Flat tire with broken stud , they fix the tire with suggestion to replace all the studs all around and show me a picture of leaking oil on my shocks. Total suggestion price was $3000. They generate the suggest maintenance by AI I believe and keep pushing aggressive sale tactics. I went to Honda after a repair at "big O tire "they check the shocks and struts and nothing was leaking. I'm sure they're doing a good job just have to be an aware of their sales tactics . $1200 tire repair, WE took our 2008 Lexus LS 460 in for 2 rear tires that had slow leaks, of course they where not fixable and the front tires had aged out so we went for the recommended new set of tires. That was all good, but when we got in the car to leave there was a strange knocking sound coming from under the dash and the climate control was not working. A whole group of techs and managers came out to look at it and concluded that it was not there fault and nothing could be done. So now we have a car with no heat or defrost or AC , that had never had any problems before and will probably cost an additional $1500 to fix. Should have just kept putting air in the tires I guess. We have 8 vehicles and looks like they have lost all our business for life Hope it was worth it. read more

2021 RAV4 - This last service they told me the cabin air filter needed replacing and I told them I would do it myself. When I opened the compartment the tab on the cabin filter cover was broken as well as the latching mechanism. Big O are the only ones who have been servicing it so they broke it but didn't bother to tell me. Then I lost a wheel cover driving a day later because they apparently did not put it on correctly after removing the wheels. Previously I had them replace my brakes, the broke a caliper assembly during the process and sat in the shop for 2 days waiting for the part - no compensation. Then the rear brakes wore out after 9 months and they charged me $500 to replace them (gave me free parts but still charged for labor). read more

They told me they had the tires I wanted in stock. I asked more than twice if I needed an appointment and was told, no. It would be no problem, just come on in. So, I bring my car in at the agreed upon time, although not a reserved time, for new tires, plus some other work and am told the only thing they have in that size in stock is a tire costing twice as much. I also brought it in for a broken belt. I knew exactly what needed to be done and told them so. They still charged me $120 for a diagnostic fee and then charged me $145 labor to install on belt on top of that, plus parts. At that time, they also tried to con me into some obviously unnecessary repairs, because something "might" go wrong in the future if I didn't. What utter BS They originally charged 3x what should have been. I talked them down to 2x. I didn't have much choice given my car was disabled and I wasn't going anywhere else without a tow truck. They figured they had me over a barrel I guess. This used to be my go-to shop. Not anymore. read more

If you have a trailer tire you need fixed might as well go else where. They will send you to the side of the building and forget about you for an hour and a half. Paid for my 4 new tires & service one day prior to receiving said tires & service. Upon arriving, I was instructed to wait, and wait I did... For 5hrs!! They had their money, so servicing my vehicle was of zero interest to them, despite me being promised a day earlier to be in & out within 30mins if I pay in full now~ I have since learned not to pay until service has been rendered... would not repair tire,stating punture was too close to side wide. Having been in the business as an owner I asked to look at the tire.The photo I have of the punture is clearly two inches away from the sidewall. The assistant manager told me it is up to the technician to make the call if the tire can be repaired or not. They would not do a repair. But we can sell you a new tire, but it won't match so we can sell you two tires!! That way one side will match. I didn't have a choice if you do shop elsewhere. My husband needed an alignment. He had purchased the tires from Big O previously, and was entitled to one free alignment. He left the car. An hour later, they called to tell him he needed $2,400 worth of work for two new front tires, an alignment, and repair of rack and pinon and other stuff. The car was worth $3,500. He picked up the car and took it to his regular mechanic, who said there was nothing wrong with the car aside from needing an alignment and two new front tires. He referred us to other shops. Was having a free alignment check and low n behold they found a outta align castor. Has they fix it while the checking and got it done for $152 before veteran discount. Gets a 1 year free alignment checks and adjustments if necessary at no charge. Service adviser said 20-30 mins to get it done. So not a long wait. IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO NATURAL MADE LATEX, for those whom are, will most likely already know it's in all tires, they will not allow you to stay in your vehicle like many other service depts/repairs such as Discount Tires will do while working on your vehicle. They, Discount tires have not tires in their stores just in case you don't know like many other tire stores, plus Discount allow you to stay in your while they are servicing your vehicle. This is not meant to advertise for Discount but just a example. They, Big O does provide chairs outside the lobby for you to use, so I'd be prepared, depending on weather to make sure your ready for such weather. Overall I have no complaints about the Prescott location but not in favor of the Prescott Valley location. Iv had bad dealings with the Prescott Valley location on several other services before. After being a loyal customer for years, I have recently lost all trust and respect. Upon employing them for a routine maintenance I was given a written estimate for several hundred dollars of items they stated needed replaced. I immediately took my car to the dealer whom after a full inspection of my car stated it was in perfect condition and none of those items needed replaced . I then drove back to Big O to question the mechanic who thinks they do need replaced. After hearing all this, I found they had not even rotated my tires and I was lied to .. After being called out on the lie, I requested they actually do the rotation as promised and felt the service tech was not happy .. No apologies for any of his lies or ? miscommunications. Integrity and respect are a must and I feel I have lost both today . read more

