    $1,411.83 for a 5 min Covid swab
    Frank S.

Google My Business shows this place to be a COVID-19 testing center. We schedule an appointment online, bring in our daughter, she gets the swab and we go... maybe 5 minutes. A month later we get the statement from insurance only to find we were charged $1411.83 FOR A COVID swab! At no time ever did they say they were at an emergency center and that they would charge emergency room prices. All they ever said was, "Are you here for your Covid test?" Furthermore, they swabbed our daughter in the hall. We never even went into a room. Make your own decision if this is the type of place you want to visit. They just changed their name and the old name is still on the building.

I was treated in the hospital a few days ago i came around 2am in the morning the whole entire staff was very sweet and concerned.the night doctor was one of the best doctors I have ever had.So fast forward to today I came to get checked during day shift it's 1:40pm the lady at the front desk was half way rude didn't speak or anything ok so I brush it off they call me to the back a black lady doctor with twist in her head comes in very rude she says so what seems to be the issue like excuse me ,I tell her the problem she says well why are you here we don't see people for pregnant issues,I dont understand why you came back here for a check up as if I'm in the wrong she gets a attitude rolls her eyes at me ,then ask so what's hurting on you likeeee what tf do you mean I would like someone to contact me regarding the day shift team because they all were 0 starts I have never in my life been treated so poorly everrr

They go out of their way to take excellent care of you. Would never go back to a hospital ER again.

Texas Health Presbyterian Plano - Labor & Delivery 5 Stars…read more December 17, 2025 Our second birth experience here was significantly better than our first. We had an excellent delivery team, and our doctor, Dr. Garrett H. Garner, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., has now delivered both of our babies. He is skilled, calm, and professional -- but also funny, informative, and great at keeping things light even in the delivery room, which helped make a normally stressful situation feel much more relaxed. We are very grateful for the level of care he provides. The nursing staff was attentive, kind, and helpful throughout labor, delivery, and recovery, and we appreciated their support and communication during our stay. Our recovery room was smaller than the one we had during our first delivery, but it was also noticeably cleaner, which made a positive difference during our postpartum stay. As a fun note, I made my wife the viral Mommy Mocktail (Sprite, cranberry juice, and orange juice) that has been trending on TikTok, and she enjoyed it during recovery. We are grateful for Dr. Garner, our delivery team, and the nursing staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Plano, and we would recommend this labor and delivery team to other families.

Let me note 90% of what i am about to say was attitude or comments or actions by the techs not the nursing staff. I had a tech with me one night - one of my first nights off of the ventilator who decided to blare music all night. And then I caught them drinking thinking I didn't notice. I reported them and the nurse laughed me off. The next morning for shift change they found liquor bottles in the back where they were.. not so funny now HUH? To my knowledge the hospital took appropriate measures once the alcohol was found. Obviously being in a hospital and not being able to get up and walk and use a restroom is mortifying enough on its own, to hear staff complaining and saying "i don't wana do it" as they call someone else in... 1000x more embarrassing. If you're not comfortable with your job you shouldn't be in this line of work. While also having another one who was cleaning me up saying outloud "be professional.. be professional... be professional... to themselves while I'm exposed, extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. I had nursing staff and techs in my room treating me like absolute trash because i couldn't sleep. They literally threatened to put me back on a ventilator the next day if i didn't "shut up and go to sleep" the tech was sitting behind me on the phone with the nurse talking crap right in front of me Then they got so annoyed with me not sleeping, the nurse came in and administered what I believe was called propofol. Apperantly there was an order for it left on my chart from when i was on a ventilator. When my dad showed up the next morning i couldn't speak. All day i was completely out of it unable to put sentences together. I feel like it would take me 5 or more minutes to get out one single word He found out what they gave me and was LIVID. And that's the day they decide to move me out of icu into the main hospital!? I was on a ventilator for i think somewhere around 9 days and in icu for 12. I only had respiratory therapy one time, ONE TIME during my whole recovery stay did they come in with a breathing machine and a tube to practice getting strength back in my lungs. (Please note i had severe pneumonia that completely took over one lung and spread to the other) They moved me to the main floor, promised my dad i would be there at least 5-7 days before being released and he had time to run home (5 hours away) to get clothes and come back. What do you know... they release me after 2 days. I had seen PT twice. Once they came in after the propofol and I was unable to function or do anything the next day they strapped me on to a walker and i could barely get to the bathroom alone. Then they freaking discharged me. No notice to get my dad back in town No continued PT to get me used to being on my feet again before going home. No continued respiratory therapy. Nothing. They did not even send me home with any referrals to set up my own follow ups for respiratory therapy and pt my dad had to call and chase those down. I had to learn to walk, eat, drink, talk, breathe, everything all over again all on my own and should have had way more support in that process. I did have a few techs that were great I wish I remembered some of their names to shout them out. Again, the ICU doctors and medical team who cared for me in my time on the ventilator were incredible and absolutely saved my life (and they are the only reason this is not a one star review) but the rest of the staff and my experience after that.. a literal nightmare. I would absolutely never come back here for hospital care after the way i was treated by staff. And the things I mentioned above isn't even all of what happened. My dad had his own set of complaints of things he dealt with while i was ventilated and shortly after waking up. We were told the director at the hospital would call him to go over complaints shortly after i was released.. but did they? Nope. Did ANYONE call to try and address the things that happened? Nope! DO BETTER YALL! You have some life saving doctors in ICU. Give their patients proper care and respect after their part is done!!

