I recently had an MRI at NorthStar Diagnostic Imaging , Allen, and I have to say... I was not expecting to leave smiling after voluntarily entering what is essentially a very polite, high-tech tube. But here we are. From the moment I walked in, the staff operated like a well-rehearsed pit crew--efficient, friendly, and reassuring without overdoing it. There's a calm professionalism in the air that makes you feel like you're in very capable hands (and not about to be launched into orbit... probably). And then there's Zahra--the MRI professional who deserves her own spotlight. If there were an Employee of the Month (EOM) hall of fame, she'd already have a reserved parking space. Clear instructions, great energy, and just the right amount of humor to make the whole process smooth and surprisingly pleasant. She turned what could have been a tense experience into something that felt easy and even--dare I say--enjoyable. I only found out after a recent visit and not until after when insurance settled and they wanted the remainder due, I found then the credit was applied. I called them twice to alert and politely complain about them having my $$ for 2 years. No explanation other than it was applied to your bill. Good customer service would have returned my money long ago. I wonder how many others are due money and have no clue. I'll choose others for service going forward.

I had the strangest experience there and probably the most surreal and uncomfortable situation at…read morean imaging place I've ever encountered in my life yesterday. I had to reschedule my first x-ray appointment in Wylie because their equipment had broke down and they were able to reschedule me in Allen the same morning. When I checked in, the lady I worked with was in the far left corner and she was very polite. I had mentioned to her. I did not fill out the online check-in information and preferred to fill out paperwork and she said no problem. When I returned the paperwork to her, I mentioned to her that my birthdate was wrong. I then noticed the lady on my right. (Her name was Coy) spoke under her breath out loud and said ,"If you had filled out the online application, you would've noticed that." It was very flippant remark and with a snippy tone. She was working with another patient and I was taken back by what she had just done and I decided to speak up and advocate for myself, and I said, " Did she just talk under her breath about me ?" to the lady in front of me. And then Coy spoke up again said," oh I didn't mean to hurt your feelings," in which I then replied," you have not hurt my feelings, but you're behaving in a very unprofessional manner, and I can't believe you would be checking out this patient beside me and also be talking under your breath about me which has nothing to do with you." She tried to defend herself and I just walked away and sat down and waited for my x-ray. Once I'm called back, Tricia takes me back to the x-ray room and as she's getting things ready there's a knock on the door and Tricia opens the door and isn't surprised to see Coy at the door and let's her in. !!!!!!!!! Mind you I feel like I'm in a movie right now. It's the craziest thing! I look at Tricia. She doesn't look surprised and is avoiding eye contact with me so I'm thinking to myself, "Had Coy asked permission from Tricia to allow her to corner me in the x-ray room to talk to me again about the situation up front? It was crazy. Coy starts apologizing to me and states that I've misunderstood and she had no bad intention. I'm still freaking out that this is even happening and I look at Coy and I tell her that I didn't appreciate her talking about me under her breath when she wasn't even the person checking me in or taking my payment and she kept talking over me and she wouldn't let me finish my sentence. Tricia, the x-ray tech was just watching not doing anything about it not telling Coy to go away not protecting me as a patient and I finally had to raise my voice and tell Coy to get out of the room so I could get my x-rays completed. It was absolutely bizarre and frightening at the same time and I couldn't believe Coy had gone from the front desk to the x-ray room to talk to me about this when I'm trying to get an x-ray. I was so shaken up. It was very hard for me to go through the next 15 minutes of x-rays. I was so upset. I was on the verge of tears. It was horrible. I spoke to the manager Lauren afterwards and she was very kind to listen to my experience and she assured me that they would be escalating this to upper management and it would be taken care of. I have not heard from their office yet, but I hope this never happens to anyone else. It was truly traumatic and it made no sense.

It was a great experience from walking in the door; it's a welcoming office, clean, and the team is courteous, from booking the appointment to the actual visit! The "People in the back," Jason and Millie, who actually did the MRI, were very kind and communicative (every step of the way); they followed safety protocols (gloves, needle, etc.). Here's the story, I went in to prime diagnostics. The form my doctor filled out does not have an…read morearea to select elbow, it's Prime's form. So they wrote forearm and bicep. I spoke with the technician prior to the MRI and made sure she was aware that I needed to have it for my lower forearm all the way up to my upper bicep. Because that's where the injury was. She said she would do her best. When I went in to have my MRI read by the orthopedic surgeon, he said the MRI wasn't good and even the report given by Prime states that it does not capture the rupture area "unfortunately, the scan does not cover the distal most insertion". Which is where the rupture occurred. I've been calling and leaving messages at both doctors offices and prime for 2 days trying to get them to re-do the MRi they messed up at no cost to me. i paid cash. Both doctors offices said that they had reached out to prime and not heard back. I spoke with the Prime scheduling department supervisor and the billing supervisor. They kept referring me back to the other departments. I have a short window to complete this surgery but Prime is not providing a good service. I may have to go elsewhere and pay out of pocket again. So frustraing!

He was calm, articulate, patient, empathetic to my high state of nervousness, and took time to explain the process to me in detail. He even offered to play music, so I asked to listen to his playlist - and it put me at ease. He slowly numbed the injection site until he could proceed with me being comfortable. I felt a slight pressure - nothing else - no pain at all, it was remarkable. Everyone told me it would be excruciatingly painful. They did three rounds of schlerotherapy that did nothing. So, they insisted on the sonogram again, so I agreed. They said I had three faulty veins. Well, I was confused as the vascular surgeon said I had none. So, I went to another vascular surgeon in Dallas and he did another sonogram and found nothing. Be careful when choosing this practice as they are a money making business.
