They were very kind and patient with me and took the time to really explain everything - unlike most other shops I've been to here that'll take advantage of those who aren't well versed in auto mechanics and what not... I was frustrated with many of the big name auto shops around here, I absolutely dread having to take my car into the shop and how much anxiety I'd have wondering how much this was ACTUALLY going to end up costing me or if a mechanic might accidentally break something in my car that's expensive to fix and have to wait days for a certain part they have to always order and how much money that would be, what if they really mess up and cause severe, expensive damage to the car? These are questions rattling in my head every single time because of so many bad back to back experiences at different auto shops in town. So, when I was researching places in town when it came down to needing an oil change again, I was hesitant and unsure of where to go. After calling around, I decided to try Heaths. They were kind, patient, and helpful on the phone and I could just tell they were friendly people from how they spoke with me on the phone. I explained to them the issues my car still had because of the previous experiences at other auto shops, and needing JUST an oil change. They were understanding. At the end, they printed out the different things that they found that should be addressed soon, even put in timeframes for when I should start looking into it. They didn't break anything and they only did the oil change as asked and the other routine/typical things they do. They listed the prices next to the issue they listed on the paper they gave me, which I really appreciated because I expressed to them how frustrated I was with auto shops and not having transparent pricing - like, people will still pay what they need to pay, just list the amount you're asking for next to the service requested - just be upfront. So I really appreciate that and when I'm in a better financial situation to address the issues they listed, I will definitely be going back. I can actually see how much to expect to pay so I can start adjusting my current budget accordingly to fit that goal of getting needed work done on my car. The BEST part - when I left, I went to go pick up my child from preschool. When she climbed up to her seat, there sat a little teddy bear with a Heaths Auto Shop T-shirt on her car seat, buckled. We would give this place zero stars if we could. My aunt and uncle live here in Prescott. They're retired and living on a fixed income. They received a mailer that advertised free inspections for any vehicle. My uncle is really good with cars and he's actually the one who told the service guys what was wrong with his car before they even analyzed it. Heath then made the repairs on the truck, but then added on the cost of the inspection- after it was advertised it would be free. My uncle argued with the girl up front, Trinity, and she finally refunded their money, but it was a fight for it. So unnecessary. So rude. Never again! read more

Took my Van in for the FREE A/C checkup because A/C stopped working. Later the first day they called to tell me to tell me a full diagnostic and an estimate to repair would cost $210 and they needed to keep the vehicle overnight. Next morning I was told the A/C compressor needed to be replaced because it was not working (DUH!) as well as the low pressure line at a cost of aprox. $2500. Seemed like a lot because I looked up the cost of those parts and it was under $250. I thanked them and said I be there around 1:00 to pick up my Van. I did not receive a detailed estimate of the $2500. So much for FREE A/C checkup. read more

They charged me $270 to tell me that my compressor on my auto air conditioning was shot. They said they had to charge it first to be able to tell that the compressor needed to be replaced at $1500. What a ripoff for a disabled old LE Veteran who has spent his life serving others at no cost. read more

Heath's Auto and RV Repair in Prescott, Az., does not stand by their work. This shop replaced the front rotors, brake pads, bearings and races on both front wheels of our motor home. Within 246 miles of retrieving the vehicle, both front bearings failed causing the brake components to fail due to excessive heat, leaving the vehicle with considerable additional damage and undrivable. Their insurance only paid out $1821.70 because of faulty work leaving us with $7790.98 to pay out of pocket in order to have the shop that we were towed to release the RV to us. Heath's have not responded to any of our phone calls or written correspondence. It has been 5 months. They have no intention to stand by their repairs or settle their financial responsibility to us. We suggest you take their lack of business ethics seriously before considering them to work on your vehicle. read more

We had such an incredible experience with this shop! Particularly with Trinity, she was absolutely incredible! We had car trouble while out of town, which is already the worst, and this shop was seriously a lifesaver. From the start, they were kind, honest, and super easy to work with. They explained everything clearly, and went above-and-beyond to make sure we were taken care of, especially given our situation. You can tell they genuinely care about people, not just fixing cars. We're so grateful we found them when we did. If you're looking for a trustworthy, professional, and genuinely good-hearted team, this is the place to go. Could not recommend them more! read more

