The food looks so delicious!! How is it that this place only has one review from a year ago? Also, why aren't there any prices on the menu?

I was expecting it to be prepared tableside like at the Huntington location, but I understand the space here is a bit smaller. Service is good though. We were greeted promptly by our server who was very courteous. He took our drink order promptly and we ordered the appetizer of chips and guacamole. They bring out chips and salsa for every table. We ordered the iron skillet the Birria, chicken tacos, and a Besito bowl. The Besito bowl with steak was absolutely delicious. I tried Birria for the first time and it was very tasty. The iron skillets came with tortillas on the side so you can make your own soft tacos and my kids said that they enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything phenomenal. We asked them to remove the chorizo, but both of the iron skillet came out with chorizo. They did immediately take them back and deliver them promptly, leads me to believe they just simply removed the chorizo and sent it back out. Overall, it was a good experience, if I ever am craving Mexican food I would visit. The only reason I took one star away is the guacamole was $16 and it was a really small amount for that price. Also, because I told the waiter several times that we do not eat any pork and specified that we do not want the chorizo. The ambience of the restaurant is nice, it is on the smaller side, small and intimate.

Something different than these pastry shop chana etc. First off Terry was unbelievable sweet & friendly. He went out of his way to be helpful & patient with me because I couldn't decide on Flavors or the amount. I guess I am old school or maybe just plain weird but I really like making the HUMAN connection when I am out & about.... I feel like people just aren't very socia anymore ....for a number of reasons . ANYWAY , if you have not been to AhugaPie Shop you ABSOLUTELY MUST GO. So I guess most people would equate a sugar pie to a Whoopie pie. These sugar pies are pretty big and a half of one is more than enough. Terry told me some people buy them and cut them in half and freeze them and take them out as they want them. Which I think is a great idea and is which what I did because I do not live nearby, but I would definitely drive to the end of the Earth for more. It's just one of those places. And I am not a big sweet person put the cake is just always soft and flavorful and delicious. And the filling is the right amount of the flavor and whipped cream and sugar. I think they have like 10 or so flavors available every day and they switch them around. I've probably tried five or six different flavors over the past two years and again all of them were very consistently delicious and amazing. I can't even explain it . It's just perfect. I've had them a few times before when a coworker brought them in. And I finally got a chance to go myself. I was so happy to share the experience with my family.. personally I love the chocolate cake with the peanut butter filling. So if your peanut butter lover, OMG go go go!!! . The product is very consistent. They do have a very specific hours. And as Terry recommended, it's always best to call ahead and either order , check the flavors of the day . & or the shop hours. It kind of blew my diet, but it was well worth it.. please go you will not be disappointed.. the only negative thing I can say about my experience is I wish I had bought a more of a variety of flavors. But that's on me l. Thank you Terry for your kindness - people like you restore my faith in mankind. and you make a dang good SHUGA PIE

I was a little hesitant after my first experience but they were listed in my LI Cafe Passport book I got for Christmas and I want to go to all the spots in that book even if I'm revisiting. My second experience was much better so I'm upping my review to 4 stars. The staff was nicer this time. I opted for a pour over because that's what the book recommended and I got the cherry vanilla latte as well with half and half. I was able to sit in the coffee shop because I had dropped my son off at a birthday party and had a little time before I picked him up. I caught up on watching Friday Night Smackdown before elimination chamber with headphones on of course so I wouldn't disturb other people and I finished a book I was reading. The seating was nice, an optional variety of different kinds of seats and lots of seating. The latte was very smooth, you could definitely taste the coffee more in the pour over but that was good, the coffee went down nicely, not a lot of bitterness. So Jack Jack's redeemed themselves in my eyes almost ten years after my first review and I would be able to recommend going to them. Babylon Bean will still be my favorite coffee shop in Babylon but both of them are nice to visit. Original Review: March 22, 2016 I came here after picking up my jacket from the dry cleaners. I didn't like it very much at all and am happy to say my heart and my business will continue to go to the Babylon Bean! The baristas did not seem happy at all when they helped me. They weren't rude but they weren't sweet or nice either. I chose a brownie to eat and got a cup of regular coffee. The coffee was okay, not horrid but for sure not great. The brownie was disgusting. I couldn't eat the whole thing ended up throwing it on the ground for the birds to eat. This place also has a hipster vibe, sometimes I can dig it but sometimes I can't. So in my personal experience if the babylon bean and this place had a throw down I would always favor the bean!

The drinks taste amazing and high quality. Also highly recommend the all day breakfast sandwich…read more The staff is always so kind as well! Wonderful ambience too!

We sat in their insulated outdoor area amidst string lights and beachy vibes, and every meal starts out with their addicting tortilla chips and salsa verde. (Pro-tip -- save some of this green salsa to have with whatever you order!) We tried their chicken flautas appetizer, and if you are a fan of all that is cheesy and crispy, you will definitely enjoy this one. My favorite item on the menu was next -- the Crunch and Munch ground beef taco -- this literally was an elevated version of Taco Bell's cheesy Gordita crunch, and it made me super happy. We also shared their shredded beef burrito (think barbacoa), which was a Saturday special, but honestly, any of their burritos would be worthwhile. (I dare say that the burritos also feel kind of light? They are not over-the-top in the best way possible!) If you're looking for a casual taco spot after a day at Robert Moses or Overlook Beach (or any day, really), definitely check this place out -- you will fall in love after the first flavorful bite.
