Additionally, the traps had no bait. When I contacted the business, he quit! The next day, they called back and acted like nothing was wrong. When I called them out on quitting, they said it was a language barrier. Really? The owner had no problem selling himself to me and setting up my program. I bought 8 rat traps for $40 and caught 4 rats the next day. I've caught a total of 7 rats and found where they were getting under my house. I filled the holes and the rats are gone, all for $50. They came in, inspected my yard, identified gopher tunnel entry points and laid traps inside the mouths of gopher tunnels and closed them with soil. Jaime was a thorough professional, took him less than 10 mins, came by two weeks later and asked me if i had seen any activity. I said no. He seemed pretty confident that he may have caught a few. He started removing the traps and sure enough he had caught two gophers. One in my front yard and one in the back. He removed all traps, disposed the remains and buried all holes. Over the next two years, we hired two different companies to perform full removal programs. Both claimed they had fully inspected the crawl space and eliminated all entry points. Unfortunately, when the rats came back, neither company honored their warranties. We then hired 3 Step Rodent Proofing. During their inspection of the crawl space, they found and documented with photos all of the entry points they identified and sealed. In addition, the service technician discovered a water leak and showed us exactly where it was located. We would have never known about this leak without the photos he provided. The first company I called, not Eagle, excelled in fear mongering and completely lied about the extensiveness of the rodent problem. I wanted to get another quote so I called Eagle. The operator on the phone was incredibly helpful and polite. She worked to ensure that an inspection could happen before the end of the week. Santiago came out, explained what was going on, what his company could and could not do. He also verified that the other company had straight out lied. (This was verified by a third company as well.) Santiago's team showed up a week later with 4 guys, they worked all day to seal any entries in both the attic and crawl space. They cleaned, disinfected and applied pheromone repellant. They then set traps with peanut butter. The crew lead by Sebastion was efficient, polite and helpful. They did a great job. I would highly recommend them and a friend has already used them as well. Eagle was not the most expensive nor the cheapest but provided a quality product and worth every penny.

Then I started waking up with small, itchy welts on my torso and legs. These welts would itch even more at night time. Using an AI chat service, my wife successfully identified the problem as rat mites, small arachnids imperceptible to the eye. Our landlord, thankfully, took our complaints seriously enough to look Into something beyond calling his "rat guy" and found Eagle Rodent. I'm glad he did because within a week Sebastian and his crew arrived and did a thorough inspection and cleaning of our basement and attic. All entry points for rats and field mice (identified by Santiago via their droppings) were excluded from our residence (a 1910s four-square style home). It takes three to four weeks for a serious rat mite infestation to die off and foggers seemed to bring us the rest of the way there. As of this writing, we have yet to hear any rodent activity. A few traps were left behind after a follow-up visit in which several rat carcasses were found in the first round of traps.
