I had high hopes for Dr. Christy Walker. Especially since I took my time researching tediously to try and find a new OBGYN (African American). My overall experience was HORRIBLE. I came to Dr. Walker's office for a somewhat medical emergency. I sat in the waiting room for 1 hour which was frustrating but I let it go. Finally getting to the room I waited on the doctor another 25 minutes. I get doctors are busy and things happen. Dr. Walker's bedside manner is not the best. She spoke to me in a very condescending way. She was only in the room for all 5 minutes and rushed out immediately. Her team was supposed to call in a prescription for me following this appointment. I called the office, emailed, and didn't receive the prescription until two weeks after my appointment. This office lacks COMMUNICATION and KINDNESS. I think Dr. Walker is more focused on her "cosmetic surgeries" as opposed to her regular OBGYN clinic. I highly suggest you avoid it at all costs this has been a nightmare for me. read more

I've always enjoyed my visits with Dr Walker but had a visit with Amber Johnson today. Not only do we have the same name and are both from Louisiana, but she made me feel so comfortable and talked me through my exam. She is a great addition to the team! A precious member of my family lost her life while in Dr. Christy Walker's care. She dismissed her entire staff except for one nurse and herself that late evening; leaving her un-properly monitored. Her cause of death was lack of oxygen for 40 mins. Fatal errors were made that should have been avoided steer clear of this place. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Walker for my women's health needs for about four years now. I love her office staff. They are kind and easy going. I especially love Dr. Walker though! As a lesbian and a women of color, it is hard to find compassionate care that makes you feel relaxed and safe. Dr. Walker provides that type of care to marginalized women that is so hard to find, and I am beyond appreciative of her support of my overall health throughout the years. Went to this doctor's office for an appointment at 11:15am, I was early. The took me back to a room to wait. Waited for long enough, I saw 2 episodes of Chicago PD. Someone comes in at 11:42am and says, "she will be right with you.." 12:01pm the nurse practitioner comes in and does my exam in less than 6min and I'm out. This is the longest to have waited for anyone, that wasn't even the doctor. To add insult, they charged me for a procedure I didn't get done. The office clerk, Mona, offered me a refund on December 5th and I never heard from her again. Until today, Jan 23rd, I spoke with their office and the clerk was very rude. She stated she couldn't get me any money back even she told me that she would back on Dec 5th. She said she was "new" and didn't know she couldn't do that. She gave me no paperwork, documents, or anything stating the office doesn't give money back for procedures that you never got done. This office is a scam - the front desk and the doctor. Stay clear of this office. You'll wait over an hour to not be seen by the doctor, but the NP. They were rude, take your money and not help you, sat around most of the day talking to themselves. read more

Dr. Christy Is the best doctor I've ever had. I initially sought her out when I found out I was pregnant in 2015, at the time she had a full patient load so I ended up getting care through a doctor she offices with. While I was unable to have her as a doctor during the pregnancy she never missed an opportunity to check on me in passing to ensure the care I was receiving was sufficient. When I went into labor she was the on call doctor so I was grateful to have her deliver my daughter. I had to have a c-section as my baby was frank breech. All I can say is the delivery was the best experience and recovery was a breeze because she does such great work. Now, I have switched over to her as my primary OBGYN. She offers many other services as far as cosmetic and weight management along with addressing any female issues and I have never been in her office and felt like everyone in the office wasn't there to serve me. I've done the HCG shots and it was a great experience. I have also had to use her when my insurance lapse during a job switch and I've never had an issue paying cash for my visits. I can honestly say your body will thank you for choosing her as your OB doctor. Over the years she has become such a medical influence just by the knowledge and care she gives. read more

Her office refused to give me the results of my ultrasound unless I paid for another $300 appointment. I don't have insurance and I've already spent $300 on an appointment that was a complete waste and not what I needed at all. This should be illegal, seeing as if I do have an abcess in my ovaries I could DIE. Absolutely ridiculous to make me pay for the ultrasound and then pay extra just to hear the results. Is it illegal? It sounds illegal. Should be. Anyways I'm just gonna go to the emergency room. read more

