Headfirst Movers saved me!!! I had rented a 24ft Budget truck and was ditched by another moving company promising they would be at my place at 8 the morning of 8/12/11. My wife and I started putting all the boxes in the garage along with all the small pieces of furniture. After 3 hours of waiting i said this is enough and search around the internet for same day service movers in San Diego. We had to be out of the house that same day for the carpet cleaners to arrive the very next morning. No way could we wait another day. I found Headfirst Movers, loved the website and the feedback they had here on yelp so i called Hector hoping and praying he could help me with my situation. I called but went to voice mail and left a URGENT message. Within 10 minutes Hector sent me a text apologizing for the missed call and was able to help me out at 3pm. He was in the middle of another move while i called and was very close to Bay Park. He called me 20 mins later to go over details and confirm for 3pm. AWESOME!!!!! $60/hr with a two hour minimum for two movers. No hidden charges. Great Rates! Hector and Nick arrived to my house at 2:45 with all the moving equipment needed to complete my move. They also provided free use of shrink wrap, tape and tie down rope for the truck at no extra cost!!!! My 2 bedroom house, office, living room, kitchen, garage and patio/backyard furniture was professionally loaded and tied down in my 24ft budget truck in a little less then 3 hours!!! A set of stairs was involved coming in and out of the house. We got about 3 pieces of furniture well over 200 pounds each. Hector and Nick made good use of the blankets we rented from budget truck rental and wrapped every piece of furniture we had in blankets, tape and shrink wrap. They had no trouble what so ever with any of my furniture. Headfirst Movers did a fantastic job! Everything went perfect and nothing went wrong once we arrived to Dallas TX. No damages to our belongings!!!!! Search no longer! Ive moved about 5 times in the last 15 years and i got to say Headfirst Movers has been the best moving experience for me. Not only did they did a great job on my move but also Hector's word is bond, not ditching me like the other company i originally hired. Thank You: Hector and Nick, Can't thank you enough for saving us from our moving situation. read more

I recently moved to Las Veags from San Diego. Found Headfirst Movers on yelp and saw they were among the highest 5 star rating on here. I lived in a 2 bedroom house in Clairemont with a whole lot of stuff. "WOW, how did I end up with so much stuff!!???" I called Hector(Owner of Headfirst Movers) on a Monday to schedule my move that same Thursday (8/11/11). I needed 2 big strong guys. Some of my heaviest items are a sofa bed, refrigerator and washer and dryer and a 3 piece entertainment center. I have already made arrangements with PODS for a full size POD container for that Thursday. Hector replied with a "Not a problem, just give us a time and we'll be there" He also answered any questions that i had and told me a little bit about his company. He quickly won my vote. Thursday Moving Day: My movers were Moises and Hector!(really? the owner is here!). They took 5 minutes to look at my items/furniture, made a game plan and quickly got to work. About 1 1/2 hours in to my move. The POD was already half way loaded and there wasn't much stuff left. These guys were seriously flying through my move. They easily carried my furniture from the house to the POD. No water brakes or nothing! 45 minutes later my POD was fully loaded. They supplied me with free rope and made sure they sucured my stuff. They treated my stuff with great care. My POD arrived Saturday to Las Vegas(8/13/11) and nothing even moved a inch. Outstanding work guys! All you yelpers worried about hiring some movers??? Call these guys. Very strong, hardworking, neat young guys. I was suprised how young they are.(24-26 years old). Plus they are very friendly and easy to work with. Thank you Hector and Moises for making everything so easy. I had never hired movers before, you guys ROCK! I won't be surprised if Headfirst Movers is rated number 1 moving company in San Diego in a couple years from now. Karla read more

I had Hector and Bruce (Headfirst movers) assist me with my move which was a uhaul load in Carlsbad. I found Hector and his services on craigslist and really liked his rates and what his company had to offer. After viewing his website and the great customer feedback he has recieved, i knew these we're the guys i wanted. I called Hector on a friday evening hoping he could help me out monday morning. Luckily Hector and Bruce were available for my move and they estimated my load to be completed in 2 hours. The price for two hours was $120 with no hidden charges and they supplied shrink wrap, rope, furniture dollies, tools and more at no extra cost to me. Moving day: Hector and Bruce arrived to my carlsbad home 15 minutes early and were ready to work. Both are really friendly, neat guys and have a great eye packing uhaul trucks. I rented a 17ft truck which i really needed a 14ft truck or less after they did a outstanding job loading my boxes and heavy bedroom furniture. Hector and Bruce didn't even take two hours to complete my move, they did it 1 1/2 hours with a house full of lazy room mates :). I arrived to Salt Lake City Utah the next day, no damages to my stuff at all! Nothing even moved a inch! I wrote Hector a email after i was settled in my new place and asked him where i can write him a review. He mentioned he started using Yelp this year and i could write a review there. I never heard of yelp before but i quickly signed up to give these great guys a great review. Thank you so much for your outstanding work Hector and Bruce! If i ever move back to San Diego, I will use your service again! read more

