While visiting friends in Prescott, we took our Audi A6 to Twin Lakes Auto to have the rear brakes checked because they were making noise. Josh and Jen were amazing. Not only did they find our brakes were fine but found the cause of the noise. It turns out we had a screwdrive kick up from the road and was scaping the inside of the wheel. Josh said he had seen a lot of things but never this before. We were treated so well. I would highly recommend you take your vehicle to Twin Lakes Auto if you need any automotive service. They are such great people and will treat you fairly and provide such value to their clients. Can't say enough good things about Twin Lakes Auto Service read more

Josh is by far the best and honest mechanic you will ever come upon. Stay away from dealers and save a ton of money.

New AC unit put in my 2015 Nissan rogue select. They quoted me over a bit over $900 which I thought to be accurate. When I returned to pick up my car, they informed me they found a cheaper part new this the price went down to a bit over $800. I've never been charged less that what I agreed to pay so I'm very impressed with their honesty and good service. Will use them again and if only all companies were as honest and ethical! read more

Definitely recommend. I just moved here from California and I'm still amazed with how nice people are in this town. I've never been treated with so much respect at any auto service like here. Josh and Jennifer were so nice! thank you guys again!! read more

We took car in and got an estimate. We decided to get a second estimate elsewhere. When I called back, they refused to work on our car because we "second-guessed" them. We advise people to go elsewhere. I guarantee that if we had gotten estimate elsewhere first, they would not have been so thin-skinned. read more

Great service. The staff and owner treat my wife with respect, which is not a given at many auto service companies.

In town for a few days when all of a sudden my AC started to blow warm air. Went straight to yelp and found Twin Lakes, they're yelp is in great order with ppl praising not only their prices but the overall experience. Glad I choose them, I did call other Prescott auto places, but again, I'm glad I chose them. They quoted my recharge for my freon, and they came in under cost (their initial quote was better than the other auto shops I called). Not to mention the two fellas working there were super dope. Side tip: the BBQ place next door (Montana BBQ) is super delicious and worth a try whilst you wait. read more

I have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with 35 inch off road tires. Bill's shop was recommended to me by a few friends. Took my Rubi over for a 5 wheel tire rotation. In addition to the rotation, they checked out the underneath skid plates and suspension components for proper tightness. They cut off the remains of retractable step. When it was time to settle up the bill, he only charged me $15 Honest, professional and capable. read more

Bill is THE best. He's not there to empty your bank account. He's there to fix your car to drive safe and secure. Don't go anywhere else - trust me. read more

Fully trustworthy! Best in Prescott! I am overjoyed with the service I received here. I first took my truck to the Toyota dealership where they quoted me a $780 service to replace a hub and breaks after charging me $128 just to diagnose. When Toyota said it would take a week to work on my truck I decided to get a second opinion. Thank god I did! When I brought my truck here Dave was so friendly and assured me that even though they were very busy, they would find a way to fit me in. The next day dave called to tell me that after taking a look there was nothing wrong with my hub. They changed my breaks, bearings, checked my lines and did an oil change for under $150! When I came to pick up my truck Dave walked me through how to properly operate my 4wd and lock and unlock my hubs. He also took time to go over a maintenance plan for keeping my truck in top condition. Throughout my entire experience Dave treated me as if I was a family member or friend rather than just a customer. If your looking for someone extremely knowledgeable, affordable, that you can trust this is the place! read more

I am new to Prescott Valley, so when my Jeep would not start I needed a good mechanic. I checked out yelp and found Bill at Twin Lakes. He was great! Fixed the problem and changed the oil got It back to me in one day, all for less than $110.00. I found a good honest mechanic in my new home town. I could not be happier. read more

Coming off the mighty Route 89A, we got a dashboard alert that we had a low tire. We pulled to the side of the road and discovered a fast leak - a nail! Twin Lakes Auto was the first shop off of the 89A, so we stopped. Not sure of the mechanic's name, but he quickly came out and helped us. They do not do tires, so the help was minimal - he aired our tire up - and referred us down the road to Discount, said to mention them and they would hook us up. We were coming from Sedona, from Los Angeles, and really had no clue what was where in Prescott. They gave us directions to the 69, and to Discount Tire. THANK YOU!!!! read more

Bill and his crew are terrific. Has treated me quickly, fairly and has never gouged on price.

Was visiting town from Colorado for a few weeks. My broken A/C made for a very uncomfortable trip, and my local shop hadn't been able to fix it despite two attempts and $160. Bill had it diagnosed before looking at it, and fixed in about an hour, saving me the $1000 my local shop had estimated. I couldn't be happier about taking my Subaru there! read more

There are no words that can truly convey how great Bill is.. but here are a few. Honest, Integrity, Forthright, Punctual, Gracious, Experienced and knowledgeable. I think that is a good start. read more

I second the review of Bill's character. He is a find as a human being. Add to that twenty plus years experience as a dealership mechanic, so that he has the skills to diagnose and fix even esoteric problems. The Twin Lakes Cafe is a great place to eat, also, and his gas prices are good. read more

I am from out of town, and you guys provided me with an excellent consultation. You did not try to sell me anything. You told me exactly what I needed to do. You did it quickly, and you were actually friendly. We went down the street to buy tires, and were then on our way. Thank you so much for helping me out! read more

It is nice to know that there are still fair and honest auto technicians out there. I have been going to Bill and his crew for years now. I was taught growing up to. "Do it right the 1st time or don't do it at all". And that's exactly what Bill and his crew does. They will diagnose your vehicle's problem and make sure that it's fixed correctly. They don't throw parts at it when it doesn't need it. They will contact you if they find your car or truck needs additional work before performing it. Their prices are very fair And their quality of work speaks for itself. In my opinion, Twin Lakes Auto Service Is the best there is in the Prescott area. read more

I found Bill and his repair shop as he was setting it up after leaving the dealership. My daughter needed some repairs to her car and I can no longer do them. I found him to be straight forward, honest and reasonable with his charges. He gets the work done on time and is much cheaper than taking your vehicle to the dealership. read more

I couldn't agree more with the other two reviewers. Bill is truly the best mechanic I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. He is honest, fair and completely knowledgeable in his field. When I get my bill at the end, it's usually less or exactly what he quoted me initially, never more than I was told. Where have you ever experienced that with a mechanic shop? I will never take my car to anyone else in town. I highly recommend his services to anyone who is currently dissatisfied with their mechanic. You wont be disappointed! read more

The reviews are true. I'm from Scottsdale and visiting Prescott for 1 month. Had an issue with my car and found Twin Lakes Auto by chance. So grateful. Bill is literally the most honest mechanic I've ever been to. If I lived here I would always come to Twin Lakes Auto. Can't thank him enough. Highly recommend! read more

On Friday, 12-19-14, I had the opportunity to visit Bill Benson at this excellent repair shop. I was en route to California from Texas and had stopped in Prescott to visit family. The night before I was to leave for CA, my engine light came on. Fearing the worse, I spent the evening searching for reputable service centers in the area. Fortunately, I read good reviews about Twin Lakes Auto Service and called them about my problem. Bill was very helpful over the phone and encouraged me to bring my car in for analysis. I did so first thing in the morning and he scoped my car to determine the problem. He determined that my problem was most likely being caused by the freezing weather and the SAE of my oil. Story short, he was able to clear the problem codes and get me on my way to CA. He felt the problem would not return due to the warmer weather there and so far he was spot on. The amazing part is he did not charge me for his time or diagnosis. He was a tremendous help and I would highly recommend this shop for an honest evaluation of your mechanical problem. Thanks Bill!! read more
