Foot Spa - love how my toes turned out and my feet feel really soft - Massage Near Me - San Leandro, California

$35 for a half hour foot massage and a tip seems a little steep for a grand opening. That price will definitely not bring in new customers as a grand opening. I'd suggest doing a foot flexology massage for an hour for $35 and $20 for a half hour especially to bring in new customers. It was empty when I went in Monday 10/27 because the price is too expensive. I'll look on Groupon for a better deal. read more

I don't normally go here, their pedicures are not that bad just don't ask for a design (designs are subpar). I went in for a pedicure and a fill after I left i noticed my nails looked horrible. The next day I noticed they had turned a purple tent. I went back to have them fix them and she still did a horrible job. Plan and simple she did a rush job. No attention to detail and very sloppy. I won't be back. I'd rather pay for quality service. read more

We have been here a few times now and each time the massage therapists do a great job, though it could be a hit or miss depending on who you get. The therapists tend to have pretty heavy hands though and are thorough, even though at times it can be a lot of inconsistent pressure. The inside of the massage rooms are really nice -- tall ceilings and you get your own private room unless you are doing a foot massage, which in that case you are in a room with about 8-10 other potential foot massages. However, I have heard other clients through the walls being really loud and rude, laughing or not paying the therapists any tips (and the therapists asking for more tips). So this place is not free of noise and in fact can be pretty loud and uncontrolled. I think the downsides about this place is that they charge $1 for every $5 you tip (if you tip on the card). I think that's an outrageous amount. They also charge $2 if you are paying by credit card. The front desk people can also be kind of rude, especially in how I've seen a male front desk person interact with other customers or even just people inquiring about services. During our last visit, we scheduled an appointment at 7:15 pm, and the lady was very curt when she said that if we didn't get there by 7:30 pm that there'd be no one there to let them in. We got the point when she told us don't be late twice... read more

Let me preface this negative review by saying that even a bad massage beats a day of digging ditches, right? That said: the masseur I had was clearly untrained. I could have bought a copy of "Massage for Dummies" and done an equivalent job. It is the kind of massage you do for a spouse or friend: well-meaning but sloppy. I have had Asian massages before, here and in Asia, so I am not just speaking out of my arse here. First of all, he kept glopping cold lotion on me even though I told him at least 4 or 5 times to warm the lotion with his hands first. Then, he was too rough on the sensitive parts of my body. If I had any confidence in his knowledge of acupressure points I would not have minded, but I was so sure that he didn't know what he was doing that I really worried that he could do something painful. At the end, when the masseur cups their hands and slaps you all over, he was really perfunctory and then banged me on the back and said "OKAY!" Here is the worst part: After paying, I asked the girl at the front to show me the massage license of my masseur. She shrugged and looked around the walls and then pointed at the business license! "Maybe the owners know where those are kept, I don't know, I just started here," she said. This place is pretty clean and the nature videos and soft music are a plus. But it's not enough to bring me back. read more

Foot Spa - Massage Near Me - San Leandro, California

I went in for a combination massage....the massage therapist My was great. I thought it was a joke an additional 20.00 for "extra clean" during covid. I would think a spa of any sort would already be following infection control...but to charge an additional fee was outrageous. Needless to say, I paid the 20 because I needed a massage..... Any honey when I tell you she got that knot of my ass...... I'm a fan and I'll pay the extra 20 for extra clean..... read more

I've been to a lot of these foot massage locations over the past 10 years. This one was much different and not in a good way. I only wanted my feet massaged but they insisted on my whole body too. When the guy "massages" my head he kept grabbing my hair and tugging at it. That is not a massage. The foot part was not too good either, he kept massaging the same spot the whole time and it didn't even feel good. Then upon leaving it stated MINIMUM TIP $10. I'm sorry but if the service is not good, you do not deserve $10. Tips are given based on how good the service is. I handed the guy two $5 bills and he stopped in front of me so I could not walk out until he counted it. Just a really bad experience and I will not be back. read more

Love to go for a foot massage, very serene massage spot. The masseuses are very understanding and they take tip via cash. The tip is 8, but I usually give $10 because the massage is pretty good. It is connected to a hair salon spot however, it's separate and the massage chairs are soft, cozy and it makes it easy to take a nap there. read more

