We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the donuts at Heavenly!! They get a 5 star rating today for excellent, over & above, customer service!! I placed an early order yesterday so i could be sure to get some apple fritters, they go quickly, and I'm forever missing out! Not this time! I have been craving these fritters for weeks! Been trying to restrain my sugar addiction but couldn't take no more!! I ordered a Heavenly dozen too, just so we could have pleanty for a few days! I could barely contain my excitement when Doordash delivered my treats, only to discover that there were NO FRITTERS!dundundun Needless to say i was not a happy girl! So, i sweetly called Heavenly to find out what happened, the Dasher left them behind!! I mean, come on! You got one job dude!....but i digress...i tried not to whine but i think it came out as a whine that i was soooo disappointed and is there any way to still get them?! At first..no...but just as i was about to accept my fate, one of the guys stepped up and said he would bring hem to us!!! Yaaay!! Things were looking up and the end of the world was put on hold for another day!! Then to top it off, they gave me extra ones and all had just been cooked so they were warm & fresh!!! I received absolutely the worst service I've ever gotten coming to this location today. Was trying to order donuts for a morning birthday breakfast and the lady at the drive-through was blunt, completely rude, and would substitute my order for things I didn't ask for. She came back to the door with an attitude because I didn't want the donuts she substituted, because mine weren't available. A smile and an apology for not having the donuts would have went a long way, and I likely would have bought the substitution donuts. Their selection is good and tasty... however, the gentleman that's running the show in the evenings is a total D-bag and likely driving away all the business. We've gone in twice and the same sour faced gentleman is there. Both times, rushing and giving us attitude while we try to decide what we would like to order e.g., " is that all, do you know what you want." Just stopped through to get my kids some donut holes to munch on while our car got serviced and they were moldy! I ate one and they were hard and crunchy but I figured since it's almost 11 they had just been sitting there a few hours and then when I started to separate them for my girls and they were covered in little mold spots. Stopped in on our way out of town at 5:30am. The lady who helped us was friendly and chatty. I appreciated starting my day with such a cheery person! Although it's not the best donuts I've had, Heavenly Donuts is definitely my choice for the Redding area. There are many different varieties and toppings, both cake and yeast kinds. The yeasts are soft and fluffy, and the frosted topped ones have good flavor. I also like their cinnamon swirl donut and the old fashioned ones. The buttermilk bars are kind of small. Another thing that keeps me coming back to Heavenly is their dozen deal. A "dozen" here is actually 14 donuts total. I was hungry, I was staying next door, I didn't really check reviews as I was just looking for dessert. I got what I deserved (pun). It's better than Dunkin, but so is leftover horse feed. It's not even as good as Krispy Kreme. I got a chocolate/coconut one, lemon filled, and a pineapple fritter. At least the pineapple one showed some imagination. The lemon donut tasted like melted Jolly Rangers, and the chocolate one, I don't even recall it having chocolate flavor at all. It's not even that cheap. I'm not faulting this location for being in the middle of remodeling or only having one employee to man both drive-through and walk-up windows at 10 PM. This rating is just for the donuts themselves. This is literally the worst place to go to! I came in the morning for coffee, donuts and ice water. After I pay for everything, he hands it all out and I noticed that the water cup I asked for was full of ice, no water. I handed it back and asked him if he could add water to it. He brings back the SAME CUP and says I now owe him $1.39 for the water. How does that make sense? It was free when it was a cup of ice but all of a sudden now that water is added it's $1.39? Came here during my drive through Redding. As soon as you walk in the smell of the donuts is amazing and all donuts are on display and look delicious! However, it was horrifying to see that none of the workers (bakers who were making the donuts included) nor customers here were wearing masks. Seems almost selfish as they are not thinking about the risk they are imposing on others during this pandemic. Unfortunately I had to leave after witnessing this i really hope this place holds itself to better/higher health standards. Would love to try donuts in the future. read more

The donuts are just a slight cut above the supermarket variety. I think they use the same icing ( doesn't taste homemade). Which would be OK. They have a big city type gimic: staying open all night plus drive through ( a little unnecessary). The coffee is also not great. But the reason they get 2 stars is I ordered a chilla, and it was awful so I asked for a small coffee instead. Not only did they not refund the difference but the cashier said loudly and within my earshot "what a waste!" That's how I feel about the $3.69 I spent on my drink. I went by this afternoon at the drive up. I had to repeat my self several times that I wanted a Ice Coffee without sugar & no cream. I also order a chocolate cake donut. Got the window & the young man again ask me how many sugars in my coffee. I again told him I wanted no sugar or cream just coffee with ice. So he hands me a bag with my donut but it wasn't what I order ...it was a plain cake donut with chocolate frosting NOT a chocolate cake donut & I have gotten it many many times before at your shop. I told him this isn't what I ordered & then he said to me "your being rude & I don't have to serve you". I told him I'm not the one being rude you are as your arguing me over what I order. I love this place! I live way out in Hayfork and we always stop by this place heading back home from Redding. They have the best donuts around! Hands down. Always fresh and delicious, staff are always super friendly and always have a good chat. They deserve more 5 star ratings. The place is not dirty, and no they don't have a Covid approval sticker. After sitting at the kiosk for several minutes with no answer, I drove up to the window and knocked. After they didn't come to the window, I called on the phone but no one answered. I called a second time and no one answered. So I drove around the corner and saw that the displays were all stocked with fresh donuts, but not a single person was inside.
