I've had some mental health issues for as long as I can remember, and during my last pregnancy I struggled with it a lot. Working with Dr. Thompson was completely different. She took my mental health into serious consideration and made sure I knew how important it was for me to take care of that as well as my physical health. She is also the reason why I started seeing a therapist; as she heavily recommended it at the beginning of the pregnancy and that on top of my medicine management made the whole experience so much healthier mentally than my first pregnancy. I absolutely love Dr. Thompson and I'm excited to have her as my OB/GYN for years to come! Also, her nurse was incredible as well! Deliana (not sure how to spell her name, hopefully I got that right! His Frisco staff is super friendly and efficient. I never waited longer than 5 minutes. And keep in mind he delivers many babies multiple times a day. Also I was informed up front of the cost which was very good and luckily thanks to my insurance too im sure. Anyways delivering here was so much cheaper than in San Francisco, like 5 times cheaper ! I just came for my annual visit. They moved locations this year and this was my first time to this…read morenew location. The maps were confusing on what the location was because they are near a bunch of other offices. I finally found the plaza and was waiting for 5 minutes for the elevator because it wasn't working. I can't take the stairs because I just hurt my knee. Aside from the fact that they aren't shown on the digital display downstairs yet, their office is around a corner and not easily visible. I got a text at 9:56 saying I missed my 9:45 appointment, even though it hasn't gone past the 15 minute grace period they've ALWAYS had in place for years. I walk in not even one minute later apologizing for being late and explain I couldn't find their office. (Which by the way, aside from their address, they provided no explanation or insight as to where the new location was, not even when I scheduled on the phone and I didn't know to ask because I thought it was going to be an external building like it was before.) The receptionist tells me that because I am late, I need to reschedule my appointment. I ask why if it hasn't been even fifteen minutes yet, let alone past the fifteen minutes. She says she knows but they have no wiggle room because they are booked. But the fifteen minutes is the wiggle room? So I dont understand. I live in McKinney and have to take tolls to get here. I just wasted PTO, time, money, and gas. I have been coming here for THIRTEEN years. I have referred plenty friends and family, who are still patients of theirs. I didn't recognize this receptionist because she is not who I usually see, so she must be new since I last came a year ago, or a different staff member that wasn't usually the receptionist. I say this because the usual receptionist was always very kind to me and warm and enthusiastic, which this one was not. I have never been late or missed an appointment or cancelled/no showed in those thirteen years and have always given plenty notice to reschedule, except for maybe once or twice when I started my period the day of and they asked me to reschedule because it would interfere with the pap smear results, and even then I called first thing in the morning to ask what I should do. I'm extremely upset. There was not a single person there or waiting, and no next appointment had arrived, so it makes no sense why I couldn't be taken back if they have my insurance. ID, and pre check in paper work on file. There was absolutely no reason why I couldn't have been taken back, ESPECIALLY since I was within the grace period. It is so upsetting and disappointing that the management is willing to lose a patient over 11 minutes. She had already decided before I even walked in that I had missed my appointment. At the TEN minute mark. She didn't bother asking a nurse or checking with the doctor, or seeing what she could do. Not ONCE. Mind you over the last thirteen years, Dr. Fong has run late because of deliveries, emergency appointments, and other issues and not once have I EVER complained or rushed them. I have been patient. It is such a shame because I love my doctor so much and I hate having to end a relationship of thirteen years with him due to poor, un empathetic staff. I used to rave about this office for years and have left reviews years after years. Well now Doctor Fong, because of your receptionist, not only have you lost one patient, but you will be losing several others as well. I will be informing every single family and friend I have referred to longer come to this office. Please do not come here anymore, they seem to not care about their patients anymore or care about wasted time. I even explained to her I had already taken time off when she asked if I could come in Friday instead, and she still did not care. We will take our business elsewhere. Sorry I could not say goodbye in person Dr. Fong, but as I am sure you read these reviews, please know it was not you nor your nurses, but rather your front staff. It was a pleasure being your patient all these years and I'm sorry I can no longer see you.

She delivered 2 of my 3 children, and I continued to see her for my yearly exams. Over the years, she has seemed to "check out". Last time I saw her, I felt even more like she's disassociated from the actual practice of really caring about what's going on with me. For a woman my age, however, there are certain questions she needs to be asking and following up on, especially knowing my health history, but she did not. On several occasions, I reached out with very worrisome and specific concerns, all of which were ignored, and never addressed at my following appointments. The last time I saw her was confirmation that I needed to find a new Dr, as I felt her lack of knowledge and concern had reached a level I felt was totally unacceptable for a Dr of her tenure. in addition, wait times at her new office can last 45 min or more. I spoke to another lady in the waiting area and she felt the same, and had been going to this Dr as long as I had. Dr.Harms does not have the knowledge to care for menopausal patients either, which is of utmost importance for me. This is Dallas. Drs are like restaurants, they're a dime a dozen. But Gupta told me she wasn't involved in any data checking or appointment decision making until I went to ER. She said it was all on the nurse practitioner. - What?! Why?! She said it was strange I was scheduled at week 11. It's usually week 8. - Whose responsibility?! Who's bearing the consequences? I asked her how I know if there was ever a fetal pole or not, she said "ya we don't know." 2) the nurse practitioner, Mahnaz, just kept telling me even an earlier sonogram wouldn't make any change to the result. - what about the data for me to know what actually happened? And she just did what every OB would do. - without asking her OB? She told me she didn't know I tried to make an earlier appointment. It was all the front desk girl. - Seriously?! At the end, she just told me "I need to go to see my patient. You can talk to the office manager because you and I are not getting anywhere!" Next thing I knew, she slammed the door and left me in the room by myself. - What a jerk! It hurts like so many bad words. I'm surprised she does this for living. She should be fired. 3) If you want to get their attention, consider to share your experience here, they will call you right away. ---- Worst experience! No matter how much I told the NP, Mahnaz, after I signed up to Gupta about my advanced age and my last miscarriage which was within a year, the NP just gave me very broad info intake and 2 blood work in week 5. I had to be the one to request for blood work in week 6 when I saw my HCG wasn't doubling. No more blood work scheduled till the miscarriage. My first sonogram was scheduled at week 11. - Ridiculous! I called and requested a few times to have an earlier sonogram. I was told the Dr said it's not necessary!!! I feel very dismissed from this place on me or whatever risk I am going through. One star bc there's no zero star option. Just know that all the negative reviews here and on Google are not coincidence.

