Info for their next patients: Need to share this after I finally talked to the doctor (Gupta) and the nurse practitioner (Mahnaz) today a week after the miscarriage. 1) I signed up for the OB I chose (Gupta). But Gupta told me she wasn't involved in any data checking or appointment decision making until I went to ER. She said it was all on the nurse practitioner. - What?! Why?! She said it was strange I was scheduled at week 11. It's usually week 8. - Whose responsibility?! Who's bearing the consequences? I asked her how I know if there was ever a fetal pole or not, she said "ya we don't know." 2) the nurse practitioner, Mahnaz, just kept telling me even an earlier sonogram wouldn't make any change to the result. - what about the data for me to know what actually happened? And she just did what every OB would do. - without asking her OB? She told me she didn't know I tried to make an earlier appointment. It was all the front desk girl. - Seriously?! At the end, she just told me "I need to go to see my patient. You can talk to the office manager because you and I are not getting anywhere!" Next thing I knew, she slammed the door and left me in the room by myself. - What a jerk! It hurts like so many bad words. I'm surprised she does this for living. She should be fired. 3) If you want to get their attention, consider to share your experience here, they will call you right away. ---- Worst experience! No matter how much I told the NP, Mahnaz, after I signed up to Gupta about my advanced age and my last miscarriage which was within a year, the NP just gave me very broad info intake and 2 blood work in week 5. I had to be the one to request for blood work in week 6 when I saw my HCG wasn't doubling. No more blood work scheduled till the miscarriage. My first sonogram was scheduled at week 11. - Ridiculous! I called and requested a few times to have an earlier sonogram. I was told the Dr said it's not necessary!!! I feel very dismissed from this place on me or whatever risk I am going through. One star bc there's no zero star option. Just know that all the negative reviews here and on Google are not coincidence. read more

Prior to becoming pregnant, my experience was always great, go in for a Pap smear, get in and get out. I've recommended Dr. Gupta to people. But then.. On my first visit to confirm pregnancy, the nurse training that day, who had never been to this facility , almost told me my pregnancy test was negative. "We need to do a HcG test, your pregnancy test was neg....oh wait, I guess it's positive, it was a faint line". Firstly, the line was not faint, I got up and checked, second, do we think it's smart to tell a woman who thinks she's pregnant that she's not, in the most non-chalant way?? I was already upset because my son, who I homeschool, and have no one to watch him during the day, had to wait in the hallway of the building because he's not allowed in due to "the spread of infectious diseases". Big news flash, adults can spread those too....and to be an office for mothers but not allow kids in, is mind blowing. My son is 9, he would have just read a book in the corner in the waiting room. The same day, the nurse kept leaving and going back and forth to speak with my doctor...she left the room at least 4 times to get an answer. I have PCOS, so one of the reasons I was coming in (told the front desk when I made the appointment) not just to confirm my pregnancy, but it was because I was having bad pain and my ovaries and I want to make sure that this was not going to be an issue for my pregnancy. I had to basically fight with the nurse tooth and nail to advocate for myself for them to agree to give me a sonogram that day. She kept trying to say to me. You can just wait three weeks...Come back in three weeks for the sonogram. I advised, I'm not waiting three weeks, something could be wrong, and I want to make sure. So had the sonogram... waited for true doctor to come in, who btw.. never mentioned the fibroid shown on the sonogram screen. When Dr. Gupta came in, she looked at me like I was a problem child, like they had already been talking about me in the hallway, and that did not feel good. I am a mother, who's advocating for my health. She tells me I can take Theralogix products now that I'm pregnant (was taking preconception but only for two weeks as I got pregnant quickly). These products prescribed for preconception, and during pregnancy, are extremely expensive in comparison to others that will do the job as well. I can only assume due to the code given by the doctor that she received some sort of kickback...that's not a good feeling. Finally, and really there was more I wasn't a fan of, but the nail in the coffin was when I saw my test results were received by the office on Wednesday (conducted Tuesday) and I had to call the following Monday to tell someone I needed the explanation of my results and some antibiotics. Again, psychological safety here, I have an infection, and it was prolonged to even more time. This is not a good feeling for a mom, in her first trimester, who hasn't had a kid in 10 years and knows the negative possibilities of what can happen. The amount of tears I've had because of the inefficiencies is disgusting, especially for an expecting mother, and I would not recommend. read more

