This is the 2nd time I make an appointment here and have to wait over 30-40 minutes for service. To make matters worse I was blame the entire time after the service started saying that I asked for a dip not a fill therefore it was my fault because with dip it soaks 1st for 15 minutes. Why would I ask for a dip if I don't do dips. If you're late or there's confusion, clear it up, apologize and make it right. I was also cut on my cuticle and my nail has a dip and the shape is not consistent throughout my hand. I was also told not to come in a rush. Excuse me I'm not in a rush but I had an appointment and waited 40 minutes to be seen. At the end the owner apologized but still insisted on the fact that I said dip. No your employee made the mistake when they took my appt. Neither me or my daughter are returning here. She's been coming here for 2 years and they still act like they have no idea who she is. Did not enjoy my experience at all. I called ahead of time to confirm my appt for 5:15. When I get there nobody is there to greet me everybody is just staring at me. Finally somebody ask how can I help you. I wait about 30 mins before my appt actually starts. I explain everything I want to the nail tech. Immediately I can feel like she's rushing. She clips my skin a couple times and doesn't even acknowledge when I pull away from pain. The color and shape is off. Everything was rushed and I am not satisfied. I used to come here during high school whenever I would get my toes done but then when I went off to college and came back I started to go to Holland Nails Spa. Last time I got my nails done there though, it was so awful I vowed to never go back there. So today I decided to come back to this nail salon and I do not regret it at all. If anything, I questioned why I ever stopped coming here. All I got was gel polish on my nails so no manicure or massage or anything and it looks so freaking good. Nice set up but nail color and design selection is small and their English is not good at all. The lady who started was not good at all, I had to show her how to file my nails and not nail bed. And had to get the acrylic off of my cuticles and now I am left with trying peel off of my skin. I had to tell her several times that she was filing my skin!!! Seriously lady!! Lucy who finished seemed to know what she was doing as she just simply sat down and took over trying to salvage the work.. I am not pleased at all with the shape.. HOWEVER I was nicked on the top of my left pinky and my pinky and both ring fingers have broken out in a nasty fungus that I've been trying to get rid of for two months now. The girl who did my nails said they don't have breaks so perhaps the staff are too tired and hungry to get the job done well. Gel polish after 7 days had a small crack. Use to be my go to spot. I went yesterday and they lady could not give me the style I wanted but still charged me the price although I had her wipe it off. The manager said I could come back the next day to have it redone for $15 and her staff knew. I came in this morning and all I got was the color change which she said was free and and overlay for the $15 the manager said she would charge me. When it came time to pay her staff charged me $43 and now we're arguing back and forth cause they won't listen to me even though they were present yesterday when the manager told me $15. The customer service is always impeccable and they're very up to code when it comes to safety right now with the shields up for each station and the disposable liners for each pedicure. So today was my second time coming here. First time was great! Becky did my mani but today I came for a gel pedi and a basic mani...can someone tell me why I was here for 3.5 hours?!!? Okay I can't either because there was NO WAIT when I arrived at 3:30. I was immediately serviced but my nail tech was unable to get my pedi right. It was bubbled up and she continued to try it over and over. After we got it corrected by replacing the heating lamp, she rushed my mani. I requested the same color I got two weeks prior (which was the color I was wearing when she took it off my nails) and I got the wrong color. The thing that made me mad was they insisted that it was the same color!! Becky, from my first appointment came over and said the color wasnt the same and she doesn't know how the numbers got mixed up and they still tried to act like I was trippin...yeah...no!!! Today was my anniversary and I just wanted to get my toes and nails right for pics and it turned into a 3 hour ordeal. Went with my sister, my tech started my pedicure 15 minutes later but i was finished before my sister. She also drew blood and simply kept it pushing. A different tech did my gel manicure and was rough, rushing and did a horrible job. My manicure took 17 minutes, and I still can see my old polish on the sides of my nails! I showed her a picture of the style I wanted ( I wanted square narrow) she kept insisting she will do coffin. The dip color was totally not what I picked out. I had to walk out with my nails looking horrible. Not only that they were not the same shape each nail had a different