So I'll start at the beginning. The first time I took my truck in to get a quote on new tires and an alignment. They informed me that I needed rear brakes done also. So as per usual I go get a second opinion and turns out I did indeed need new rear brakes. The next time I took my truck in for an alignment and something else I can't remember they told me that I needed front brakes replaced at 45k miles so I did what I do and took it for a second opinion and turns out my front brakes are fine. They quoted me over a thousand dollars for new pads rotors and brake flush. Imagine if I didn't take it for a second opinion. I'd be out a thousand bucks for no reason. Today I had a free tire rotation coupon and figured I'd use it so I take it in and after a while they came and told me that I needed new rear brakes again showed me some shotty picture of the pads that they took and said they are shot. My truck now has 65k miles on it. So in 20 thousand miles my new rear brakes are gone I think not. This time I figured I'd do the inspection myself went home and took my brakes apart and guess what they don't need to be replaced. The whole quote they gave me today was for $2,600 dollars!!! I was incredibly stressed about that being that it is allot of money. Again 800 of that was for brakes that I don't need. I was also told I needed brakes for another car and like an idiot let them do it.... 800 bucks now I'm even wondering if I really needed them. Regardless though it's blatantly obvious that this shop is full of incompetent hustlers that are hell bent on taking advantage of peoples ignorance. My suggestion is to never take your vehicle here go somewhere reputable and leave this place in the dust. What they are doing is theft, misleading and so unbelievably reprehensible. I have attached photos of the brake pads they claimed have 3mm of pad left and that was an immediate need of replacing. Also for the owner that leaves generic replies don't bother on this buddy your employees are crooked and this is even with new people at the sales desk so I'd be willing to bet that your the one authorizing these shady business practices read more

Exercise caution when dealing with Big O Tires, as their business practices appear questionable. We took our vehicle in for a tire inspection due to a slow leak. Before we knew it, they informed us that the issue was severe and that all four tires required replacement. Furthermore, they claimed that our alternator was faulty and draining the battery, necessitating replacement of both. Consequently, the estimated repair cost escalated to $3,800, whereas our initial intention was solely to repair a tire. We knew we had one bad tire and agreed to purchase two front tires only, which they quoted at $169 each, out the door. However, the final bill totaled $444, with no warranty, because we declined the alignment they insisted was necessary. Moreover, they installed the tires intended for the front on the back instead. Their practices seem to prioritize their interests over the customer's needs. They definitely are only out to make money not to help the customer!! We will never go back!! read more

Given multiple chances. They broken oil filter cover on Audi and oil leaK HUGE ALL OVER ENGINE BAY. I had to get replacement because they couldnt get it in timely manner. Then they had the nerve to try and make me pay for refilling oil and I had to pay for broken filter cartridge. Then I Got tires and they neglected to put starting mileage on receipt so when tires wore out after half the guaranteed mileage warranty I had no way to prove it so no prorated refund which cost me multiple hundreds. Then the service advisor tried to tell me that I needed wheel alignment EVERY year. They SUCK. Since new owners a few years ago they have taken a horrible nosedive. These guys saved me time, money, and both aggravation and desperation. At my last oil change the tech at another shop said it looked looked one of my tires was cracked... which shocked me because the car isn't all that old (2019 CrossTrek) and the tires shouldn't be THAT bad. Turns out I had one relatively new and 3 old tires, one with a slow leak. Without hesitation, the tech offered the choices and suggested the Big O store brand which we're competitive with other name brand tires; so I agreed! I asked if they offered first responder or military/vet discounts which he said not on the tires but on the other services, an alignment, he could. The quoted time was 1.5 hours but I think I was there about 45 from start to finish. All I can say is WAY TO GO Big O! You earned yourselves a repeat customer and I'll be telling everyone! read more

Manager Bryan "matched Costco deal" on 4 tires a couple of years ago, recently I had a road hazard damage on one of the tires which requires a purachase of a new one. Costco includes road hazard insurance in their price for at least 3 years, Bryan does not. Be careful about the details, this business may match the price, but not what is included in the price. Compare apples to apples, not to oranges. I will never have any services done at this place again, I just do not like false advertising and being lied to. read more

Have had several issues with this location now. Telling me things are broken or worn out that when I check them or have another mechanic check them are totally fine. Have also heard the same from other patrons of this location. Also question whether they do the service that they say they are going to. I have a lifetime alignment through them, from years ago when they seemed trustworthy. I was told that it was going to take several hours to get my vehicle in and get it done, 35 minutes later I got a call saying it was done. Maybe great service, but with the other issues I am not so sure. I would suggest avoiding this Big O Tire location. read more

We were stranded with a "death wobble" situation on a company truck while in Prescott. We brought it to Big O and they said the truck needed all new struts and shocks plus an alignment. Given the situation we were in it was approved to do the work. After two months we noticed the front tires cupping and wearing completely uneven so we took it to the local dealer. The dealer stated that whoever did the struts and shocks did not do them correctly and put to low of capacity shocks on the truck. We called Big O asking them to warranty their work from two months ago and almost $2k in charges. Their answer was "if you read the fine print, there is zero warranty on commercial vehicles" This is a Nissan 2500 van. So even though they put the incorrect parts on they are going to fall back on zero warranty.... We will definitely never use them again and will spread the word through the community about how they conduct business. read more

After comparing prices on new tires I decided Big O gave the best value. Their prices included hazard repair and replacement, installation and discard fee that many others added. Currently the sale offers buy 3 get one free which was a terrific deal. The location is in walking distance of many shops and restaurants so waiting for the service was painless.
