At my last lash appointment, I mentioned that I had really been wanting to learn to do my makeup, not just basic foundation and brows, like really do my makeup. When I said that, Christina chimed in and said I can teach you how to do your makeup. I said well, I need help probably picking out the correct color foundation and brow pencils because apparently, I don't know what color my skin really is... you pick out foundation that's too dark and your skin looks dirty, foundation to light, your skin looks ashy... So... I made a date/appointment for the following Sunday. I showed up at Lash Dolls, we (me, Brandi and Christina) hopped in the car and took a field trip to Target (I chose Target because I wanted affordable makeup just in case I didn't like something, in my mind if was $6 and I hated it, it was $6 and not $60). Christina already had in mind what colors worked for my skin tone. I brought some of my makeup with me - basically a couple of brushes, powder and a couple of eyeshadow pallets. Christina walked the aisles and carefully chose foundation (which was the perfect color), powders, blush, concealer, brushes, contour, highlight powders, etc.... basically everything I needed. I was super excited because I didn't spend a ton of money and it was actually a fun "girls outing"... We headed back to the shop and she got started, she did a step-by-step tutorial. She did one side of my face and I attempted to do the other side :) It turned out awesome! It wasn't too overdone and the process is manageable and I'm sure I can duplicate the look for my next video conference ;) So if you're looking for somewhere to get your lashes done, makeup, eyebrow waxed, skin care and have a good laugh while you're there, please stop by! The first time I came, I asked for natural looking dip and they made them very chunky and I had to have the manager file them down afterwards so they looked normal. And the lady who worked on my nails was very rude to my friend and I. The second time I went, the actual work looked good, but I they weren't following hygiene protocol and overcharged me significantly . The lady who gave my manicure was about to use used cuticle cutters on me and I had to remind her to please get a sealed sanitized bag of tools instead. Then they charged me separately for each manicure step. First they charged to remove the old dip, then they charged for the normal manicure (like filing my nails, and cutting my cuticles), plus a separate $60 charge for the gel! In total, they charged me $120!! I've gotten my nails done for several years now and in several more expensive states like California and New York and I've never been charged anything close to that high. Also, this was for a standard gel manicure without any special designs, French tip, massage, or anything like that. After all of that, their recommended tip selections were 25-30% smh

I had the hydrafacial and it was amazing. The ambience was great. She gave me the option of having her speak through and explain the process while she was performing it or to just truly relax.
