Blue lavender matcha (left), white chocolate brown butter latte (middle), dirty Thai tea (right)

The food was delicious! The flavors were super unique and the serving size was pretty big. I got the Crazy Rich Asians Benedict which was insanely unique and tasty. It was super, super filling, so definitely didn't need to order other things. We also ordered the Greek spreads, my favorite of which was the red beet hummus. The sourdough pieces it came with were seasoned well. One of the dips did have a piece either of plastic or glass that seems to have broken off that we removed. I ordered a dirty Thai tea as well. The drink was a bit grainy and I had to keep mixing it. Flavor wise, it tasted pretty good so I still enjoyed it but it wasn't as smooth as other times I've gotten the same drink at other places. The outdoor area is cute when the weather is nice, but the indoor did feel very cramped in case of days where the weather may not be as nice.

This restaurant is a little odd in the way it is set up, but I thought the food was really good. There is limited space in the restaurant so you can see the chefs in the cramped space running around to get orders done. There are also minimal tables to sit at, although the places gets very packed. The water is self-serve and you have to go up to order. However, they do bring the food out to you. At first they forgot the Avocado Fries included in my order but were quick to bring it out after asking about it. Although a little cramped, I think the food here is very good. It is a little expensive but I think the quality makes up for it.

This place had a great atmosphere and I really liked the outside seating. Plus, you order inside and they bring it out to you so it's easy to meet friends to hangout. The ingredients were fresh, but I will say it was a little overpriced for what you get. The flavors were excellent in the mushroom toast and they were very beautifully plated. If you like afternoon, you will definitely like this place.

Looking for a great local gem- gotta try the smoked salmon toast! Wow! Funky atmosphere. Fun for a lunch date. Unique drinks and entrees. They sell sourdough loaves too. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Recommend NOT using their water closest unless absolutely necessary.

Very cute little brunch place. Amazing food, big portions, friendly staff, and overall great vibes. Love to go here the day after a night out for a hearty meal.

The food had great flavor. They've combined super interesting flavors that dance well together. I found the price & the value to be well matched too. We enjoyed our food & our strong* drinks! Only drawback is the seating. The inside is tiny & although there are picnic tables outside, the seating is tight & hot here in Florida.

Food was so good I had to personally thank the chef. The ambiance is nothing fancy but it is cute. The fried avocado was really good. We almost made the dastardly mistake of not ordering the French Toast. My friend dang near licked her plate, she ordered the Salmon Benedict. She said it was messy but that did not stop her from devouring every bite. We just got some extra napkins. I am 1000% sure I will be back.

I am shocked that this place is not busier! It doesn't have more than a few small tables, but if you're looking for great brunch with no wait, look no further! There's also free parking around the back, so don't use "no parking" as a reason not to come! The menu is fresh and avocado centered. Everything looks amazing, it was really hard to decide. The chefs cook in front of you, which is cool, and the staff are super friendly. I got the shakshuka and my friend got the chicken and waffles. Both were absolutely delicious. She really enjoyed her latte as well. Will have to return to try the rest of the menu!

I've been seeing everyone posting pics from Hass kitchen all over my Instagram feed and the aesthetic of the food caught my eye so I needed to try it out. I came by with a friend for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and the place was super empty, we were the only two inside the entire hour we were there. The interior is cute and rustic-y decorated, but doesn't really have AC and there were a couple flies that kept bothering us. It's counter service, so we ordered with the girl at the counter and then they made the food and brought it out to us. We ordered the eggs benedict and shakshuka, both of which were super cute and aesthetic to look at. I did enjoy the shakshuka but felt like the eggs benedict was lacking flavor and got dull really quickly. While I enjoyed the brunch I just can't justify spending $18 on a small plate of food...

Came here for brunch with my friends and we really enjoyed it. We arrived around 12pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. The location is nice if you live on campus but there is limited parking. Make sure you DO NOT park in the McDonald's across the street, you will get booted!! The restaurant is not very big and the ordering system is very easy. You simply order your food at the counter and they'll bring it out to you when it arrives. They will also give you silverware for you food after you order. This is nice because it allows you to choose your seating and makes the environment a lot more laid back. The interior is really cute and quaint. There are many aesthetic elements around the eatery and it provides for a fun dining experience. The service was fine, you do not interact with them too much due to the style of dining, but they were nice. The menu is quite diverse and has a lot of different fusion options to choose from. They have something for just about everyone and the food is really unique. I will note the prices are a little pricey...but the portions are decent size and the quality is very good. We started with the French toast sticks. They use their housemade vanilla-cinnamon brown sugar brioche bread and serve it with a Thai tea icing dipping sauce. They were served fresh off the griddle and were AMAZING. The sticks were so soft on the inside and the dipping sauce had just the right amount of sweetness, pairing perfectly with the brioche bread. I would highly recommend these as a starter/shareable. For my main, I ended up ordering the Shakshuka. It included spiced tomato, poached eggs, avocado-feta cream, herbs, cilantro, and warm sourdough. This was a really flavorful and hearty dish. The eggs were poached just right and the yolk was nice and runny. The avocado-feta cream was really tangy and worked well with the spice of the tomato. The sourdough bread was heavenly and I enjoyed dipping it into the dish. Really good and would also recommend. My friends ordered the egg toast, hash bowl, and the strawberry & citrus salad. They all enjoyed there dishes as well. Two of my friends made modifications to their hash bowls and they did confuse their orders. One ordered with over easy eggs and no avocado. She received a bowl with the avocado and sunny-side up eggs. While the other ordered the hash bowl with sausage instead of ham and sunny-side up eggs. She received a bowl with fully cooked eggs and no avocado. This was slightly inconvenient, but it wasn't a major problem. They also noted that some of the hash browns in the bowl were a little too salty and the bowl could have had fewer of them. Regardless, all our plates had lovely presentation and were quite flavorful! Overall, this was a tasty brunch! The location is great if you live near campus, but parking could be a challenge. The inside is super cute and makes for a great place to eat, both inside and out. There are aspects of the service that could be better, but overall it was decent. The menu is very diverse and has many savory and sweet options to choose from. I appreciated the unique menu and what it had to offer. The prices may be a little higher, but the quality is there and the portions are filling. This is a super fun eatery here in Gainesville, I cannot wait to return and explore more of the menu!

