The best and most reliable and affordable service for Porsches. Dod wonders on my 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo. Dives like new. Call Ernesto the owner and he'll do you Justice.

    Porsche 911

I have been here a few times since I moved to Los Angeles with my older 911 Ernesto was very thorough and attentive to the needs of the car and far more reasonable in pricing than shops in the area. Over time he has taken my car from a decent car to an excellent example of what the quality of the brand is known for. If you have a porsche in this area and you're in need of any kind of maintenance or repair, this is your guy.

Satisfied! My experience with HD is 100% pleased. Ernesto is a knowledgable and skillfull mechanic willing to go to anything length to solve and fix your vehicle needs. He loves what he does and for sure he will treat your car and you with the highest respect. I will not take my Porsche any where else.

My Carrera GTS was in need of the major service at 30,000 miles. I have always serviced at that Rusnak Pasadena But since the warranty on the vehicle was over I didn't want to pay close to $3000 for that service at the dealership. So I started my search on Yelp Or certified Porsche service shop and I hadn't heard about the coupleShops near Pasadena that my friends had taken the car still but after comparing the prices HD Motorwerks Price was the lowest and of course the numerous positive reviews also helped my decision Visit Ernsesto at Hd Motorwerks . Service was quick, the vehicle what was inspected overall, and it was washed at the end as well. Will definitely be back in the future And will definitely recommend it to friends. Thanks very much for your service Ernesto!

This place is GEM! Had mostly bad experience with rusnak porsche since 2015 when we had our first porsche, the dealership is too small and too busy, and so they always run out of loaners and repair schedules were always delayed. Whenever we raised an issue their first response is always that the customers are paranoid and didnt know how porsches work..and cars always come back filthy and uncared for. Over the years we started adding boxster, 911s, gt3 etc. so we started to try a few indy shops around town. Places like House Automotive provided great service but the price is the same as the dealer, which is probably as high as you can get. Others are so busy everything's by appointment, no followups and they expect you to just drop off your car sitting in the sun and gathering dust (which i hate, being OCD). Often times you cant even reach the mechanic himself, but all conversations are handled by a receptionist who cant answer any questions. And I am sure we all ran into mechanics who dont really care about your business and they sound like you owe them money.... That led me to HD Motorwerks, saw them on yelp and called. Went over the issues I had on the phone and they had availability to look at it in the next 2 hours. They gave an initial estimate which was lower than others, and with the faster response, decided to give them a try. Arrived at the shop a few hours later. The shop was pretty clean which was a very nice sight. They had quite a number of cars blocking the bays, and yet they remember that I called earlier and without hesitation started moving cars out of the way and got my car on the lift to start the diagnosis. Long story short, we thought it's something simple but we spent about 3 hours diagnosing the issue together until closing time and eventually decided we had a faulty part and has to come back another day. What impressed me is Ernesto's attitude and positive energy, he's always smiley-faced and despite the difficulties we had in the diagnosis he kept trying different ways to approach the issue and giving off a very positive vibe. His assistant has an extremely nice personality as well, always offering water etc. and is very careful around the cars. I dont see that at all in other mechanics, at least they certainly dont spend 3 hours doing that with me right next to him. With half a dozen sports cars of all different brands, I have seen quite a spectrum of them. In the end, the diagnosis he charged me is more than fair and at least we got to the root of the problem. At that point I know I have found my porsche guy (for the 911s and GT cars), someone who's honest, trustworthy, knows what he's talking about and yet doesnt have an attitude about it like a Mr Know-it-all, is respectful, positive and pay attention to details. I returned a week later with a warranty and had him take care of all the other issues I had with the car. I told him about my OCD and what to look out for, he took notes and actually paid attention to my request. The repair took about 2 weeks, with the warranty inspection and waiting for parts etc.,all the meanwhile Ernesto kept me updated about the progress. Before I pick up my car, Ernesto offered to wash it, I asked if they do it in house and they said yes (many places send cars to other places for quick car wash and sometimes end up with scratches or blemishes that's hard to trace due to different locations and personnel handling the car, with inconsistent quality). I let them do it and when I picked up the car, it was spotless! the interior was clean and dust free and had no odor. No hand prints on the steering wheel or leathers. Dealerships and other mechanics have lots to learn from this place. I highly recommend HD motorwerks as my go-to porsche guy, and more importantly, I hope they keep this up. With their customer service and performance I am sure they will get way busy soon.

At the end I thought they were gonna say they were done, instead they come back and tell me they messed up my oil plug, the oil is now leaking, and they can't even change my oil. They said I need to go to a mechanic and they can't fix it. I asked to speak to the manager, and he was polite about it, but made it sound like it was my truck's fault and not their's. He told me my oil pan was rusted and that's why the plug broke, and I would need a mechanic to replace the oil pan immediately as it was actively leaking oil. I took it to a mechanic that I trust and have used a bunch before, he and a 2nd mechanic both looked at it and said the oil pan is fine and not rusted at all, and their mechanics "cross-threaded" the plug, which means they put it in crooked and messed up the threading, and that's why it's leaking. Now the threads of my oil pan are unusable, so they have to try to re-thread the pan. But they said valvoline might have broken it completely. So I might have to replace the oil pan after all. What was supposed to be a 15 minute oil change turned into a few days of no vehicle, hours of my time, and who knows how much money it will cost me in the end.

My truck is on a 12-inch lift with 42-inch tires, which basically means it's less of a truck and more of a mobile observation tower. Small children look at it the way people look at monster trucks at a county fair. Most oil change places take one look at it and suddenly say things like "our lift is down" or "we don't service... aircraft carriers." Not these guys. They walked out, looked up at the truck like they were inspecting a skyscraper, nodded, and got to work like it was a completely normal Tuesday. One of the techs climbed up there like a Navy SEAL scaling a building. Next thing I know, oil change done, no drama, no weird upsells, and nobody needed a ladder from Home Depot. Truck runs great, still sits high enough to change the weather pattern in Glendale, and I'll definitely be coming back. 10/10. If your truck is ridiculously tall and slightly irresponsible like mine, these are your people.

He refused to cover the $100 cost quoted by a local muffler shop to weld an extension onto the plug so it could be removed. The conversation ended with Ciro saying, "We are done, have a nice day." Very disappointing experience and poor customer service. UPDATE: I need to clarify several inaccuracies in the owner's response. I brought my vehicle to this shop for an oil change. During that visit, an employee attempted to remove the drain plug and informed me it had been damaged. I asked whether it could be repaired without making the issue worse, and I was told another shop could fix it and that customers are regularly referred there for this same issue. That referral came directly from the employee, not from me. The drain plug damage occurred while my vehicle was in this shop's care. Although the owner states that no service was completed during that visit, this was not my first oil change here. The damage occurred during a prior service performed by this business. As a customer, I should not be expected to inspect the underside of my vehicle after routine maintenance, nor would I fabricate this situation. This is why I requested accountability. Regarding the oil change interval, I was transparent about my driving circumstances and explained that I had added oil as needed until I could bring the vehicle in. This does not justify damage to the oil pan or remove responsibility for damage caused during service. The cost to resolve the issue was $100. My request was simply for the business to take responsibility for damage that occurred in their shop. Unfortunately, the conversation ended with a refusal to do so. I stand by my experience and my review.
