Came here to celebrate my wife's birthday and can honestly say this was the perfect place for dinner. The ambiance gives luxury, authentic, & high quality which absolutely matches the items on the menu. Our service was incredible, with an ideal balance of attention and space. They were always near but not overbearing and would anticipate our needs as we progressed through the meal. All of our rolls (Bonfire & Cherry Blossom) and Nigiri pieces (Hamachi & Unagi) were great and would order them again. Overall we had a lovely visit and would definitely recommend.

Nicest people, always clean and welcoming when you arrive. Plus the food is delicious and the Japanese whiskey selection is the best in the city! This is a go to dinner for my husband and I when we want to have a great meal. He loves the toro nigiri and I get something different each time.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant! The location is perfect! The service is always great! The food is always so fresh! I came here with a friend as she'd never been! It was my first time coming when it was so busy! The entire place was nearly packed! But I was so happy to see it so busy! We split a bunch of rolls and they were amazing as always!

Holy smokes! Literally. They have a roll called the campfire that literally comes out on fire. This place is amazing! First off, the owners are so kind. They own another sushi spot in the Geist area as well (forget the name). The vibe and decor here are great. Nice date night spot, or evening out with girlfriends. They also have a decent sized bar top that I was not expecting. I'm not the biggest sushi eater, but I can say this place made me step outside my comfort zone! Everything I had was super fresh, and tasted really good. +campfire roll 10/10 +orange blossom 9/10 +spicy california roll 10/10 +potstickers 9/10 +veg egg rolls 10/10

I really enjoyed my time here. It was my friend's birthday and they played her happy birthday over the speaker and gave the table complimentary mochi ice cream. Our waitress was super attentive even though there were only two of them to the whole place. The sushi was delicious! Even my other friend who normally doesn't eat raw enjoyed her raw roll. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated.

My hubby and I went here for a date night it was a fantastic experience! We sat at the bar and the bartender and weight staff were just amazing with us. They were so kind and so helpful. They were so mindful as well. We were able to watch whatever game was going on that night from the bar and had the most delicious sake I've ever had. We also got to try their fried oysters, and that is probably my favorite part. We ordered about four rolls in between us two specialties two house rolls and no complaints there at all, it was delicious. They also have a really good really spicy chili sauce that I recommend so overall one of the best places I've ever had sushi in our city. Definitely need to check it out.

My new favorite sushi spot!! Everything was delicious and the vibes of the place were immaculate. Easy parking out front which is also a plus. A casual yet sophisticated touch and very attentive service. The crab rangoon and 5 sushi rolls we ordered were served pretty quickly and tasted delicious. Draft sapporo in a frosted glass elevated the experience! Prices were great for sushi and we can't wait to go back.

Our cousins talked about Hasuno non stop with us so we had to check it out! We've never had so many uncooked rolls in our life..like ever lol. Every single roll was SO good, SO flavorful, and the seafood was SO SO fresh! No fishy aftertaste or smell. The volcano sauce on top of the scallop roll stole the show IMO but you can't go wrong with any of their rolls!

We went to celebrate a birthday on the recommendation from a friend. We started with some saki drinks and their featured appetizer and crab Rangoon. This is not your grandfather's crab Rangoon. Lots of delicious crab and a slightly sweet and spicy sauce. Very good. We also had seaweed salad And several rolls. The volcano roll is a great presentation complete with Fire. Everything was very delicious. Our server brought us a chocolate cake for dessert that included a candle for the birthday celebration. This is high quality food and drink with very attentive service. A new favorite on our list of options near the downtown area.

I hate to leave a bad review but I am very disappointed with the quality and size of the sushi rolls for the price. You can't really tell from my photo, but these are some of the smallest rolls I've ever had at a sushi restaurant that isn't bottom tier. I am not sure if it was just the sushi chef we had this day. My boyfriend and I frequent sushi restaurants and usually share 4 rolls and leave full, but we both left hungry, $75 later. The rolls had hardly any fish inside and it was primarily cucumber and avocado. The salmon on top was a very odd texture and the striping looks like it could be fake fish. Our server was great, but we also waited a very long time for our food. Overall, I do not recommend for sushi. Look to other restaurants for higher quality and larger portions.

I met a friend at this fairly new addition to the Fletcher Place/Fountain Square area after work. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It was confortable and quiet with a very zen feeling. Just what I needed after working. We each ordered an appetizer; crab rangoons for her, shrimp shumai for me. Both apps were beautifully presented and hit the spot. I noted a sake flight at another table and recalled seeing it on the specials board so I caved and also got one. I wish you could choose your flight but it was done well and included a lychee sake-exactly what I wanted! Our sushi came out and unfortunately I've forgotten which rolls we got. Both were again, beautifully presented and quite good. I liked the size of each piece-a nice bite without feeling like I was stuffing my face. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Hasuno. The ambience did liven up as it got later but kept a pleasant buzz vs hectic chattering. Service was quietly efficient and the food pleasant to both the eye and palate. The parking lot is very small and awkward but there is easy parking on East and Virginia streets. With Hasuno's location close to my workplace I will definitely return to treat myself to a wind down here after a busy day.

We had a tasty and efficient meal here. The hubs and I ordered entrees and the kid ordered sushi. All food came out at the same time, which was nice and doesn't always happen when you're getting food from the kitchen and the bar. The food was very tasty, though the crab rangoons had minimal filling and my salmon was overcooked. Service was fairly quick. The kid decided midway through the meal that she wanted another sushi roll, and they expedited it so she wasn't waiting too long while the rest of our party finished eating. It is beautiful inside. We also appreciated that in addition to two gender neutral restrooms, they have a sink in the hallway so you don't have to wait for a bathroom to open up if you only want to wash your hands.

Great sushi spot downtown Indy. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Sushi is made with care and detail so have patience but it is definitely worth it. Espresso martini was very good! They have small parking lot and some outdoor seating.

The Whisk has been on our road trip list for awhile, and we finally went with some friends. Greencastle has never been high on my priority list of places to visit, but I'd heard rumors about "The Whisk" being a great place to visit for whisky lovers like myself. And the rumors were true! Walking up to The Whisk...well, that doesn't happen. You have to walk down some stairs that are nondescript, giving the entrance a very old fashioned speakeasy vibe. I immediately fell in love. It feels like a secret club that I'm a part of! The humidor attendant was helpful and patient with the members of our party that didn't really know what they wanted. We were seated at a long table near the bar, though we took up a couple of smaller tables as well. They do a phenomenal job of air quality management, even though there were a ton of people smoking, the air seemed quite clean, enough so that a non-smoker would probably be comfortable hanging out with a friend who was smoking without being uncomfortable. Though they only have a small selection of beer, they did have some fairly good options. I had a Goose Island Cherries Jubilee Bourbon County Stout (quite nice), and a Camacho cigar.
