Allen Pool and especially pool cleaning tech 'Chimichanga' are the best. I have lived in the same house for 21 years and have gone through a few companies as many pool companies are unreliable and even in they start well they slack off in time. In response to Cliff. You did NOTHING to resolve the issue of the poor job your personnel did in closing the pool fall 2021. When pool was opened water was black. In thirty years with this pool we have never seen anything like black water at opening. Your response was to hang up. By the way the fact you have a org chart on your website that only shows you as president speaks volumes about you and your telling me that Allen opens 400 pools annually is suspect. Allen Pool does not always deliver on what they promise to do. It can depend on the person or team assigned to your service.

Unprofessional - does not value customers or keep to agreed upon cleaning schedule. Missed cleaning our pool multiple times. Last week, we called, my wife was told that the pool person that cleans our pool was out sick. They never called or offered to send another person. Owner copped an attitude when his company sent out an un-trained new person that was sitting in our driveway. He was not told by his supervisors about how to get into our pool area. read more

'Chimichanga' technician at Allen Pool service does a good job maintaining our pool. Purchased the home home about 2 years ago and a few days after closing on our home the pool turned GREEN! This was during COVID and most pool companies were completely booked and not accepting new clients. I finally reached Cliff at Allen pools and he immediately got his team on the job inspecting, draining and cleaning our pool and getting it back into usable condition. Don't use this company. When we bought our house this year we decided to keep the same pool service that had been used by the previous owners. Within the first month it was clear that Allen Pool Service was not a good company. They were supposed to come every 2 weeks, but we were never informed what day or given an approximate time. So we had no way to know if our pool was getting the attention it needed. For the first 2 months I only saw them come by once. Then about 4 months in I saw them come to the house, I was relieved because the pool was in bad shape and desperately needed some attention as my boyfriend had been out of town for 3 weeks and hadn't been able to keep up with it. I saw the guy bring around a bucket and add some chemicals to the bucket. I went and took a shower expecting they would be working on it for a bit. When I came back out 12 minutes later they were gone and the pool looked the same. Nothing had been done. They charged us anyway. After that I demanded that we have a schedule so we could keep track of the service we were getting. They said every other Friday. It was a lie. 2 weeks later on a Friday and we hadn't had any service. They showed up on a Saturday and did subpar work. Then they just stopped showing up. It's been 4 weeks and we haven't anything from them. *The pool service was in my boyfriend's name, not mine. read more

I am a small business owner, so I understand the challenges of running a business. Mistakes are made from time to time. Miscommunication happens even with the most diligent businesses. I understand when these things happen, and as long as they're reasonably settled, I value a business and their services. As a result, I don't just a business just by the mistakes they make. More importantly, I judge a business by how they handle the miscommunication and mistakes that happen to even the best ones. I am sure most of the time Allen Pool does good work...but any reputable business does good work most of the time. It's how they handle themselves when a mistake or miscommunication happens that really determines if a business can be recommended or not. I'm going to go straight to the point here. Allen Pool service just dropped the ball with me. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. There was certainly some miscommunication, but regardless, I had a sizable discrepancy and wanted to have it resolved fairly. It seemed like the folk who run the business neither wanted to continue business with me, just wanted payment for services I never requested, and (more importantly) could not give any less care. Take your business somewhere else. At the end of the day, pool services companies come down to who's reliable, economical, and friendly. It's not rocket science. There are MANY other companies as reputable as Allen Pool to choose from. I very seriously recommend taking your business somewhere else. read more

We used Allen Pool Services to check for leaks in our neighborhood pool and replace some skimmers. We were so pleased with the service that we used them again when it came time to resurface our pool deck and coping. Excellent service, job was done on time and very professional.
