Heather met the challenge with such knowledge and gentleness. She came to my house and took some some pictures, asked what we were looking for. Heather gave us the perfect plan for our family. Low maintenance (no mowing a lawn!), perfect for the shade, kid and pet friendly. We're not huge fans of the playground sets that are always in backyards, we just feel like they start decaying the minute you put them in. So she came up with a really cool rock yard area, where kids could climb and jump on boulders. But without the maintenance and eyesore of a playground set. Heather is super laid back. And really just a sweet kind person. She will definitely continue to be our point person as we dig into this project.

I was skeptical about using Mark (I had free and paid designs from landscape companies), but am…read moreglad I had him draw up my backyard landscape plan. I will likely use him for my front yard as well. Mark asks the right probing questions to understand the reason behind my vision before suggesting a design. I am detailed oriented and had a specific vision of what I wanted. His questions helped me recognize my wife and I had conflicting ideas. He then helped come up with a balanced design that met both our visions. We will tweak his plans a bit, but now the design elements have purpose behind them instead of just adding a bunch of trees and shrubs that we "think" will look nice. If you're taking on a landscape project, I would recommend starting with Mark and then working with landscapers to implement. His fee is worth it in comparison to a landscape implementation cost to ensure you start with the right plan.

Not sure if they are even still in business. Started a project with them I. February for basic…read morepaver patio and sodding. Fed was somewhat reasonable so I went with them. Did the project in 3 days. Couldn't do it exactly right but oh well. I then requested they come back out because it was a mediocre job. So they redid pretty much the whole project with a different more qualified crew. 2 more days but looks ok. After a month there were still some poor spots in the yard. Took them roughly another month to come out. Oh well they ended up fixing it so I didn't worry about it. Well at their initial project the bright minds tried to use a skid steer to lift my hottub and failed. In the process they scuffed it pretty bad. Of course when the "A Team" came I they could lift it by themselves but the project was already completed so it was too late. We are now 6 months post project, Nicole the owner has gotten a new contact number, does not respond to emails, and their main line does not answer my call. It is an amateur company at best hidden behind false promises of customer satisfaction. A large waste of money and investment and a waste of time trying to get their response.

Our situation was a little complicated because we originally explored removing the trees, but after a permit denial from the City of Atlanta we decided to focus on pruning to protect the house while maintaining the health of the trees. A&B took the time to walk the property with us, discuss our goals, and review the scope before starting work. The crew was professional, showed up as scheduled, and did an excellent job with cleanup. Most importantly, they approached the pruning thoughtfully. They improved clearance from the house while preserving the natural shape and health of the trees instead of performing a heavy-handed cut. Communication throughout the process was excellent, and they were flexible as we refined the scope of work. For the amount of work completed, including two large White Oaks and an additional overhanging limb, I felt the pricing was fair and provided excellent value. If you're looking for a company that listens, communicates well, and cares about doing the job correctly, I'd recommend A&B.
