Today was my first time there. I called to see if they had any availability and the owner said to come in. So when I walked in the owner greeted me and told me a little about his business. He is very proud of his place and i liked that. I got the 60 min deep tissue. The massage at first hurt a little, but im used to that. Its because my muscles are super tense. As the massage went on it felt great! I could feel the knots in my muscles melt. I liked the peppermint smell on the face linen and i loved the smell she used on the oil she put on my face towards the end. In general it was perfect. Only thing i didnt like is i could hear someone on their cell phone outside. It ruined my quiet time, but i wont dig the business for it because they cannot control people outside. After my massage was done the lady greeted me w water. I gave her a tip and the owner gave me a very warm smile. I loved that warm touch i felt my business was appreciated and i like that. I will for sure tell my friends. The only thing i might add is not everyone is comfortable with their body and may not want their butt massaged. For those of you who feel this way, I really recommend that you give it a chance because all your muscles are connected. If your back is hurting you, you have to have your butt massaged to relieve some of that tension or if your hamstrings are really tight same thing. So let her massage it. Many newly remodeled rooms, shower, and trained therapists to choose from, with professional licenses and experience. I recommend going for the "deep tissue" or "swedish" treatments. This place was awesome. My fiancé and I made an appointment in the morning through yelp. We got the Christmas special for 39.99 each. The Christmas special included 60minute massage with hot stone; we picked a Swedish massage with hot stone. A few minutes after our reservations online we got an email confirmation and an hour later we got a text confirmation from the owner. We got there 10minutes before the appointment. The lady in the front was really nice. She went through the different types of massages they had. After everything was settled, she asked us to pay before the massage. The room was was nice and clean. Since my fiancé and I were doing a couples massage, there were two massage beds in the room. I thought the room was a little bit to small for two beds, but I guess it just makes it harder for the workers. The massage was really relaxing. My lady was really accommodating. She asked me what areas I wanted to focus on. She did a great job. But for my fiancé, I didn't really hear his lady ask him much questions. I gave this place a chance but it was terrible. The sheets have holes and are uncomfortable. I left with bites or a skin reaction of some kind on my stomach. The owner/front office manager pressured me into a larger tip than I wanted to give. To top it all off, I have been unable to get rid of the spam email messages for YEARS. They come every day and fill up my junk mailbox and occasionally slip through. If you want a relaxing experience where you feel pampered and clean, do not come here. Just had the best massage ever from Patty! She was able to pinpoint the exact muscles/tendons where I was holding all of my tension in which needed to be massaged out and stretched. She focused mainly on my neck, shoulders and back. I also thought it was nice she spent some time loosening up my wrist, which has been bothering me for the past couple of weeks from writing and taking notes. I feel like the tension and pain are completely gone! She also made an effort to speak to me and get to know me during my session in order to figure out how she can help me best which made me feel more comfortable . Well, you've guessed it folks. This is a no-frills Chinese massage place. If you're used to Burke Williams, turn around right now. The sheets are slightly discolored, the walls are stained, and there's just an overall grungy and outdated feel to the place. Someone gave me a Groupon for a prenatal massage here so I called to make an appointment for the following day. When I got there, the receptionist did have me down but she called my masseuse to make sure she was on her way. After I got undressed in my room, the receptionist came in to check my Groupon number which I had to get out of my purse while naked under the sheets. My masseuse came in and gave me some extra pillows for comfort. As for the breakdown of what she worked on, I would say it was 60% back, 10% legs, 10% arms/hands/fingers, and 20% butt. It was definitely more butt than I've gotten at other places. She asked if I wanted medium or hard... so I guess soft is not even an option. I mean, why get soft if you want a massage? The massage itself was decent. She used a lot of whatever lotion/oil they had and it didn't irritate my skin. When I was leaving, a different receptionist told me not to use Groupon and that they'll just give me the same rate (I'm not sure what rate it was purchased at anyway). read more