Kelsea was so great, im terrified of needles and she did an excellent job with my iv, she was calm and so nice throughout, talked me through my Ct scans as i get anxiety. She deserves a gold star! Vee... there's not enough nice, great things i can say about her. She was gentle, explained everything to me throughly through out every step of my visit. She answered all my questions, was patient, and looked beautiful doing it! She's a rock star! Dr. Timothy Laseter was so so great! I've never had a better experience with a doctor. He listened, he cared, explained his findings, and gave me his recommendations on how to move forward in my treatment and circumstance. I wish I could make him my primary care doctor. The entire team made me feel cared for, important, and not like just another number or bother. I would have given them 5 stars and feel guilty not but my issue was with Priya (i believe was her name) at the front desk. After having a headache, in pain, and being in an auto accident, all she cared about was how they were going to get paid and that i didn't have a claim number yet. She threw alot of information at me while I was in a confused and dizzy state and demanded i get a claim number before I left. So while I was in treatment I got on my insurance app and filed a claim instead of focusing on my treatment. As I was leaving, she stopped me to again tell me about the claim number which I filed out once I got it. I literally had to point it out to her while I was under the influence of medication that I did what she insisted while being treated. She then told me that if the party at faults insurance did not pay, I would be responsible after I went through all the trouble with my insurance while in pain and not fully there mentally. I feel as though she could have been more compassionate and understanding considering my circumstances, mental and physical state. I was very disappointed in her condescending and unprofessional manner towards me when I was just trying to get treated for my injuries. It was clear all she cared about was that they were ensured they would be paid. Her customer service skills need to be reminded to her, especially being the first and last person the patient deals with. Other than that, my there was beyond my expectations and highly recommend them to family and friends!

Our initial check-in process was okay as the guy at the front desk kind a struggle on how to intake and process patient under insurance accident claim even though we provided with everything. He had to call someone (probably manager or owner) to get guidance. His overall customer service and attitude were good though. After a short wait my wife was called inside. There was this old East Asian female doctor who started to diagnose my wife. She had an accent and was little difficult to understand. Her bed side manners were lacking also as she started to ask my wife personal questions in a very loud voice. I am pretty sure everybody outside the room have heard all the private conversation pretty clearly. They also have this African American female nurse who took/checked my wife's vitals and she had a very thick accent and was difficult to understand. After checking everything both, the doctor and nurse, left the room by stating that X-ray/MRI will be done and to wait for that. We thought it will be a quick wait, but that is where poor communication really started. An hour passed and nobody came in the room to say or check anything. We thought there might be other patients that came after us and they got busy but looking outside the room, we didn't see nobody. Instead we saw both, the doctor and nurse, sitting at the desk and doing something on the computer! Upon a polite inquiry, we were told the same thing by the nurse to just wait for the technician for the X-ray/MRI. After another hour passed of uncomfortable waiting, we had enough and went outside to ask what is really going on and what is the wait for. This is where we were finally told that they were waiting on the technician to show up from the other facility which is anywhere in the DFW area and have no idea how long it will be! This facility doesn't have their own in-house laboratory technician. They have a contracted/on call technician that only comes whenever there is a need and a call is made. Problem with this approach is that this technician can be anywhere in DFW area and may not come for several hours with traffic and everything else! We would not have minded so much if we would have been communicated clearly about this technician scenario at the beginning. They knew patient is already frustrated and low in patience due to whatever happened, why not be clear about the delay and everything to avoid any confusion? Doctor then came in the room and had the audacity to tell us that these things takes time and to have patience! I thought we will get some apology for their poor communication but the doctor was not in the mood for that at all! After waiting of more than 2 hours, technician finally showed up and X-ray/MRI was performed. It took over 3 hours and we got out of there in no time! There was still no patient that we saw when walking out. We were not charged and never got any bill or call from them (hopefully not in the future either) after our visit and I believe they have dealt directly with the insurance company. I may or may not go here in the future. They definitely need to improve their communication with the patient.