"Foot Spa" is kind of deceiving.... they don't just massage your feet.. it's head to toe!! $20 for an hour too! I think it may be called foot spa because you're on a reclining chair the whole time rather than massage beds. But it's still awesome! Location: It is located in an old building upstairs. It may be hard to find but it's that gray building on the corner of Estudillo and Bancroft. Atmosphere: It's really small, maybe about 6-7 reclining chairs, so it's best if you call to make an appointment. They're all placed side by side, so it's not like you get your own room/area. But it's still very quiet, they play relaxing music and videos on the TV screens mounted on the wall. The Massage itself: Start you off with putting your feet in hot water. While it's in there, the masseuse starts massaging your face! Ohh that felt so good. It was one of my favorite parts of the massage, rubbing through my forehead, cheeks, chin, and pressing pressure points on the temples. Then she moves on to the head, hair, neck, shoulders, upper back. Then your arms, hands, fingers. After all of that, she finally removes your feet out of the water and massages that. Tells you to turn around and does dry kneading with your clothes still on. Advice: bring cash for tip (they say $5 minimum). Wear shorts or loose pants because they do not provide any. Overall: I was pleased. I went because I had a knot on my foot which kind of got better but not fully. If you really want to focus on the feet then you should tell them and they will do accordingly. Although the masseuse does not speak much English, they are very nice and gentle. I kind of wish she just let me sit there for 5 minutes after the massage was over just to relax, she had to tell me twice "OK, OK" meaning she was done haha. But it's a great place to go if you live near by for affordable massage :) read more

Other than leaving this place super rushed and looking like I lathered my hair in Crisco, the massage was not that bad. I was about to leave a $2.50 tip, but the guy at the counter told me to just keep my money. At first I felt insulted, as if my money wasn't good enough, until he directed my attention to a sign that read $5 minimum tip. Ok, so I may be an average tipper and you won't get much privacy here in the open massage room, but $25 for an hour long massage is nothing compared to Massage Envy which is about 4 times this price. Here is the breakdown of the massage: First they massage your face, rub their loitioned fingers through your hair, press against pressure points and slightly tug on your roots. Sounds like the beginning of some kind of cat fight, i know and this was my least favorite part. It was not at all pleasant since I felt the guy's callused hands rub against my face. Second part: massage of arms and legs. now i made the mistake and wore jeans - big no no! it took me forever to roll them up. my advice to you, wear sweats or stretchy pants since this is a fully clothed massage. Third: Back...finally! My masseuse worked through my tough knots and i can tell he was getting frustrated at how many knots i had with his occasional grunting. Awkward, definitely, but he managed to iron most of the kinks out! That was the end of my massage....And yes just like the way I am ending this review, my massage also ended abruptly with no time for me to just sit there, relax for a bit, and recuperate. read more

The massages offered by foot spa are extremely reasonable. Years ago I used to go to their previous location. *Remember to bring cash for a tip. I believe $5 is the minimum, but that seems too low for what they do. I usually give $20 for a 2 hour massage, which is only $65. Can't beat that deal! My husband and I go here often. It's convenient and the price is usual. We are satisfied with their services. When you want something in particular, ask them to see if they can do it. My husband wanted them to put more pressure on his shoulders and neck, the woman who gave him a massage was perfect. He felt so relax afterwards that he tipped her 20 bucks. He got her name for next time. Will update when I get it from him. As for me, I love their massages. read more

I went to this place last year. Make sure you make an appointment. First, I have to say that the price is probably the lowest you might find anywhere. Staff was nice and friendly, and facility seemed to be fairly clean. I was actually a little disappointed when I went. I was expecting a "foot massage". The foot part of the massage was very nice, but then the gal started giving me a full body massage. which was a little painful. There is no privacy there, so it was a little awkward, but I tried to be a good sport about it. The thing about this place, is that I dont think they are experienced in the massage therapy area, because a real therapist would ask you questions related to your health. Some people with medical conditions or pregnant women can not have certain types of massage if any at all. I did tip extra because it was a full hour of their time, they do work hard, are nice, and the price was dirt cheap to begin with. Funny, because when I left, my hair looked like it had been combed with an egg beater, and my butt cheeks were massaged so roughly that they felt like they were now pushed up to the back of my shoulders. it's not a horrible place, but definitely not great. I will not be a repeat customer. read more

