ... after all this time, now they didn't want to give me anything.