Called to see if I could get in as a new patient due to high risk issue, I advised the office of the situation and was told I couldn't be seen until mid April. If you are able to get in to see the doctor, you will be able to ask questions and receive answers thoroughly without judgment. (The nurses, are a different story and will tell you their opinions about your lifestyle choices and your body.) However, good luck getting in to see the doctor. The administration at this place is awful. In order to get information you must go to the office and sit in the lobby for hours because voicemails are not returned as promised. Also patients must be medical experts and have a thorough knowledge of medical billing in order to ensure they are not being taken advantage of. There seems to no communication amongst staff. Checking out of my first visit, a follow up visit with different procedures was scheduled. When I arrived the doctor asked why I scheduled the appointment because she did not think it was necessary. To which I responded the staff member checking me out told me I needed to schedule the appointment as you requested it. At my latest appointment, a nurse asked me what labs we were doing as the doctor did not write it down. I am assuming this is what caused the billing issue because I received a bill from a lab for over $800 for procedures covered by the ACA. When I contacted billing, they asked me what was done as if they do not know and do not have my records despite the practice being the ordering party. Billing also refused to take responsibility and rectify the issue stating I need contact my insurance and the lab despite both entities being unable to change how the office coded the procedures. Insurance will not tell anyone how to code anything as that is insurance fraud. It also should not fall on the patient to know medical codes and make sure their care providers are doing their jobs correctly and returning calls as promised on their answering machines. Billing then transferred me to the office manager who has still not returned my voicemail. If you enjoy learning opportunities and experiences where you must practice patience and learn how to wait to receive quality care you already paid for, this is the place for you. read more

My mom went to their office to make an appointment with Dr. Gupta as a new patient. She wanted to make sure they take her insurance, so she went in person instead of calling in. She went to the lady at the front desk, and stated that she is a new patient, showed her health insurance card, and confirmed with them that everything would work. I call in today for the appointment, and the woman I talked to repeatedly talked over me. When she finally let me talk, she states "we don't take new patients with Medicare". Unorganized and unprofessional. Didn't even get an apology. Do better and stop wasting people's time! read more