This place is pretty confusing. When you arrive, "Foot Spa" is NOT the actual name of business. It's the entrance to a salon, but if you look close enough, there are some prices list on the window for massage services. Once inside, you'll realize you've stepped into a salon. The guy behind the counter is plain out rude, but I can deal with it. There is a secret doorway to a massage parlor. At this point, you might think it's a happy ending service, but here's the clue. If the massage rooms have walls that don't go all the way up to the ceiling, it's a legitimate massage business. The point is that you can hear people in the next room, and happy ending massage needs good sound proofing. My wife and I were here for a couple's massage, and our opinions align. The massage itself was okay... They don't know how to find areas where you have tension. Most of these places just have a routine they go through and off you go. I also felt like the masseuse could have kept me better covered. The rooms were very cold and she would leave my back exposed while she massaged my butt/thighs. I probably would not come back. read more

As far as foot massage places go, this had to be the most relaxing/beneficial/bang for your buck massage I've ever had for $25/hr! Made a same-day appointment for my mom and I, already having low expectations. We checked in 10 mins beforehand, but were taken in right on time. The oil they used had a pleasant and light aromatherapy scent, and the place didn't have any odor like other places do. It was very clean. What you get: facial massage, shoulder/neck, arms/hands, legs/feet... then you turn over on your tummy and get a back, neck and shoulder massage. I highly recommend! read more

Was told to check this place out after dinner last eve.Definitely couldn't turn down a $20 massage plus $5 tip. This could turn out to be a weekly routine for the price! hmmm not exactly. Generally I don't care if I get a male or female masseuse but I would have preferred a much gentler touch on this eve.I run track professionally and thought Id swing by and get some great work done.Obviously none of the people at this spot are trained in what they do.Their does seem to be a routine but it seemed to include slamming the feet down on a hard wood box, manhandling the neck, and slapping my butt? My feet were done well however I have had a hard time moving around with the rest of my now stiff body. The price is definitely appealing...Just remember that you get what you pay for! read more

I came to this establishment with my sister and mom a few weeks ago for a much needed massage. Recommended by a friend, I wanted to try out this place especially since it was an hour full body massage for only $25. It's definitely cheap especially for a massage place. I came during a Wednesday and was immediately serve because they weren't very busy. But eventually later on, the place got really packed. So I suggest making reservation especially during the weekend. Unlike other places where people take off their clothes. This place is quite the opposite because they massage you fully clothed. So make sure to wear comfortable clothes. Also, it's not a private session so you pretty much seen everyone being massage. This place isn't upscale like those other massage places. But in my opinion for $25 dollar this place is definitely worth a try because they definitely know how to give good massages. So if your in the San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Hayward area don't hesitate to check this place out. read more

$20 For a full body massage!!!??? holy (#&*!!! How can you not get one ? you can't beat that price! Of course, the name is a little misleading but this place is Awesome! The Spa is located on the second floor of a building and has a very convenient parking lot rite in front. Since its on the 2nd floor im not sure if its wheelchair Accesible. However, Even though the place is a little small, it makes up with its hospitality and quality of service. there's always relaxing music and soothing video's playing on the wall-mounted tv screens that keeps you engaged while getting your massage. The Masseusse know what they're doing and give your a very good full-body massage, the way you want it, everytime. Overall, im very satisfied with their service for the price I pay. Cheers! read more

$20 for an hour massage! Seriously?! I really didn't know what to expect for a massage that cost only $20. But it was nice and serene. The facility is what you expect for the price, but the service was much better. It was a foot spa but the masseusse spent more time and focus on my back and my bum. Hmmm... Interesting. Overall, very impressed with the massage for the price. read more

