We have been using Hearts Pest Management for 10 months. Because of chemical sensitivities, I had avoided the use of any pesticides in our backyard. After 15 years, we were overrun by ants and spiders. Hearts comes out once a month in the warm months and every other month in the cool months. They use a product that is safe for me and for our cat once it dries in 20 minutes time. It has a natural, herbal like smell. We no longer see ant trails anywhere around our backyard. If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. I want to start by saying Duc is the most nicest, funniest guys we have ever met. He made our bed bug situation soooo much more manageable. He explained everything to us in detail, helped DISMANTLE our old bed and bring it down our stairs to the back yard, and our bed was HUGE! We are renting a home in San Clemente. I called Hearts and spoke with a knowledgeable staff member who I shared my concerns about treating our home for spiders because I had a child with Autism. She was very re-assuring and set up and appt with a tech to come to my home and explain the treatment that would eradicate the spiders and not put my daughter at risk. Jay was the technician that arrived a few days later and I was not disappointed. What a great guy! We've been using Hearts for about a year. We initially called them because we had ants inside our house. They came out and thoroughly explained their services and the advantages of different options. Since then we've been on a regular plan with them and are very satisfied. We have a very large organic vegetable garden and lots of fruit trees which all invite insect pests. We wanted to keep the pests to a minimum while maintaining the organic nature of our garden - Hearts provided this solution. I signed up for service every two months, First Saturday of the month. They showed up the first three times. But my scheduled visit this month...nobody showed. So I called them first thing Monday and was told that they changed my service date without notifying me, and without checking to see if this would work for me. I was never notified about any change. The office personnel were pleasant and very helpful and sent out Jay Strassner rather quickly. I had met Jay before but today he took all the time needed to explain the problems we had and even made recommendations on other issues which he saw that we could keep an eye on ourselves. He was really helpful and I felt he truly was trying to help us, not just sell his companies services, though he did that too in a way that made me feel good about it.