In the moment, and as a 1st time IVF patient, I thought my experience was "normal" but after I…read morefinally switched clinics, I realized how bad my experience was at DFW Fertility. Over the course of 2.5 yrs, I did 5 retrievals, 1 transfer (ended in MC) and countless tests. Spent about $75K cash out of pocket at this clinic, not including meds. Dr. Thomas is very sweet & knowledgeable, but I only spoke to her a few times. Once at the initial meeting, and only after that when something bad happened. The place runs like a puppy mill. There are too many patients, no personalized care, all paid for in cash. Every time I tried to schedule a call to talk to the Dr. my 15 minute phone call appointment was usually 1-2 weeks out. I had no direct contact with the Dr, only my nurse, which changed a lot. It would've been nice if Dr. would've updated the plan/protocol, but nothing changed after each failed retrieval. After 5, I was told "this is your new norm". I switched clinics & that turned out not to be true. Medication protocol change made all the difference!! & I have new Dr's email for any questions. Better 1-on-1 care. The nursing staff was nice, but no one took the time to read my chart before seeing me. "What are we looking at today?" was usually the 1st question. I shouldn't have to tell the nurses what I am there for each time. The most heartbreaking instance was when I was in for bleeding, actively miscarrying twins, & nurse asked me what I was there for. Take 2 minutes & read the chart!!!! I didn't see Dr. at this visit, even though she was aware I was coming in. I was lucky enough to get a grant for IVF, the check was sent directly to the office. The 1st one for $10K and the office staff/billing dept. lost it. I called for literally weeks looking for it (tracking info said it was delivered). No one knew, & everyone I spoke to was irritated to deal w/me. I was told that it wasn't there & I needed to figure it out. A few days later, I was told it was "sitting on someone's desk" & was never put in system. Fine, mistakes happen. But, same experience w/the second check. Next, I again was lucky enough to have $7K in meds from a VA pharmacy sent for free. All refrigerated. I spoke to my nurse beforehand & was told it was fine to pick them up at the office. I was again calling for days looking for the meds & spoke to at least 5 different people who had no idea where they were. A consistently rude & unhelpful woman named Colleen in billing had the nerve to ask me "Are you sure you're actually a patient here?" on one of the calls. I nearly lost it. Next day, they are "found in a fridge" that no one looked in, out of the original box. My husband went to pick them up, & watched the staff get from a hallway. I'm not convinced the meds were ever in a fridge at all. My retrieval that round came back with nothing... Next, the billing staff repeatedly coded one of my medications incorrectly to insurance for weeks. I told them multiple times (after spending hours talking to insurance) that the meds needed to be billed through my medical, not pharmacy benefit. I was told they didn't know how to do that. The back & forth, lack of effort, & timeline squeeze, resulted in me coming out of pocket $2500 for 1 injection so my transfer could happen on time. 2nd time I had to get it I started the fight with the billing department a month early, and magically they did it correctly = $0, covered by insurance. The girl in billing was incredibly rude to me & told me that I should've had my nurse confirm how it was being coded, & it was my fault I didn't alert more people the 1st time. I was in the office trying to get documentation of the submittal for my reimbursement claim, & I had to argue with her for 30 mins to get my own documents. I went to one of the 5 retrievals and on my way into the office, I stepped on a bag of blood vials outside the building on the ground. I think this is more the runner's fault than the office, but it was just another issue in failed process. Patients' bloodwork results can be time sensitive & it would have enraged me if my cycle was pushed back because of such a careless mistake. Plus, names were on the vials. I turned it into the nurses, I got a "meh" response & didn't feel like it was important to them. Different retrieval, we were using frozen sperm, I had already gone back for the procedure, and my husband was called to give a fresh sperm sample. He explained we were using frozen sperm, & the nurses were unaware. Retrieval was unsuccessful, I wonder if this contributed. Broken process/bad communication. TJ at the front desk should be retrained to work in the service industry, particularly one so expensive & emotionally burdensome on the patient. I might as well have been buying a car w/how unconcerned she was with my questions. Halfway rude. Theres more but out of space. I wasted time, eggs, & $$ here. Spend $$ elsewhere w/individualized care & plan updates.