It was a breath of fresh air meeting with Dr. William Salter. During our consultation he was thorough and confident; leaving me to feel secure in his hands. After diagnosis we were quickly able to schedule, a much needed, surgery. Salter never left any question unanswered and had excellent bedside manner. His staff is pleasant, helpful and never without a smile. It's been 30 days post-surgery and over the course of those 30 days, I have managed to concern myself but Dr. Salter was immediately to my aid. Utterly livid. This doctor's office made me drink 32 ozs of water, hold it for an hour and a half, only to have their incorrect website send me to the wrong place. THEN as my full bladdered self had to speed across George Bush, bumps and all, I get here to find out that they're not doing an abdominal ultrasound, they're going the other way, which requires an empty bladder. THEN after I go through that torture, they tell me "Oh hey, the doctors not in right now" so thanks for taking off from work and having your time wasted. I had Dr. Gupta during my recent pregnancy and delivery. She was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I had some complications but she was so calm and fast acting, she never missed a beat! Dr. Gupta went above and beyond for me, my baby, as well as the other doctors at this practice. 5 stars every time I come into the office because the front staff as well as the nurses make it feel comfortable. Amelia my nurse has taken care of me and made me feel like I have someone who will always have my back. She is accurate, loving, and it's always an amazing experience getting cared for by her. Me and my son are now healthy and enjoying our time with his sisters and brother who were also delivered by doctors at this same practice. We had Dr. Gupta as our obstetrician during my wife's pregnancy. She took wonderful care of her when she practiced in Chicago. She is very professional, with excellent bedside manners and has tons of experience. We felt completely safe with her. She always explained all options and gave her recommendations, but at same time she always let us participate in the decision-making process. We were worried when we got transferred over from Dr.Teresa Bascom to Dr.Gupta, but soon we realized we are in good hands .Dr.Gupta was very helpful and quickly clarified all our questions and helped us make thoughtful decisions that is good for both the mom and baby . At one point , fluid level was low , so dr was watching it very close and was very confident and in getting appointments setup for detailed MFM scans and at the hospital for induced delivery. Even with two visits prior to our hospital admission , Dr. spent a lot of time understanding the baby position , recommended , induced labor , suggested all possible pain medications and gave us all directions to the hospital. At the time when we reached hospital for induced labor which was around 10:30pm , Dr. already called up the hospital and made every thing super easy for us.. Induced labor process in the hospital started around 4am..started pitocin from 4am at 2ml level..Initially baby's heart rate dropped at first and the nurses called doctor early morning and she quickly responded and reduced to 1 ml till baby got used to it and then slowly increased the pitocin level...epidural anesthesia was extremely well done so that pain was almost none or minimal..and by 12:15pm , our daughter is born. Any one looking for OBGYN in the area, find Dr.Anu Gupta , we highly recommend her based on our experience. I have been going to this practice for over 6 years and have seen 2 different doctors and cannot say enough good things. Dr. Anu Gupta is amazing has delivered 2 of my 3 babies. She is kind, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, professional and always willing to answer my questions. Both of my last two pregnancies were high risk and she helped navigate me through both. I would not recommend Dr Gupta to anyone! I saw Dr Gupta during my first pregnancy and wasn't super happy with her because she wasn't very nice, her bedside manner was lacking but decided to go ahead and give her another chance. Big mistake! Here is a very brief rundown of my miscarriage story to explain why I will not ever suggest anyone see Dr Gupta. On 4/16 we found out we were expecting, I called and got my 8 week checkup booked. On 4/20 after the office had closed for the day I started bleeding. The morning of 4/21 I call to say I'm bleeding and they say to come in that afternoon for a Beta. 4/22 I get a call saying my HGC levels came back and look good but to come back on 4/23 for another Beta to make sure they are rising appropriately. (I asked if my levels are looking good and I'm bleeding, why we aren't doing a sono or trying to figure out why I'm bleeding. Told it's to early to see anything on a sono) Got my second beta done in 4/23 and got those back on 4/27, again looks good but come in for a third today. (I asked why we aren't doing a PLACEMENT sono to make sure the pregnancy is in my uterus. Again told it's to early to see anything) At this point I was DONE! Dr Gupta never even wanted to do an exam to try to figure out why I'm bleeding. I called a new dr to get a second opinion and they were happy to do a placement sono and they will do it 4/29. Went ahead and got the third Beta done on 4/27. 4/28 Dr Guptas office called and said "levels look good, dr Gupta doesn't want you to come back till your 8 week appointment." Mind you all this time I am still bleeding and keep telling them it has not stoped. 4/29 I got the sono done by the new Dr and he sees the baby is in my cervix. He did an exam and can see the baby is falling out, I am having a miscarriage. When I get home that day I get a call from Dr Guptas office saying "Dr Gupta wants to put you on a medication till you're about 13 weeks because your progesterone levels are low, is that okay?" I said no, I just got back home from having a sono with a new dr who saw the baby is in my cervix and I am miscarrying, I will not be returning to Dr Gupta." Later that day I got a call from Dr Gupta herself saying "they told me you are bleeding. What is going on? Your levels don't look good." At that point she had known I was bleeding for over a week and never once tried to talk to me or do an exam to figure out why I was bleeding. And all the sudden my levels don't actually look good like they had been telling me. If you are wanting a dr who is going to take the time figure out what is going on with your body, Dr Gupta is NOT the Dr for you. read more

Dr. Mosier is the best. Every time I've been to see her she has made me feel comfortable and like a valued patient. She doesn't rush through appointments and makes sure to answer any and all questions honestly. I've had a hiccup or two since I've been going there over the years, but none of which were due to Dr. Mosier directly and none of which would keep me from coming back. She's awesome. read more