I recently hired Headfirst movers to help with a move from Pacific beach to a storage unit in MIssion Valley. I contacted Hector for a price quote a just a few days before the move date and was told $60 an hour for two movers and they would be able to move my stuff the day I wanted with no hidden charges. Hector and his partner Bruce were the ones to come and help me move. They showed up right on time, did a quick walkthrough, and got right to work. During the move I noticed that they really seemed to care about my stuff (no dropping anything or banging walls like some other movers i have had) which was a welcome suprise. A few hours later they were done with my move and the grand total was $210 for my full, one bedroom apartment. I was very pleased with the job and the price as well. They did a great job, and I was very happy I went with them to move my house. As a side note they do require you to rent your own moving truck which may tend to initially scare some away. Don't be! I got a U-haul for the day and it came out to $34. No biggie. I move a lot due to being in the military and for a good of job as these guys do, I would (and will) definitely use them again. read more

I needed all the furniture and stuff moved out from my master bedroom, son's room, and home office into a POD so that the rooms could be painted at re-carpeted. Hector, the owner of Headfirst Movers, and his crew-mate came to move everything, and a week later they came back after the carpeting was done to move it all out of the POD and back upstairs. I strongly recommend Headfirst Movers. From start to finish, I give them an A+. Hector, the owner, was super-available before and during the job. I was very impressed by how quickly and helpfully he answered texts and phone calls. As it turned out, Hector himself was part of the team during the two moves. Both he and his crew were really capable and experienced. I felt like all my stuff was in very good hands. They were careful and clean and prepared. They were super-careful carrying big pieces down the stairs and in how they arranged everything in the POD. They were also extremely pleasant to have around; I really enjoyed having them at my house and didn't want them to leave! Hector is very hard-working, honest, and clear in his business practices. He holds his crew to the same high standard. read more

Headfirst movers are the BEST way to go! My husband and I were moving into an apartment last week but it was up in the air as to when we would move. Hector was so flexible and very easy to work with. HE assured me over and over that we would they would be able to help us even on short notice. The guys that he sent were Felix and Zack and they were wonderful! They were on time- 7 am sharp and started to get the job done. It was the quickest and most sufficient move I've ever experienced. I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time and nervous about getting moved before the baby. The guys helped to set up all of our furniture in its proper place before leaving. they were SO professional and VERY AFFORDABLE! They worked for 5 hours straight and barely took a break! I was very pleased and would highly highly recommend them to anyone moving in the future :) read more

I hired Hector and team to help move a family member from a 5 bedroom house to another 5 bedroom house less than 1 mile away. We already had a Penske box truck. We just needed a labor moving service and these guys were just what we were looking for. Hector, David, Martin and Felix showed up 10 minutes early, saw what we had and got straight to work. Most of the furniture upstairs is really heavy and the staircase had a tight turn but these guys moved everything down stairs without a problem. The past movers damaged the walls and furniture so I told Hector to try his best not to hit the walls. The move went perfect! All four of them are true moving professionals. Now that I remember, I don't even think they took a break the whole time. Thanks once again guys! I'll be moving in 6 months. I'm definitely hiring Headfirst Movers. read more

On short notice last weekend, I moved my small office from one side of Encinitas to the other - I had a couple of special requests, so I talked to the guy on the phone and by email, and he was very professional and responsive. Still, I always worry that there will be hidden costs, or some hitch. Far from it: the two guys showed up on the dot, wrapped and loaded the furniture quickly, and did a final walkthrough to make sure that they had gotten all of my stuff but none of the items that were to be left behind. After quickly and carefully placing everything in the new space, they showed me the bill: exactly the minimum, minus the cash discount. They then dropped off some large items at Goodwill and that was that. The movers were polite and efficient, and it was the easiest move I've ever had. Highly recommended. read more

I hate packing and moving so I looked on Craigslist for some help. I am so thankful I came across Headfirst Movers. Hector and Ariel showed up with a smile on their face. They were on time and extremely professional; I even offered them a beer and they politely declined because their main focus was to safely and carefully get my stuff from point a to point b. They didn't rush and loaded everything I owned with care; they treated my stuff as if it was theirs. They made moving painless. If you're looking for a moving company that is reliable, treats your stuff with care and delivers with a smile, Headfirst Movers is the company you've been looking for. If I could, I would give these guys 10 stars because they're even better than a "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" read more

When I first dealt with Headfirst Movers I was very impressed with how fast and efficient they were. We had never hired movers before because we assumed it would cost a fortune. We later found out how much they charged and realized that the price was very well worth the help. When the opportunity presented itself to move we didn't hesitate to call them. They disassembled and wrapped every piece of furniture, loaded and unloaded the rental truck with no hidden fees. These guys worked nonstop for 3 1/2 hours without breaks. There is no doubt that these guys helped us move in half the time it would have taken us to move. I will never again break my back trying to move. From this point forward Headfirst Movers is who we will call to get the job done. read more