First time to Gainesville, and I loved how the place was set up and the vibe. I always try to order something that I can't get anywhere else. So I went for the crazy Rich Asians Benedict. I'm giving it a 4, id order it again, I just wish the bacon was a little more on the savory side, and instead of 4 thick slices of toasted brioche, I think two slices would've sufficed. I did appreciate the spice element. I recommend it.

The atmosphere is just the best and I always have a good time! Seating is first come, first serve or seat yourself situation. So if there is a big game, you should get there a couple hours early to ensure you get a seat. Otherwise you will be wondering the restaurant trying to pounce on an open seat the second you see one. We actually arrived 2.5 hours before the game even started and almost all the seats were taken already. While this can be a little chaotic, it really adds to the experience of eating here on a game day! It was absolutely PACKED for the national championship, people were even bringing chairs from home to sit outside. We ended up sitting at a small outdoor bar. Our bartender or server, Maddie, was excellent. She made sure we were satisfied the whole time and did a great job checking in on us. She was also super friendly and great to talk to! Considering how busy it was, the food didn't take too long to come out. When it is super busy, you can order food at the bar (inside or outside one) and don't need to have a table to receive service. The staff did a great job keeping up with everything and making sure things were running as efficiently as possible. For the food, the five of us started with an order of mozzarella sticks and their famous buffalo chicken dip. The mozzarella sticks are a new menu item and feature golden-fried mozzarella sticks, crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside, served with ranch marinara. These were really, really good, with a nice cheese pull and the perfect amount of breading. I was quite surprised with how tasty these were! The Buffalo chicken dip consists of pulled chicken mixed with buffalo wing sauce, melted cheddar, pepper jack, and cream cheese, finished with ranch and an extra kick of hot sauce, served with tortilla chips, celery, and carrots. This was AMAZING and a perfect starter for the table to share. Served in a cast iron skillet, the portion is huge and the dip is super flavorful and creamy. There weren't enough chips served with the dip for all of us, but our server was happy to give us a complimentary tray of chips. I can easily see why this is a favorite and I will definitely be ordering this next time I come here! I also got a side Caesar salad and thought that was great as well. It was a nice portion, with fresh romaine, shredded Parmesan cheese, croutons, and capers. We ordered our entrees around kickoff, I ended up getting the Founder's Club Sandwich. The Founder's Club included a grilled chicken breast topped crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese, served on toasted sourdough bread, with a side of swamp sauce. All the entrees come with fries, unless you want to upgrade to another side or request not to have them. I really enjoyed this sandwich. The chicken had a nice char to it and was surprisingly juicy. I appreciated the sourdough bread over a regular bun as well. The subtleness of the provolone cheese and the fresh tomato were great too! Overall, we had an awesome time watching the CFB national championship at The Swamp. The atmosphere and vibes are unmatched. Service was awesome and the workers there are so on top of things. Food hit the spot and the Buffalo chicken dip was our favorite. Can't wait to come back!!

We were seated promptly, and our waitress, Alexa C., was fantastic--very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. If we could change one thing, it would be to expand the on-tap menu or include more detailed descriptions of their specialty brews. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and it's a fun spot to hang out. Any Gators fan absolutely needs to stop by--it's part of the Gainesville experience.

Their ingredients are all very fresh and whole food focused. They pride themselves in using primarily olive oil for all their cooking--which I absolutely LOVE. The staff is always super helpful and very friendly. This particular location is also kept very clean, which is always appreciated. The portion sizes are always very filling as well. Some may consider the food to be more expensive, but I think it is fair. Especially compared to other eateries around (that are the same price), Bolay's quality and quantity easily justify the price. I always order a large Bol. The large bol consists of 4 greens, grains, or vegetables, 2 proteins, 3 toppings, and an optional sauce. I usually opt for a grain, a green, and 2 vegetables for the base. I find this to balance the bol out the most. My bol consisted of 100% whole grain black rice, chopped kale salad, garlic broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes, signature steak, rotisserie chicken thigh, pickled onions, feta, and chimichurri tomatoes. Their rice is always cooked to perfect and I enjoy their jasmine rice a lot. But the black rice was new to me. I'm so glad I tried it as it had a lot of flavor. A "nuttier" taste with a slightly stickier consistency, it was really good. You can never go wrong with any of their salads, broccoli, or sweet potatoes. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly! Seasoned just right, they are never dry, and have good texture. I definitely credit this to the fact they use olive oil to cook all their vegetables. Another thing I ALWAYS order is their signature steak. While this is a $3.75 up-charge, it is 100% worth it. The medium rare cook on the steak never fails and the portion is generous. I also tried the rotisserie chicken thigh for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed that too. I never order a sauce for my bols as I find the food has enough flavor itself. All in all, I need to go to Bolay more frequently next semester. A great, healthy option that fills you up and doesn't leave you feeling bloated--they offer so many great options! You can tell they use fresher ingredients and better cooking methods, which I greatly appreciate. The vegetables are delicious, the proteins are tender, and the portions are large. I think this one of the better lunch or dinner options in midtown. You are paying for higher quality food and getting more out of it compared to other places around. Cannot wait for my next visit come August!