Booked appointment online with Lucy for 1 hour Swedish massage based on the great reviews she had. Twenty minutes prior to my appointment, I get a call from the receptionist stating another customer is there wanting services, but is requesting Lucy. Even though I booked online, the facility calls to ask if I would be ok with another masseuse so that the walk in customer can have Lucy as requested. This was new for me as I've never experienced this before, but thought this is very unprofessional and decided to still give it a try. I go in and the facility is ok and the staff was nice during our initial interaction. I get my massage and afterwards am leaving a tip for my masseuse, the man at the desk asks if I wasn't satisfied with the service since I was only leaving a $5 tip. Then I can hear the two ladies clearly talking in another language about the tip as if I was provided a service that I didn't pay for! First off, if a certain percentage is required for a tip....include it in your initial pricing. A tip should be whatever your customer can afford or is willing to give, but to question the amount or turn your nose down to any tip is flat out RIDICULOUS! That along with asking me to use another masseuse in order to accommodate another customer sealed the deal for me....definitely won't be going back! read more

My husband and I had been going here for yrs. And they did a pretty decent job. Not the best but suffice. Anyway I noticed over the years that every good therapist I had would leave. But I continued to patronize ( I live close by). Last year pre covid I went and had an unpleasant experience. I NEVER went back. My husband decided to give them a try on my birthday May 10th. Unbeknownst to me they over charged him, made him pay up front, and made us wait in the room for 20 minutes before starting. The same guy who worked the front desk is the same one who worked on me. (That's why it took so long). The Lady Diana asked my husband if there were specific areas that needed work, but she didn't even touch those areas. Because of their delay we had to modify our dinner reservations. And they had the nerve to expect a $40 tip. I tried to tell my husband not to patronize them. I used to go to this place every once in a while but the last time I went I did a couple massage and my partner hated it! He fell asleep for a short while and he and I noticed that the massage lady would stop massaging him and would leave in and out the room. The prices had recently went up and I paid for a full hour so I thought that was Super rude for her to not complete the service as paid for! Also the room was too warm and they used thick massage oil during session. My massage lady was ok but I told her to just massage my back but she did full body. The price was certainly right at 50/hour however the downsides were that the place is noisy and they would benefit from some white noise in the rooms to mask the chatter and phones in the lobby. The other thing that was annoying was their tip schedule posted to the wall 10.00 for ok service. 15.00 for good service and 20 for excellent. Seriously? The only reason I am giving this place a star is because the lady that I had massage me really did a good job. At first when you walk in, the place feels a little sketchy. I only went here because I am new to the area and I seen they had a pay $45 for $90 worth of work. THIS deal was NOT honored! The lady told me I could get 2 massages, one for an hour and the other for 30mins. So it's like they act like they will honor it, but when it comes time to pay, (which you pay before the massage) the lady said it would be $70. I don't know if she was trying to use the language barrier as an excuse to why she wasn't understanding me or not. But I sucked it up and took the 90min massage anyway. She tried to make me leave a tip before the massage, but that is a no no for me. I told her I would wait. Once the massage was over, and it did feel good btw, I walked out and the woman that worked on me asked how much tip did I want to leave. I handed her my card and told her $7...she looked at me and pointed to a sign that suggest how much they think you should pay, which ranges from $10-$20. I said no thank you I only tip 10% and the other lady made me pay $70 so yall can discuss how much of that she will give you. Just left Haven Day Spa from a Prenatal Massage with Patty and I feel AMAZING. This is my third prenatal massage in the last 3 weeks (Christmas gifts, totally not complaining!) Out of all three, the last one being at the ever elite Burke Williams, this was hands down the best. No jokes. Patty was perfect. She not only listened to what I said, but paid attention to my body. Which is wonderful because at 7 and half months pregnant, I feel all over the place. Very good masseuse who checked pressure and found my tight spots and kneed them out. She was very caring, but it'd be good if she asked if I had prior injuries cuz the therapeutic massage got quite a few over