Hector could not make my move today however he sent out Felix and Dave who obviously were two very skilled professional movers. I got the truck a bit early and texted Hector and the guys showed up early! They went right to work once I showed them what was being moved etc.. They moved like gazelles, quickly and efficiently doing a great job. Wrapping some items I didn't think needed done yet they wanted to make sure everything went well. Packed the 15' truck without a space left top to bottom and off we went. The whole thing took less than 3 hours when it could have been 4 easily but these guys were not into taking breaks or moving slowly. All in all if I ever move again, these are the guys I want doing it for sure. Great well done job!!! read more

After a mess of issues and shdy business with 2 other companies, I got out of these contracts unscathed and hired Hector and his company at the advice of Derek. Best choice I could have made. They were on time professional and took care of my things. Most importantly there were responsive. I knew what was going in from the moment I made the reservation to the conclusion of the appointment. I was tremendously stressed out regarding the trickery other companies had me going through so I just really appreciate the straightforwardness and hard work. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that wants to start there jobs on time and be clear about what they are being Charged. Thank you so very much Hector. read more

Hector and his crew helped us in May 2020. They loaded our moving truck with all of our furniture and boxes. Hector was super responsive all the time whenever I texted or emailed him in regards to our dates and times we were juggling. He was really flexible and easy to get straight forward, accurate information from. His crew was really nice and those guys truly worked their butts off. They wrapped all of our furniture so well, it was very well protected during the move. Our furniture was in perfect shape when we reached our destination, we were on the road for about 6-7 hours with that truck. I would recommend him to anyone and definitely would use them again if we were in the area. Thank you Hector! read more

I never write reviews, but had to this time. Hector and David are phenomenal. I needed to clear my garage of a lifetime of stuff so it could be renovated. Hector was available on short notice. He and David arrived on time, and helped pack up and store a whole messy garage full of stuff in less than 3 hours. Everything was secured and carefully wrapped and handled, and I was amazed that they were able to pack the container so efficiently and effectively. I couldn't be more pleased at the excellent communication, efficient and effective service, the professional treatment, and the courtesy and consideration Head First Movers showed me and my belongings. Thank you guys!! read more

This is the best, most reasonable moving company we've ever had the pleasure of hiring. Hector is responsive, flexible, and the workers he hired, Abraham and Robert, were excellent. Safety is a priority for us and they wore masks and maintained an appropriate distance throughout the move. They went above and beyond by carefully assembling our furniture and making sure that all parts were accounted for. I'm pretty precise in my furniture arrangement and they were very patient with me needing things to be perfectly in place. We will definitely refer them to anyone and although we aren't planning another move for a very long time, I would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

I hired Headfirst Movers to organize my mother's garage. Mostly putting items and boxes and moving things aside for a dump truck. I called at least 6 companies and they all recommend Headfirst Movers for my unique job. Hector was the person I spoke with and setting up reservation was very easy. Three movers came and got straight to work. I supplied the boxes but they supplied packing tape and plastic shrink wrap at no extra cost to me. Everything was included in a hourly rate. No extra fees. Simple!!! After half a day working in one of the hottest days of the year, my mother's garage looked amazing! We can now actually walk and store more stuff :) Great job team! read more

This company is incredible! As everyone has noted, there are no hidden charges, and you know upfront exactly how much you will be paying. I was quoted a very reasonable price, and I paid exactly that much. No extra charges for stairs, heavy items, long distance, etc. What I loved the most about this moving company is their attitude. The guys helping us with our move were so positive and friendly! Moving can be so stressful, yet, they had such an amazing attitude that we couldn't help but feel happy all day long. They did every task with a smile on their faces, even when asked to rearrange the same furniture 3 times. Incredibly patient and professional! read more

"I found about this fantastic service from my roommate. Hector moved her about a year before moving me. All i had to do is rent the moving truck which wasn't a problem. I know moving companies with trucks charge double time for driving and that can end up costing hundreds. I also had to make a extra stop to my mothers house to pick up a few pieces of furniture which was totally fine with Hector. I thought i would need 3 movers to speed things up but Hector recommended 2 for apartment moves, 3 movers would just get in eachothers way. GREAT TIP and it saved me some money! I already told my good friends about Headfirst movers. read more

We have moved six times in 11 years unfortunately for us, but we feel we can speak about moving companies. We did not find Headfirst until two moves ago, but we are so glad we did! These guys work so hard. There is not stopping to joke around, no stopping to talk. They packed a 1900 square foot house in 2.5 hours with only 3 guys. Nothing was broken either. The price was amazing and Hector was able to add a few things on very short notice. Great response also for when you reach out. Hector will get back to you ASAP. Love this company and will always refer them to others! read more