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am writing to share feedback regarding my hospital stay following surgery on Monday, January 19, 2026. I was hospitalized on January 19 and 20 and discharged on January 21, 2026. Overall, my experience from pre-op through recovery and the PCU was positive and supportive. However, my interaction with a Medical Assistant named Wendy during the night shift on January 20, 2026, was deeply concerning. From the beginning of her shift, Wendy's behavior felt dismissive and unprofessional. During her first set of vital signs, she did not introduce herself or acknowledge me. I had to stop her to ask who she was. Throughout the night, she rolled her eyes, slammed doors during early morning vital checks, and created unnecessary noise during a time when patients are trying to rest. When I needed assistance getting out of bed, I was made to feel like an inconvenience for asking. Because of the bed alarm, my husband could not safely help me. Later, when my husband asked if he could get ice water for himself, her response was visibly frustrated. She huffed and slammed the door as she left the room. About twenty minutes later, she returned to reconnect me to monitoring equipment and appeared irritated with how my pillows were positioned. She removed two twined blankets and placed them on my chest, leaving my arms and legs exposed. When I asked for more ice water, she replied that she had just given me some. I explained that the water had been for my husband. She rolled her eyes and walked away without addressing my request. I reported my concerns to the nurse in charge. From that point forward, the care I received from Nurse Eirene was outstanding. She treated me with dignity, compassion, and professionalism, consistent with how she had cared for me throughout the shift. Approximately one hour before shift change on January 21, Wendy returned to take my final vital signs and offered a quiet apology. She stated that the ice water issue was due to confusion, saying she thought I was NPO, despite the fact that my surgery had occurred two days prior and she had seen me eating dinner. She also said her behavior stemmed from being passionate about patient care. The apology did not align with her repeated actions throughout the night and did not feel reflective of accountability. I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years, including 20 years as a medic in the United States Air Force. I understand the realities of night shift work and the demands placed on staff. Even so, dismissive behavior and lack of basic courtesy should never be part of a patient's experience, especially for someone recovering from surgery. I am sharing this feedback out of professional responsibility, not anger. No patient should feel like a burden or hesitate to ask for help. I hope this experience is reviewed and addressed appropriately. I would also like to acknowledge the many staff members who provided excellent care and made my stay worthwhile. Sheila, Marisol, Maria, Kelcey, Eirene, and Tierra each demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and attentiveness that truly mattered during my recovery. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. Sincerely, Dr. Giselle Moody

When I arrived at the…read moreemergency room tell me why my dad smelled of a combination of urine, blood, and bile, and no one thought to try and make sure it was sanitary for my dad so it didn't lead to an infection. I went in the emergency room with my sister only to find my dad unconscious with blood around his neck, and the nurses verbatim said "If I knew he was having visitors I would've changed his sheets" well you should've changed them anyway??? What does me being there have to do if you give a patient clean sheets. At some point he gets transferred to ICU, they put all the oxygen in his veins, all the medical equipment they can possibly attach to him. They have trouble getting him to stabilize, however in the midst of hooking up all the machines to him like the oxygen there's five doctors in the room initially. They tell us they're still running tests he is highly sensitive and to let him rest and wait in the waiting room. I barely get any updates unless it came from the head of the ICU, and even then it's just bad news after bad news. His body doesn't stabilize, he enters cardiac arrest, and he passes away. So after watching my dad physically leave this earth, I'm waiting for the Chaplin to arrive. I never had to deal with death to this capacity before. I'm waiting atleast a hour + on the Chaplin to arrive. Finally when he does arrive he gives a grievance folder and basically says hey you have to choose immediately if you're going to burry him, cremate him etc. I'm still waiting on his ashes, but since the hospital doesn't follow protocol and isn't under compliance we have a funeral checking in on our behalf , so I can properly grieve in peace. His name is Daniel Dwayne Heskett and he died at the age of 61. I truly believe in this case it was hospital negligence. Thank you for your time. A grieving daughter Ann Elizabeth Heskett UPDATE : So under Texas law the death certificate should've been filed by Jan 8th. The doctor has signed Jan. 9th. The only reason why the doctor had signed on Jan. 9th is because I had to call pastoral care and speak with the Chaplin to ask why my dad's death certificate still hasn't been sign. Only for the doctor to text the Chaplin "I'm sorry I'll do that today" Jan. 8th I sent an email to patient relation wanting to be provided with the reasoning as to why the death certificate signature took so long, why was there a delay when cause of death was natural / cardiac arrest. Never did I receive a response back from the hospital. The Chaplin just tells me that the doctor is busy. Busy? Too busy to sign a death certificate and follow Texas law protocol when it comes to the dead? That's interesting. I'm filing a complaint against this hospital, and I'm also filing a review for my dad's death certificate to get a reason as to why it took so long file his death certificate. It's sad that the hospital doesn't keep you informed and for someone like me who hasn't gone through death in this capacity before have to call and make sure people are doing their job. But hey maybe this will inform others not to take their love ones here if they can help it
