They came in and were warmly welcomed with "Go ahead, sit anywhere; we will be right with you." Unbeknownst to them, unfortunately, it was right as the team was switching in and out. The server, for one, was pouring wine for another table and had their table next. She came up extremely rude, asking for immediate service after being there less than 10 minutes. The server attended to them immediately, and with an amount of attitude you only get from a classic Karen, she decided to try and berate staff and act like they don't provide phenomenal service. I call bullshit when I see it, and her entire experience was made from her own ego and need to complain. Lies trying to make them look bad and just complain for complaining's sake. The staff here is nothing but welcoming, professional and friendly so if you had an issue its maybe you being non pleasant and expecting you to be the center of the world. Youre not

I took a chance on it because I remember going to the North Shore in Hawaii, and the food was amazing. I ordered the Ahi sandwich, and it was perfectly cooked. It was definitely sushi-quality Ahi tuna, and the onion rings--especially the sweet onion rings--were delicious. I want you to know that this is a really good spot. It's based on the North Shore in Hawaii, so it offers a little reminder of that. If you've been to North Shore Hawaii, you'll feel a bit of déjà vu. The atmosphere is nice, the prices are pretty good, and the service is friendly too. Stop by and check it out. Erika, our server, was #yhl. This is your friend Father Yahoul. WHEN: Tue @7pm…read more Located in a small plaza, while there is free parking, it's also quite limited with it being share with other business establishments. However, since we came at night time where most of them were closed, we got parking right in front. This spot is more of a take-away place, with 6 counter seatings indoors, and maybe 3 chairs right out front. This tiny burger spot seems to be run by just one person, so it helps that you can self-order at their kiosk. He was very attentive juggling between cooking the made-to order items, and check in on the costumers in case they had questions. After placing my order at their one device, it was roughly a 15 minutes wait. Here's what we ordered: CHEESEBURGER - $9.90 High-quality beef patty smashed with grilled onions, serviced on a toasted Martin's potato bun and topped with pickles and their fry sauce. I really enjoyed this rich tasting burger. I think that fry sauce was a huge factor...but also that soft bun...and that flavorful beef patty. I really enjoyed this. FRIES - $5.25 Golden Thing-Cut Fries. Perfect. I mean this was made to order so they were warm, crispy and so dang good! It's how fries everywhere should be! I was hoping to come back during my trip in LA, but it's okay, it won't be the last time I visit.

The crispy lace edges, the juicy center, the grilled onion, the slightly spicy sauce, the slightly sweet bun...all dreamworthy! Their sweet potato fries aren't all that great to look at, but omg, always perfectly cooked and salted! Perfectly complimented with the fry sauce. All that said, we were disappointed when we received our last order: 1. Packaging change (paper wrapped instead of cardboard box for the burgers) robbed the craveable edges of their crispness. Plus there was so much grease on the paper wraps it actually made it messier to eat than before. 2. The sauce has changed. The spice level increased (still not too spicy), but a side of sauce (which you pay more than a $1 for) is now sent in a premade branded packet. I have zero issues paying extra for a good sauce made fresh in-house, but instead of tasting like a fresh sauce made with mayo and spices, it now tastes of oil and spices and is not nearly as tasty. We noticed the difference on the burgers as well, so it seems like their sauce is all premade now and not nearly as good.

Hard to find a place doing it this good. This is my 8th LA smash burger and it's definitely a top three contender! The ratios were on point. The lemon pepper fries were killer. The bulgogi fries were strangely good for no one appearing to be Korean who worked there. Big fresh jalapeños on top with the perfect amount of sauce. GREAT home made pickles on the burger to offset the rich patty and cheese. The service was TOP tier. Took a little longer than most, but tasted better than most! So pick your poison! Great outdoor seating in a bar next door with its own brewery. They have a deal going so you can use that place. Sat in a cool outdoor patio area with fake grass and a nice fence. Nice shade. Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. The chef doesn't know it's a diner apparently. I had a lovely chicken piccata that was superb! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate clean, it was so good. Fare you'd expect from a nice Italian bistro. They have a devil's den full of desserts they make, too. I had a banana cream pie that was ridiculously good, along with an excellent coffee. They have a full coffee bar as well as the dessert bar. Service was terrific and the pricing was moderate for the quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large menu filled with American comfort food favorites. We have a ballgame to go to mid August. We are going to eat early dinner here before the game. Cannot wait to try their chicken pot pie!

If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

The sourdough for the patty melt is buttery and crispy as well, and the cheese is melty with smothered fried onions atop it all. It's a wonderful sandwich--I asked for mild spread, btw, but it's good, too. Also, the patty melt comes as double but get a third patty added. I think the patties are 1.75 or 2 oz so it's worth getting the extra meat. The service is relatively friendly. The ambiance is outdoor seating, so there is a lot of street noise. I'm not sure if they have a bathroom. And parking is on the street. Prices are kinda up there for a burger, but to me it's worth it. Keep in mind that smash burgers aren't typically juicy due to the smashing. But the sauce, onions, pickles, and other condiments are where you'll get "juicy" from. You get the smash for the crispy edges and onions smashed into the burger. But I'm not sure the onions are smashed in here, tbh. Give it a try. I believe you'll dig it.

Despite being so close to a seafood restaurant, I never expected one of my favorite shrimp dishes to come from here. I'm glad I took the chance. The shrimp were tender and full of garlic flavor, and the creamy white wine sauce was rich without being too heavy. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and the fresh tomatoes, basil, and Parmesan added just the right balance. The warm French bread was perfect for soaking up every bit of the sauce. This dish completely exceeded my expectations and has earned a permanent spot on my list of favorites. Basin 141 continues to impress with both its consistency and its willingness to surprise.

Sautéed Garlic Shrimp in a white wine cream sauce accompanied by perfect al dente spaghetti, tomato and basil with shredded Parmesan and French baguettes. A perfect combination that should be entered in a culinary contest, it was that good. Elliott was the wonderful server who paid great attention to us and while one of our favorite waitresses, Paige has moved on, there is another Paige who was wonderful to us. As Basin 141 turns to another Paige (sorry, I had to), we are as well and are seriously looking to move to Montrose as it's a wonderful town and with this restaurant in the same area, we could become frequent flyers. It may be best known as a bar because of their incredible selections, but this wonderful establishment is a fantastic restaurant with out door seating. We love the Basin 141 experience and will be back again and again.