I have nothing but incredible things to say for Dr Salter and his amazing staff at advanced obgyn and associates. It was determined very early on in my pregnancy that there was a major complication, and Dr Salter and his staff were very proactive when it came to mine and my baby girls care. He listened to every concern I voiced, monitored me very closely, and was very thorough with every exam. He also spent so much time educating my husband and I throughout every visit. He also got a specialist involved to ensure we were receiving the best care possible. He even admitted me into the hospital for a few nights so the team could monitor us closely. Unfortunately, our baby girl did not survive given the circumstances she was under. I know that we did everything possible to give her the best chance at life under his care. Dr Salter spent the night in the hospital when we were induced even though he was not on call to ensure he would be there for the delivery of our girl. He was there through every step of the way through our baby girls birth. He offered a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on when me and my husband were suffering emotionally. His staff was beyond incredible through this process as well. They always worked me into his schedule when I was feeling concerned about something. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone looking for an OB in the Dallas area. I can confidently say that the loss we experienced would have been so much greater if we didn't have the support from such an amazing physician. We look forward to seeking care from him and his staff with future pregnancies. read more

I can't comment on the actual procedures of this Richardson Ob/Gyn for obvious reasons. The waiting room was really nice, as was the receptionist, as I waited on my girlfriend's appointment. It seemed like all went well with the GF's appointment, and I didn't hear any complaints from her. I'm guessing the visit to "the lady doctor" went well. read more

Dr. Holcomb is a horrible Doctor. Horrible conduct in this office. I was a patient for many years at this office under the care of a Doctor that retired. Upon his retirement I was scheduled with this Dr. Holcomb who was a recent new addition to the practice. I met her ONCE and on that visit and following that visit there were several incidents that I brought to her and the office's attention where I reported to them poor patient care. Dr. Holcomb dismissed me after meeting me once and dismissed my concerns and dehumanized me. She does not care about you or your Healthcare. Horrible, horrible, Doctor and office. read more

After a year of infertility struggles and being unhappy with my obgyn's decisions, my coworker suggested I go see her doctor, Dr. Salter. I am SO glad I listened! When I left my first appointment with him I felt the most hope and calm I have in a long time. I really felt like he listened to my needs/concerns and had all the right answers. He was kind and gentle (had my annual exam too) the whole visit, but was also very honest and direct. I know some women question seeing a obgyn who is a male, but I felt incredibly comfortable the whole time! I highly recommend Dr. Salter to anyone looking for a new doc! read more

I went to this office to see Dr. Bascom when I was pregnant with my second child. She is a decent doctor, however the office staff is very poor. They overcharged me several times and I had to remind them my copays so that they charge me correctly. They also have the policy to collect delivery charges 4-6 months before baby delivery. I paid that amount and later came to know that Dr. Bascom was discontinuing her practice and ended up finding other doctor. As somebody else mentioned I had to pay $33.00 for transferring medical records to new office. It took forever to transfer medical records and no phone calls were answered or returned when I called them. Later I came to know that the office which transfers medical records is also connected to Advanced Ob-Gyn. Also, the delivery charges were not fully returned. When I made payment, I paid some amount using Credit Card and some using credit I had with them from overpayments. They refunded the CC charge but not the credit amount. I contacted the office several times with receipts but they kept saying there is no credit on my account. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Richard Salter to any and everyone. He not only has the most wonderful bedside manner (seriously, I have never experienced better!) that I have ever experienced, but his knowledge and attentiveness to listen to your concerns is beyond expectations. He will never leave you feeling rushed during your appointment and takes the time to listen to any and all concerns. I've been seeing him since in my early teen years with complications and he has stood by my side through this whole journey to help me feel my best. He just performed my exploratory laparoscopy this past summer and it was the best surgery I've ever experienced. I hope that he will be the man to work with me when my it is my time to have a child and to deliver said child, I wouldn't choose anyone else! 10/10 I am living my best life because of this man, thank you doctor! read more

Im a patient at this office and Dr. Holcomb was my doctor and she is AMAZING! Dr. Holcomb is one of the most compassionate and caring physicians ive ever had. As a first time mom I had a lot of questions and concerns and Dr. Holcomb took the time to answer them ALL and ease my mind throughout the entire process. I never felt rushed or embarrassed and she took the time to get to know me and my husband. I ended up having a c-section preformed by Dr. Mosier and I knew I was in great hands by EVERYONE at this practice. The front end staff are always so nice and accommodating.