my limit stretches and I was a bit worried abt my ankle and wrist..... but overall very professional. I think it's really great that the owner reached out in such a speedy manner to ensure customer satisfaction. My appointment was with Diana. She was very good at medium pressure and making me feel very relaxed. She is very nice which also made me comfortable in returning there. Overall my second experience was a complete turn around. The owner also called to follow up with me about my second visit ( I have yet to call back as I'm currently at work updating this review lol) and I think that was very thorough of him to inquire. Just left Haven Day Spa. Will not be going back.... The place has the "happy ending" vibe due to it's sparse decorations and VERY low lighting, but the lady who working on me certainly did not seem to be like that. First I had to wait a few minutes while they "prepped the room". Would be understandable except that i seemed to be the only person in the place, so not sure what made fore the delay. My masseuse was a chubby cheerful person who had serious issues with English. I've been to several places and expect a certain amount of that, but this was much more so. When she came in the first thing she did was to completely cover me with a thin blanket/towel/sheet and begin the massage through that. This continued for the first third of my time, This process did not seem to be remotely therapeutic. Then she lowered the towel/blanket to have access to my back, and began a process working through my back from shoulders to upper hips, then started at the shoulders again, and then again. When she finally decided to work on my legs (10 minutes left) she covered my back, exposed one leg and then rubbed the back half of my leg down to my foot. Covered that up and exposed the other, same thing, massage back half only. At this point I figured that this will be a one sided massage, and I was right. No massage of face, front of shoulders, chest, abdomen, quads, shins, nothing. But I did get the back of my scalp rubbed three separate times??? Then she just said , "OK done" Chuckled a moment and then left. I got dressed and walked out without seeing a single person anywhere. Boy was I wrong ...... we get to business and my friend say jokingly...Wow this place looks like the type of place that gives happy endings. I laughed it off but once we got in I should have known that something was wrong. The price was way to cheap 100 dollars for two people to get massage for an hour. Anyways we go in they put us in a room tiny and procecced to press elbows in my back. Use there whole body weight taking my breath away while pushing on my back. I just left this place. Got a Groupon and added an additional service. My foot reflexology just seemed like a haphazard foot massage after soaking my feet in a dingy tub of water. Nothing was intentional or repeated on the other foot. She also sat on and applied pressure to my feet with her knees. It hurt like hell. And definitely didn't last an hour as advertised .Then my prenatal massage was ok minus the owner busting in yelling something at the masseuse while I'm laying there pregnant and naked. So uncomfortable. Very noisy which interferes with relaxation, you can hear people yapping away during your services. the cleanliness was so so but I didn't expect the Claremont at the rates they charge. I've tried this place last Friday,and I regret for the rest of my weekend. I had booked a 60-min massage, but I actually got a 50 minutes massage. They started my session late. The massu exerted so much pressure that left me with a swollen muscle and pain. Two days have passed and I am still with pain. I really don't recommend this place. Diana is amazing! I am not new to massages and have never been 100% impressed with the pressure of most deep tissue massages. I purchased a yelp deal for this place since have a pinched nerve in my upper back. the deal was for $80 in service. I made an appointment for the 2 hour package meant to include a 1 hour foot massage and a 1 hour massage ($78). When I arrived the bait and switch began, I was told that I could not use it for anything other than a one hour massage (Hawaiian and one other I've forgotten). I advised the front desk person that the print out does not say that, in fact it says no restrictions may be made after the fact. She was so rude and would not honour the yelp deal as writtien by saying that Yelp did not allow her to outline what services could be chosen. (This is not true). Because I was in so much pain I took the 1 hour massage anyway. The room was gross the table covering was wet, so I didn't take my clothes off and glad I had a towel of my own. The lady who did my massage was so nice and worked very hard to get the knot out of my back, she was the only reason this place got a single star from me. DO NOT BUY A YELP DEAL HERE. Apparently they have a groupon as well but that clearly states what services are available for the purchase.
