Hawk staff is very friendly and professional, and they stand behind their work. I had one small area from a recent repair that I was concerned with and when I brought it up months down the road, they happily took it in and made things right. They even cleaned the inside of my car for me and found a pair of my reading glasses... and those were spotless, too. I had a very poor experience with Hawk Frame & Axle. The only thing they were quick to do was deposit my check. They over promised and under delivered on both timing and cost. They did not check their final work, which was not done correctly the first go around. Because of this, I had to wait around all day for things to be corrected, forcing us to depart in our RV at night in the winter, something we were very much wanting to avoid. They were charged with some electrical diagnosis and fixes on our RV and it went completely dead on the freeway, not 15 minutes from their shop, putting myself and my young daughter in a very dangerous situation. Sadly, even after being made aware of this, they have not followed up once. I believe this company is more concerned about billing shop hours than fixing things properly. read more

I recently had my car hit and damaged in a parking lot. The repairs were luckily covered by insurance. I called several repair shops in the area and they all were booked out at least a month to even provide an estimate. One was booking 4 months out! I contacted Hawk and the employee Brandon was incredibly helpful, looked at the virtual insurance estimate, and immediately ordered the parts. He got my car into the shop the next week and performed the repairs within a week. My car looked amazing afterwards and I'm so impressed with this shop. My preferred body shop could not get my new bumper to square correctly so they reccomended that I go to Hawk Collision for a frame pull since they have better equipment. I went in, and a guy who seemed like a manager took a look at it for me and gave me a few pointers like the bracket looked dented and to try getting a new one before coming in for a frame pull. He was super cool and helpful, so have some stars for that. The trouble started when he didn't give a written printout with a clear estimate of price. Price is based on word of mouth here, which I found to be quite odd. Even after I scheduled my appointment, they still didn't give me a written estimate for how much a frame pull would cost, other than "probably not more than $500". Not wanting to cause a scene, I figured that maybe they could give me a written estimate on the day of my appointment. 2 weeks later, I show up for my appointment and the office workers ask for my keys and give a word of mouth price range of "probably $800 - $1000 grand total". They also said it would be "about $200" to take a look at it, which I do not recall being mentioned before. Against my better judgement, I gave in to letting them take a look at it, but when I asked them for an invoice for that "about $200" service, they ignored me. It was only after I grabbed my keys off their desk and walked out did they give me a printout. The invoice said it is $187 to take a look at it. I wonder if they would have charged me the $200 had I not asked for an invoice? I ended up leaving with my keys. I have been to a lot of body shops but this is the only one who could not give a printout of how much a repair - or even an estimate - might cost. Something weird going on here. Beware. read more

Was in a very bad accident. The company had my truck (which put me out of work for 5 months) and nothing was done correctly. When I finally got it back things were put together incorrectly. I brought my Silverado to Hawk after my mechanic installed new tires and was unable to get the alignment right (Camber was maxed out). I worked with Brian, despite being told by a friend to avoid working with him at all cost. They looked at my truck and called to let me now it needed new upper control arms but they would need to figure out what control arms fit because the truck has a small lift. I was told that they found the right control arms and that it would take 4 hours for the installation. I got the truck back and it STILL wasn't aligned correctly. I was told by Brian that in order for the the truck to be aligned correctly I would need to have the frame pulled (which would cost me another $800 at least) or remove the lift kit (which would also be expensive). I took the truck to a local company that specializes in lifting vehicles, they told me that Hawk put stock control arms in the truck (which was incorrect) and that they could Install the correct control arms and it would only take 2 hours. They also assured me that the frame was not bent and I didn't need to remove the lift to fix the issue. Leading me to believe Brian was just trying to get more money out of me for unnecessary services. I called Brian at Hawk and told him that I was unhappy with the work they did and that i was having it done correctly and that I wanted my money back, he never offered to fix their mistake and told me he'd get back to me, I never heard back. I had to follow up several times only to be told there was nothing they could do and that they couldn't even take the parts back. I got the correct parts installed by someone else and the truck is aligned and better than ever. I called and left a message for the manager at Hawk, only to get a call from someone else offering to take the parts back (which they previously couldn't do) and refunding half the alignment cost. The gentleman I worked with at this point (Mike) was great but I felt that his hands were tied and he could only give me back about 40% of my total cost. I was never given the opportunity to make things right and even if I was I don't think I would want Hawk to touch my truck again. I would take my son's power wheels to Hawk. read more
