Mike and Dr. Reuter were very helpful in explaining the process (carotid sonogram) and next steps. Dr. Reuter sits with you and shows you visuals of your arteries, heart and/or veins. He makes a thorough background check and explains things in laymen's terms. Great Dr. and he smiles!!! (not many doctors do these days) I'd rather trust my heart to a younger, on the cutting edge doctor than one who isn't up on the latest--things change too quickly in today's world of science and technology. I highly recommend!!!

After I checked in and sat down the girl at the window needed my ID and insurance card so I got up to give it to her. She was so kind to leave the back office and come around to return those items to me rather than having to get up to get them from the window. I met with the PA first who took all my information and vitals, asked a number of questions and then Dr. Reuter came in and went over the same information. He then explained to me the purspose of the next tests that need to be done and I know he was doing his best to explain the how the heart worked but it was beyond me. I just remember that there are parts of your heart that fire off charges at different times and that the test would tell us how they were working. He spend quite a bit of time with me and I was very please with the whole experience. He came highly recommended by friends of mine who both see him.

Dr. Schwartz has been caring for my 70 year old mother this past year. She has some ongoing cardiac…read moreproblems; she had seen more than 3 other cardiac specialists and none was able to assist her with her heart palpitations and general cardiac pain. I was SO impressed that this Doctor actually took the time to 1) do some extensive testing, and 2) suggested my mother take some homeopathic vitamins to assist her. I'm extremely impressed that first of, the homepathic vitamins worked when NOTHING else did. Second, that a DOCTOR would recommend them. I abhor most of the institutionalized medical profession, as many simply prescribe painkillers and ignore preventative/alternative remedies. This was extraordinary to me both that he was thoughtful enough to evaluate all traditional routes and then offer her some non traditional solutions. And one that WORKED. She is so much better. I haven't even met this doctor but knowing how much pain my mother has been in the past few years, and what she had to say about him, I needed everyone to know that this guy is the real deal. Go Dr. Schwartz, you rock. She also said he has a great bedside manner, etc. All that good stuff. Yay!

My experience at this office today was unacceptable. My appointment was at 1:00 PM. When I first…read morearrived, the door was locked. I noticed a plaque stating the doors may be locked from 12:30 to 1:00, so I waited until 1:00 before returning. When it was still locked at 1:00, the time of my appointment, I knocked to alert staff that I was there. The staff member who opened the door was visibly irritated, pointed to the plaque, and asked if I "had a question" instead of welcoming me or simply saying hello. Her tone and attitude were rude and unprofessional from the start. Once I was inside, another staff member came around the corner and, instead of showing professionalism or trying to diffuse the situation, made a sarcastic comment about the plaque and their lunch hours as she walked away, clearly meant to be rude. If the office is closed until 1:00, then maybe appointments should not be scheduled at that time. It is customary for patients to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Had the first staff member simply opened the door, greeted me, and said "let's get you checked in," the entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, she acted as though I had inconvenienced her by knocking. The echocardiogram technician was not rude, but she was indifferent and impersonal. She seemed rushed and less thorough than other technicians I have experienced. What truly concerned me was that after telling me I would need to undress and put on a gown, she did not leave the room. When she realized I wasn't changing, she asked if I wanted her to leave, but in a way that made it seem unnecessary or inconvenient for her to do so. That should never even be a question. Patient privacy should always be assumed and respected. In my 50 years, I have never had a nurse, doctor, or technician ask that in any medical setting. They always leave the room to provide privacy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. The room itself also appeared unclean, with a trash can overflowing with used gowns, dirt on the floor, and dirty chairs, which made the environment feel unsanitary. It's a shame when poor staff behavior reflects so poorly on a practice. There are too many options out there to tolerate this level of unprofessionalism.

Unfortunately, there was a suicide on the high five that shut down Hwy 75 below, backing up traffic for well over an hour. I called 20 minutes before my appointment and explained that I would be there about 4:05 but that I had already completed my paperwork in advance. I was told that it would be ok so I proceeded to the appointment. When I arrived at 4:07, though, I was told that I would have to reschedule. I reiterated that I had called in advance because there had been a suicide on the highway and that it wouldn't be easy for me to take off work again, however the receptionist was unsympathetic and told me it was already 4:15, but her clock must have been fast. I asked for my paperwork back and let her know that I would have to find another Cardiologist. It is a shame that they turned away a patient who was complaining of chest pain for being two minutes too late and that more consideration wasn't given for the highly special circumstances that backed up thousands of commuters today. I guess that, because I was probably the last patient of the day, they just wanted to go home early. :(

I may be fighting for my life, but i feel like I'm an inconvenience. Have had same breathing tube in me for 4 days. Waiting to see if they will let me have a new one. Why would this not be changed every day on a covid patient? Oh, just got a call from someone who did not identify themself but asked if i got my dinner that i had forgot all about. It never ends here. 2 nights ago the same thing happened. Is this hospital just here to make insurance money on covid and that's it??? I forgot to mention the bed that broke... And the Respiratory Therapist just showed up and claimed they gave me a new breathing intake tube this morning. Nope, never happened. I have been to this hospital for many things including fighting cancer twice. I came here as I thought I would get the same great care. I guess Covid has destroyed their system..... I regret having to write this review but feel you should know what i have been going through. It's not one big thing, but it sure has been a mountain of issues.