My shoulders have been stiff for a while, so I was looking for a massage place and found out that Foot-Spa offers 60 min. head to toe massage for $19.99. -- Isn't it so cheap?? I was little bit worried b/c it's so cheap but excited at the same time. I made an appointment at 11am b/c I found out they have a happy hours special deal for before noon, which is head to toe massage for $17.99! When I got there, some people...a couple, and a lady were about to leave and I was invited to the massage room. There are about 5 chairs in the dark room with healing music and TV monitors, which was showing some natures and animals... First, the therapist put my legs in a bucket with warm water and put me a blanket, then massaged my face and head - it was good. and arm, feet, leg...then I was told "Face down", he started my back massage--it was little bit painful. Actually, foot massage was great and could be the best I had ever had. Foot-Spa is still new, but looked like pretty popular and while I was getting massage, there were other customers and some people who just show up had to come back b/c they were fully booked. so I recommend to make an appointment. By the way, they will ask you for regular price unless you tell them you are there for happy hour price even though you mention it when you make an appointment. Also, they put a message on the wall "Please help! at least $5 tip" - and when they give you a change, they automatically subtract $5 for tip...it's ok b/c I liked their massage and its price set very cheap. read more

If you're looking for a place with a relaxing ambience, bright lights, clean walls, quiet atmosphere...this place is NOT for you. It's dark, the masseurs and masseuses speak loudly enough to be disruptive, and when they're in the washroom, the running water is loud and un-relaxing. They have what appears to be three separate rooms, two for public $20 massages, and one private room. But the walls are made of plywood, and you can see all the nails sticking out. Very shoddy construction! However, if you're looking for a good massage, this might be the place for you. I was assigned a man, whom the front desk lady called "Sifu." I'm not sure if this is an indication of his mastery...but he was impressively good! I didn't have to ask him to go harder or softer. He just knew what type of pressure was necessary for the appropriate muscle. He was very proper with moving the towels and clothes around to get to the skin. He didn't breathe over me, so that I could smell his breath. He was very quiet about moving the equipment and chairs around, so I hardly noticed his presence. I just closed my eyes, ignored my surroundings, and relaxed. Before I knew it, my hour was up, and I was thoroughly pleased with the massage. I even tipped him so me more, after the massage! Keep in mind that they asked for payment before the massage. It was odd' because other massage places have never done that to me. Also, they have a sign on the front desk wall that says, "$5 minimum tip." They accept both can and credit card. There's an open parking lot in the back, so just park in the spots that are not marked reserved. I'll definitely be coming back when my stress level gets high enough to deserve a massage! read more

Rude! Rude I just called to inquire about their service and the guy who answered is rude. When i said i go to a place in Fremont that charges $20 ...he said to go there. Wow!! First of all, let me say to the people who complained about the mandatory $5 tip.... Quit your damn whining, it's an hour long massage for $25. What is there to complain about ? You can easily pay twice that and get less from most spas. Now that I've got that off my chest... This place is the best deal I've ever seen. A very good hour massage for a fantastic price. $20 bucks for an hour is pretty good, and they don't only massage your feet they do your entire body, but you keep your cloths on. The place is clean and the massage therapist are very nice. They play some relaxing music in the background which makes it nice. They put your feet in a bucket of water when you first get there, I'm only a size ten but my feet didn't fit very well in the bucket, which made it a little uncomfortable. Also they require to you leave a $5 tip, which is reasonable but I really don't like being told what I have to leave as far as gratuity. I would probably go back here, but I would probably only have them massage my feet. read more

The best 60 min massage $20 can buy!!! Like everyone said this is a full body, fully clothed massage. I do wish they spent a little more time on the feet, but overall I was happy with the massage. I was a little leary at first because you walk into a very dark room, where there are several other people of both sexes laying on the chairs. I couldn't really see what was going on and it was my first time there....so I had my pepper spray at the ready. Heehee! It was all good though! I was impressed that they use disposable liners for the buckets that they soak your feet in. That's an A+++ from me! From what I could see it looked clean, no funny odors or anything, and I was paying close attention that they replaced the linens with clean ones between customers. I don't want any funny business going on....if ya know what I mean! I will definitely be a regular at this place as long the price stays low. Also, I would highly recommend you make an appointment. I went on Thurs at 2:30 pm and there was an hour wait, so I set an appointment for the following afternoon at 1 pm. There was a steady flow of customers while I was there. read more

I try and come here once a month. It's affordable and they do a great job!