shape. I called to speak to the owner and they told me to call back I did the phone was busy for 2 hours! I had to drive up there to speak to her my self, made an appointment for the next day to fix my nails. I spoke to the owner she told me she can file down my nails and keep the same tips on. I kept telling her I wanted these nails completely off and start with a new set since the color was not even near what I picked out. She kept insisting she can work on top of it very unprofessional. So I have very mixed feelings about this place. I've been here on several occasions and my experiences have been different depending on the nail tech. My first few times, I had the same lady who did my nails. She was great with me. She was pregnant at the time and I didn't see her the following times I came back. I had other techs who did my nails. I had a manicure or pedicure or both at times. I think it's pretty cool when you get both done, you are being worked on by two different techs which helps with my time management and not having to spend a long amount of time there. When I get a manicure, I will get either dip nails for special occasions and gel nails the following time or regular manicure to allow my nails a rest from the dip nails that damages my nails. My gripe is when I come back and ask to get my dip nail color removed and wanting gel nails done instead. I feel like the techs have a bad attitude towards me wanting a less expensive nail service. I don't want dip nails all time, just special occasions. I hate when it's time to take them off and how time consuming it is. The last time I had dip nails, the techs were great. One of them who was working on my pedicure even showed me her speeding ticket which I thought was hilarious. But she was super friendly and I didn't feel unwelcome. After experiencing the last visit coming to return and get the dip nail color removed and seeing a different tech, I said I was done with this place. I felt rushed by the tech. She barely pressed the button for the UV light letting the gel nails set for the time it was on and when it turned off, she didn't bother turning it back on until I placed my other hand in there. They don't feel like they set and a week, still feel weird to the touch. And then I had polish all over my hands which I let her know. She told me she couldn't really help me and to just go wash my hands at the sink. So at that point, I was really frustrated. Another insulting thing is that every time I am there and seen by a new tech, they ask me if I am Vietnamese, and I am not. Which I believe they proceed to say something. My husband also goes in and gets a simple manicure done. He took me on this day since it was for my birthday, and I felt like they had something smart to say because he was black, which to me is the very last straw. He mentioned to me after we left how he didn't feel welcomed. I feel like this place is a hit or miss, but my last few visits where I return to have the dip nail color removed were complete misses and it was enough for me to decide to find a better place. Hawaii Nails has passed 'my' 6 month probation period. I'm a loyal customer ~ a very PICKY customer and one that expects 5 Star service. I've been faithfully going every 2 weeks for 8 months. Customer Service - Great; my one take away is the managers empathy for clients. They care- they want happy customers. He walks around asking all the clients if they are ok and if there is anything he can do to to help them. He runs a tight shop; making sure all the service providers are attending to customers efficiently. Very important to note; if you are not happy with any part of your service... SAY something because they will make sure you are right before leaving. Nails - Nika does my nails - she is the BEST, very detailed, attentive & sensitive to all of my request. She makes great suggestions when I'm baffled with many ideas. Always makes sure I leave a Happy Women (which is not always easy). Pedicures - I've always been satisfied with my service I prefer Meme (the younger lady). She gets 'me' & has patience and executes with confidence. And... I LOVE the neck & shoulder pillow.. the Deluxe service is a perfect mini treat. And finally- I LOVE the loyalty program; every 100 spent gives you $5 off!!! read more

Went there today for a pedicure. My overall experience was very poor. First a technician not doing my pedi moved my purse to the floor so that she could sit in the chair next to me and watch a movie on her phone and talk with the technician completing my pedi. My pedi looks dry and old as there was no top cover added. Within minutes of finishing my pedi, the technician grabbed my shoes and walked me toward the counter to pay. The things their technicians do are not consistent, and some take shortcuts...not providing a full experience. For example, some technicians apply cuticle lotion/softener "before" cutting your cuticles and other technicians do not. Also, some technicians do not rinse your legs and feet once removed from the dirty water; and some do rinse you off. Please just be consistent...we do notice when some are doing the minimum. read more