I requested a quote for brake pads and rotors for my 2018 Chevy Silverado F ton and was quoted $1000 so I did them myself for $200! I received a rather snarky have a good day when I told the girl that that wasn't going to earn my business then she hung up! read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option. Warning - stay away! I went in to get an estimate for fluid flushes. Their response was that they needed to see the car for the VIN. Went back in for the same thing with the VIN. Their response was that they needed to inspect the vehicle. That is total horse hockey. No one else requires an inspection to simply give an estimate. Will never take another vehicle to Heath's Auto Service. Totally non-existent customer service. They must have way too much business to refuse to give an estimate. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I first called them to ask a few questions and ask if they would charge to test my alternator for me. There's a guy that picked up the phone who said no they wouldn't charge me and come to find out he didn't even know what he was talking about. I show up in person. Trinity, a woman that was working the front desk. Tried to state that they would charge me just to look at it and then also wanted to keep my car overnight just to answer some simple questions that any other shop could've answered in an hour or so. Trinity was very rude. Had a horrible attitude honestly worst service ever and was snobby when I went to go pick up my car. I would never recommend this place to a friend. They tried overcharging me for a part that cost $150 on AutoZone. I say save your money and don't give business to a business with crappy attitude. read more

The work that was performed on my vehicle resulted in total failure in no more than 20 miles of driving upon getting my vehicle back. After nearly catching fire, had it towed back to them only to be told it would now be even more $ to fix. Had just given them $2000. What would you do at this moment? They then offered only a partial refund so long as I sign a non-disclosure agreement. Total failure on all levels. Avoid this place at all costs! read more

What a rip off! I was charged $400 to do an estimate on an ambulance to fix a rear A/C, find a power draw and fix an inverter. I was told the A/C was contaminated and would need replaced and that everything would be $3000 and could go up from there. I picked the vehicle up and took it to Action Auto who fixed everything for $650. Do NOT take your vehicle to Heath's!!! read more

Just called up and had the pleasure of chatting with Sarah about getting a simple ballpark estimate for a valve job. I carefully explained the exact issue and mentioned, in painstaking detail, that my truck is essentially a 6,000-pound driveway ornament right now, but apparently, Heath's prefers vehicles to teleport in for a mandatory 15-minute inspection. Meanwhile, two other shops effortlessly threw out ballpark quotes like candy from a parade float. Guess Heath's is playing hard-to-get--sadly, I'm not feeling flirtatious today. read more

Driving from CA to visit friends in Prescott our 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee's AC went out when we drove through Parker, 10 am, AZ Saturday morning, July 27, 2024. This is the 3rd time the AC has gone out. I could not get into the Dealership in Havasu until the following Wednesday. All the shops that were open on Saturday refused to accept our extended warranty and deal with a third party. We decided to leave early Sunday morning to avoid the 114 temperature. When we arrived in Prescott to our friends house they recommended Heath's Auto repair to fix our AC. I called them the next day and, Monday at 8 am and they said they would work with our extended warranty company, Century, and to leave the car with them. The warranty company tried to force Heath's to put in aftermarket parts but Heath's pushed back and got us MOPAR parts! Dan the service advisor at Heath's was awesome in setting realistic expectations and kept us informed on what was going on with the car, dealing with the insurance company and sourcing the original parts from the local Jeep/Dodge dealer. Our car took a couple of days to get everything lined up and put back together. I can't give a higher recommendation to an auto repair shop. Dan & Heath's Automotive Repair was awesome to deal with! The AC worked great on the ride back to Parker where it was 109 on the way back. Mike C. read more

As a disabled veteran I do not expect special treatment, but I do expect to be treated fairly. Heath's Auto service tried to charge me $250 for an oil change, tire rotation and cabin filter for my 2018 Toyota highlander. They also came up with a list of needed service that totaled $3,688. This is absolutely the worst auto service I have experienced. Stay as far away from these people as you can. read more
