My experience with Ocean Blue Pools was excellent. I have a 20 year old pool that needed to be renovated. I inquired about the project with three different pool companies, and by far Ocean Blue was the best in terms of setting expectations, fair pricing, and dependable scheduling. We started our pool adventure in March of 2015 interviewing 10 different pool companies. I have to say out of the 10 companies Randall at Ocean Blue Pools was the only one that really listened to what we were looking for and understood we had a certain budget to adhere too. He sat down in our home with his computer and within an hour had a design that we could start working with. We made a few changes and by July we had our final design down and within budget. This was our first pool so we literally had no idea what we were doing. I feel very fortunate to have stumbled on Ocean Blue Pools and Randall in particular. Not only did he visit promptly (others we contacted either didn't respond or couldn't see us for several weeks) and basically designed the pool in front of our eyes. He walked us through material and color selections in the showroom then handled the entire permitting process. It's crazy looking back but the permit took longer than the build. The excavator broke ground on July 8th and we filled the pool on August 7th. Every day during the process I knew exactly what would be happening and when. The communication was excellent and they happily dealt with a few items we added on the fly. I only found out later how lucky we really were to work with OBP. Demand for pools is over the top right now and we happened to be located close to another OBP build so Randall fit us in and I couldn't be happier. We originally had our pool built by another contractor almost two years ago. However, this summer we started experiencing some significant flaking, the spa developed a leak, and the rebar was so close to the surface we started getting rust stains. I contacted Randall and Ocean Blue Pools to come take a look and see what it would take to repair everything. We decided to go with a new Pebble surface for the pool. They drained the pool, acid washed everything, chipped away the old finish and installed the Pebble finish in the exact time frame we were given. The amount paid was exactly the amount quoted. The crews were on time every day, extremely hard working and cleaned up before they left for the day. From the time the pool was drained and filled back up was a total of seven days and we have a brand-new pool better than the one we had before. I had a pool installed this year. I was very pleased with the whole process. Permits were pulled and in place a month before our initial date so I was very happy to have the project start earlier than planned. Our pool restoration (resurfacing, installation of new coping & changing old single drain to new safety drain) began on March 21, 2022 to a pool that was built in 1986 & last resurfaced with white plaster in 1998.
