He was super friendly and attentive, and he even kept us updated with his ETA, which was definitely a huge plus and very helpful. When he arrived, he did a diagnostic on the unit. It turned out the pressure was perfectly fine, and all we needed to do was change the filter because it was extremely dirty and was causing the AC to not blow cool air. Here's the crazy part: my fiancé had called another company the night before, and their technician gave us a $1,100 quote for "high maintenance" on the unit. I showed the quote to Kevin, and he was completely honest with us and told us that our AC was working perfectly fine and that we didn't need any of those services! I'm honestly so glad I called Kevin. As someone who doesn't know much about AC systems, it's easy to feel pressured into paying for services you may not actually need. This experience was a great reminder to always get a second (or even third) opinion. As for Kevin, you can absolutely trust his honesty, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help. Thus, when our 20+ year AC unit went south on us recently, Manny's was the first place I called. After giving a quite reasonable and competitive estimate, I set things up with Cecelia....who arranged to have Andrew and his crew come out several days later. Along with arriving right on time, they worked fast and diligently moving out the the very large and heavy unit that I've used for many years, and then setting up the new one. In this regard, I should also mention, on Manny's advice, we switched from gas to electric...which seems to work far better than our previous unit which relied on gas. In addition, given the fact that our ducts were showing some of the wear and tear of the past 20-years (which included a few puncture holes in them), I arranged to with Manny to have a crew return to replace them. Again, the pricing was competitive and the job was done in less than a day. It's also worth mentioning that along with a very polite and courteous crew, everything in our backyard was left exceptionally clean. Also as I've learned more about HVAC, the capacitor that was changed is worth about $30... pretty simple and common fix. I have a 10 year parts warranty on my unit, should've just called them or my original AC guy who installed it. Dropping nearly 5 bills was a lesson learned.