Dr Walker has such a great bedside manner! She's caring and considerate and unlike many other Doctors I've been to, she doesn't make you feel like you're being rushed out the door. She's an excellent surgeon, for both GYN cases and Cosmetic. I absolutely Love love love her!!!!! I had a procedure done in the office and she took such good care of me and I'm soooooo happy with my results! I've seen other reviews about the office staff and the wait, and I hate that they had that experience. Every time I've gone I've had great interactions with the office staff. Wait times usually suck across the board at every medical facility I go to, which is super frustrating but it's been the norm for so many years I just go in expecting it. I definitely recommend you make an appointment with Dr Walker and decide for yourself if she's a good fit. Unfortunately, front office staff turnover is so frequent nowadays that you would be doing yourself a disservice to judge the provider by that experience. Hi, I thought Dr. Christy Walker was a nice, caring person, as a gynecologist she was mostly ok. but she is also a plastic surgeon certified, I trusted her and her team but they did not provide me the right information. Instead of doing a tummy tuck I wanted to try a new procedure called Body Tight. Dr and her team said many times I would be a good candidate for it, since I lost lots of weight but have access skin on my abdominal area. The day of the procedure, she did not take any measurements, did not tell me for sure how much fat was removed and she mentioned that I will be wide awake and I wasn't. I did the procedure on a Friday, she told me she would call next day to see how I was and no call the whole weekend, on Monday I had to call her, since the following morning I was already 7lbs more and its been 10 months I haven't lost a pound, not to mention she was horrible to follow up, ask for my pictures etc... after my second follow up, I did not see any change, I was miserable with those extra pounds and feeling fatter than ever, she said she can do the procedure again for FREE and offered so many other alternatives and even told me not to share this with anyone that she was offering me other options. I still wanted to trust her, waited patiently for 6 months I still didn't see any change, since she kept saying give 6 months to see major change. After 6 months she called me, insisting I do another procedure, I asked if she would like to see me before booking and she said no need, come back any time. (very skeptical, right there) so, I requested a partial return of my money since she was offering so many other options and she refused it. But she was ok to give me another procedure for free? made no sense. Besides I don't trust her anymore with my body. To fix the damage she caused I now have to undergo another procedure with a different doctor. I am very much disappointed. I consulted 2 different plastic surgeons and they told me the procedure was not for me, since I had loose skin and thin skin, the best thing would be a tummy tuck. Please read and consult other doctors before choosing her...its skeptical when I doctor is gynecologist and plastic surgeon at the same time in my opinion. I was very immature and paid big price not only wasted my money but my body looks worst after so much hard work. Not to mention the wait in her office takes over an hour. I understand she is busy, but we are too. Lastly, I had a teleconsultation and she called me back 1h and 45 mins after my scheduled time. I will never ever recommend her to anyone. read more

Omg!! I love love loooove her!! I have had the same obgyn for the last 10 years. But I recently moved about 2 hours away and have been looking for one since. I was so surprised how hard it is to find a good woman doctor in Dallas/Fort Worth. Dr. Walker is all that and more-clean nice up to date office, paperwork done on iPads, hardly any wait and labs done right there. I really liked her. She is so nice and easy to talk too. If Dr. Walker is not your GYN, you are at the wrong doctor!!! She is truly a gem among doctors. Her bedside manner is impeccable. She is very kind and very through. This office is terrible. The staff is rude. As another person stated, you call during business hours and no one answers or calls you back. Tania or Tonya (however it is spelled), the medical assistant, is horrible and has the worst attitude. Definitely not someone to be working in the medical field because she has no empathy or patience. She is literally collecting a paycheck. read more

I love Dr. Christie but this rating is because the way the office is ran. If you miss the call to get your results then you are out of luck. The medical assistant called with my results and told me to call back between the hours of 8 and 5 only to not return my call for two days. I got her on the phone after calling 5 times at which she said let me call you back and she never did. This has happened to me in the past as well. When I did get Tania on the phone she hung up in my face and then I had to call her back. I felt like I was bothering her because I wanted my results. Overall I can't take it anymore. The process of leaving a voicemail on the nurse hotline and someone calling you back needs to be updated. There should be a designated person to call you back and handle prescriptions because the person who handles the calls now has a BAD attitude. I also never got my prescription but I don't even want to go through the process and have her call me back because I don't want to be treated like I don't matter. read more

Dr. Walker is a thoughtful doctor. She went out of her way to help me get a procedure I needed. Dr. Walker is smart, warm, and works incredibly hard. I do usually have to wait 30-50 minutes after my appointment is scheduled to be seen. I'd rather wait for quality (Dr. Walker), then have my appointment be perfectly on time.