Wow this place was a nifty little surprise! The whole set up seems strange to me - located in an ancient medical building without much signage or directions to find it. (Hint: it's upstairs!) Then when you go inside it's a tiny lobby, and the massage room is nearly pitch black with beds all over the room. But for the price, what's to complain about? You will probably do best to make an appointment - I call ahead and usually they fit me in within a half hour to an hour. This is a clothes on full body massage. You are not in a private room. It will be an hour long. The cost is $25 with tip. The masseuses cannot communicate very well in English, but will do their best to focus on whatever area you want. I find this place to be a great hole in the wall to come and relax. It's such a bargain! read more

1 HOUR FULL BODY MASSAGE FOR $20 !!! I walk out of here paying $25 and that includes a tip. If you're looking for a private spa where you can get nakey and massaged or need complete silence- this is not the place for you. However, if you just want an amazing massage and don't care much about the ambiance- COME! I've been here a few times and I can't wait to go back. Theres "rooms" that have 2 beds in each section and 1 "room" that i believe is for a private massage- not too sure about that one. Bring a friend so you won't feel weird getting massaged a few feet away from a stranger. I'm not big on strangers, but the times I've been massaged next to a stranger I didn't even notice because I'm too focused on my massage and end up being half asleep form the relaxation! They provide a bucket for you to drop your belongings in and get straight to business. First they soak your feet and have you lay back while they begin massaging your head/face. Then work your arms and back to your feed then proceed to do your legs and back. Usually I wear a tank top and leggings or shorts so it can be the closest to skin on skin contact. I went with my friend the other day and she told me the guy massaging her put a towel over her back (she was wearing a tank) when he was massaging her back. I never had this problem- but I wonder if you can ask them to not use a towel? Not too sure if an appointment is required, but I always make them. I called 10 minutes before I wanted to come and they were able to accommodate my time request. I don't know how you can talk bad about this place- you're seriously getting an hour full body massage for rediculously cheap! read more

my go to spot for a foot massage... i never had a bad experience... my best tip call ahead especially if ur in a group of 2 or more

This place was AMAZING!! I used to go to the location on Bancroft Ave and never had any complaints, but that one is no longer there. Today, my cousin and I went in for their "foot spa" (which is actually a full body 1 HOUR massage) and this new place is everything! From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the remodeled interior is very ZEN, clean, and modern. It felt like we were in a totally different place. We had David and Tony, who were both amazing! You can tell they're very experienced and educated in their craft. We both raved to each other for an hour after we left about how they hit all the right spots and were so great at what they do. The massage is only $25, not including tip, which should at least be $10, but $35 total for an excellent 1 hour body massage is not bad at all. I snapped a photo of one of the private rooms, but unfortunately I didn't get one of the 4 bed sanctuary we were in. Lol... it was so good! One last tip I wanted to include: *wear leggings and a tank top (no bra) if you're comfortable. Also no makeup. This makes for the best experience. They do start with your face and head, and use lotion throughout the whole hour, so less is better. At least for me. read more

Okay,$20 for a one hour massage; who can complain right? Although the price is very good, the staff speaks little to no English so communicating what you want done can be a pain. Also, it is hit and miss as far as the quality you get. I swear, it seemed like when we got our couples massage, the masseuse was just copying what the other masseuse as doing. It's a no brainer if you want something super cheap. Just be wary that they have a sign that says $5 minimum tip. I've seen other people give the $5 min tip and given the evil eye; which I partially understand because I'm pretty sure the folks who work here get less than minimum wage. For this reason I give them double the tip, which they appear to appreciate. Oh one thing; be prepared to get that "this is a shady establishment" kind of feeling when you first walk in. I begrudgingly give them 3 stars because it is a very economically good deal. Just don't expect to walk out of there with your kinks and knots loosened. It's a quick fixer upper for those days where you just want to relax a little at a fraction of the price. Sorry, no Zen or spa music here either so don't even ask. read more
